Cleans your car enough......sort of. This is my 2nd time trying this car wash since it's so close to home. The 1st time after paying their most expensive option which is $13, was surprised how quick it was. Literally just rinsed/scrub/rinse Most other loop car washes are longer and also include the tri color shampoo/soap. Which I did not see at this shell car wash. Figured maybe they were out of the soap for that particular day. Came back for the 2nd time today and same thing. Rinse/Scrub/Rinse Didn't see any sort of soap/foam/bubbles of any kind. At the end of the day my car is clean enough I guess. But will no longer come back to this location. There's 2 LOOP Shell car washes on hickey blvd that are Amazing lol not this place though. This review is for the car wash. It is the worst $13 spent for a car wash. Needed to get the soot and ash off the daily driver after weeks of fires around the bay. Decided to go to the shell since it was the closest. Generally speaking, the car washes at gas stations are decent at best, but this was the worst experience! Paid $13 for the ultimate wash. The undercarriage spray was a joke, pressure was probably turned down to the lowest setting. Very little soap, only two passes and the top scrubber stopped and lifted half way through, leaving half the upper portion of my car untouched. read more

Extremely poor customer service, this tall Caucasian male was at the register the line was long, I waited in line i was the fifth person in line and all I needed was 4 quarters to use their vacuum there at the gas station. Mind you I waited in this long line and asked the gentleman politely could he manage to give me 4 quarters so I could use the vacuum he doesn't check his register, he looks at me rudely hands on the counter and states "it takes card" mind you I seen that it indeed does take card I already had a single dollar bill and 2 quarters so why would I use my card for 4 quarters when he could have simply just gave me change? Smh then when I replied I don't want to use my card on that machine I just need 4 quarters he says "I can't give you my change" POOR POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! I already disliked this location for their prices on gasoline but now I definitely won't be returning due to this unnecessary altercation hire better people ! read more

This car wash is awful and as you can see from all the PREVIOUS one star reviews everyone else agrees! The car wash BROKE while I was inside the machine! The machine said to back up which I did 3 times and it still would NOT turn on. Had to get out of my car INSIDE the machine to go inside the store because there were people waiting in line behind me mad because the machine would not turn on. The manager NEVER even apologized just disappeared and then came back and had to fix his broken car wash. He was rude and now has called me unhinged, so I will be sending a letter to the owner of this location to make sure he has read all the horrid yelp reviews. I will also write him a google review too since the manager said I didn't write a thorough enough review. I'm very detailed and he will now see as I don't want to disappoint ! Could you please shut the heck up when I am trying to refuel? Your video pumps are annoying as hell. Every time I pull into your stations I feel like Tom Cruise in "Minority Report" the way your pumps start with their advertising blaring out at 100+ dbm every time a customer try to refuel! Tonight had also thought to give this location another change. Maybe the advertising has stopped since my last visit?". So now after 4 years I give the 3rd avenue station in San Mateo a chance. As I pull in under the covering I see them. The white red and orange ogres waiting with their video screen. My gorge rises and I feel the adrenaline beging to course through my system to a greater degree. As I pass a few of the ogre I notice the screens are moving an not all of them in the same way. Still I have steadied my nerve to try and give them another change. As I stop to refuel at the ogre on the end I I can hear something. But still I hold my mind steady with and iron will. Then I pull our my wallet, insert the card into the ogres mouth. The ogre starts wailing some two dimensional script advertising in my direction. By then my entire demeanor has turned to stone except for one flaming blade of emotion that directs my fist squarely to the center of the video screen. Unfortunately this Shel's ogre pump is tough and continues to send fourth it deafening message falling onto what is the dry landscape of my consciousness. Still, I hold out some hope like a drunkard's spouse there may be some way to stop the soul sucking cacophony issuing forth from the ogre pump. Into Shell's hut I go to talk to the ogres handler. Once inside a question posed to the poor zombie is responded with a total lack of understanding and ability to shut the ogre up. I thank the Shell's zombie and ask where the nearest non-Shell fueling station is located. Fortunately the zombie is able to tell me where another ogre-less station is located. I exit Shells hut and leave the Shell ogre unfed. Shell, No thanks for your wailing ogre fuel pumps. Shell, no thanks for your tainted convenience store items. Shell, you no longer appreciate your customer base and instead view them as marketing mindless marketing targets Shell, not only will you not see my business again in my lifetime, I will also relay my poor customer experience at your sorry stations with the hope of recruiting business to any other fuel supplier out there. May all of your ogre pumps remain unfed from any customer dollars in the future! 76, thank you for the serenity of your quite and calm non-video fueling stations. You may be a little more expensive but 76 is worth it int order to keep from having to raise a mental shield on every visit. Terrible car wash. Went through the car wash and the blowers were working, but they're supposed to rotate up and down to properly dry the car. They were stuck in one place the whole time. The car is full of water and streaks. I went in to the office mart and asked. I was told that sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I asked for another wash to try and get it dried better. Couldn't do that I asked for a refund couldn't do that. I asked for a card for the owner. Was told the only way I can talk to the owner was to come back on Monday. He told me to move the car or else he was gonna have it towed. After pumping up all my tires, I was in the car trying to erase the Tire pressure caution warning from the system when the shell employee ushered me out of the stall. He told me it was for tire pressure only and I told him I know, I just filled all my tires up. Then he pointed at the sign saying I was only allowed to stay 10 mins. Car wash machine would not accept credit cards but there was no sign stating this at the beginning of the line. So I wasted 20 minutes in line for nothing. There wasn't even a notice on the machine soI also wasted several minutes trying multiple credit cards. The help button on the screen did nothing.
