Oh how I love my Shell Station! It helps that it is the view from my apartment, but they only charge $3.99 for a six pack of High Life tall boys and they have Chef Boy 'R D ravioli readily available. The staff look like Ethiopian super models.They don't speak much English, but they still joke around with me and manage to be pretty funny despite the obvious fact that English is not their first language. They also have an impressive little display up front comprised of various energy pills with fantastic graphics on the packets. My fave is "truckers love it" energy pills and if you are late with your Xmas cards, don't despair, there is a card display full of nothing but old holiday cards. read more

This circle k has a bad practice. Circle k is not responsible for lost or stolen items yet customers are asked to put their back packs on a shelf at the front door. Is this practice just for the location on rainier Ave s, or do ALL circle k 's have this in place? I was asked to leave the property if I didn't comply. I someone decided to take my back pack off the shelf then what am I to do since Circle k isn't responsible. The employees were hostel and followed me through the parking lot telling me to get off the property. Just wanted to know if this is a common practice for Circle k as a whole or just at the location at 852 Rainier Ave S. I went to purchase myself alc (I am 21) and the fact my sister was in the store I couldn't buy it. Don't go here.

If I can give this place zero stars I would. The habesha guy that works the graveyard shift is absolutely disrespectful and has the worst customer service. I absolutely dread coming to this shells whenever he's on the clock. I had no choice today 12/29/20 because it was the nearest one and I was super hydrated. As I go up the the door, it's locked and he tells me to come to the window. I do. The moment I come up the window he says "warya sharmuto" which basically means "boy bitch" in my language Somali. Every time I come & he sees I'm East African, he always disrespects me, gives me a hard time and sometimes refuses to serve me although he picks on me first. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not ever eat there hot food like the corn dogs and there condiments. The corn dogs were all soggy because the bags are plastic lined which=condensation and they weren't cooked all the way. Disgusting tasting spit it out right away and threw the other away. Then the mustard after I remove what looked to me a huge krusty mustard scab on the end of their dispenser I tasted it and when I did it about chocked me that's how bad it was. So I go to tell the people inside as just a heads up and they were like so sorry I'll tell manager, but gave me the look like I just shat on there floor. read more

Shell - The outside of the store. - Gas Stations Near Me - Seattle, Washington

The first time I stopped at this station the machine at the pump froze up when I tried to enter the pin for my debit card. The man at the counter told me to use a credit card and it'll work fine, and it did. So this morning I tried my card as a debit card and a credit card and it wouldn't take my pin or my zip code (respectively). It was like the key pad was dead. So I went in and told the man at the counter that it wouldn't take my money. Instead of settling the problem right there (he is standing RIGHT in front of a cash register) he tells me to move my car to another pump. (1) solve my problem, you have the tool right in front of you (2) if you know that pump is down, then put a sign up! This is the ONLY gas station on the route from my home to my new job. I would have bought 90% of my gas from this place, but if their basic functions of commerce (exchanging goods for funds) won't work, then I'm going elsewhere! Good job pissing off a potentially dedicated customer. read more

I live a block away from this shell station and most of the time they are super friendly. But there are two employees that if I see them working there I will turn around and walk right back home forgetting my dreams of snacks and beer. One of the younger male employees is the sleaziest man I have ever encountered. He has held my friends change hostage demanding a telephone number from them and claimed that until he got their number he wouldn't give it to them. Also if you are female and dressed up at all, he stares you up and down and when you get to the counter it is seriously the most uncomfortable flirting I have ever witnessed. Now don't get me wrong, I love to flirt but this guy is just a creep. The only time I'll go in is when the girls are working behind that counter or one of the other young guys, I wish I knew his name because he's cute and funny and super duper nice! They have a great selection snacks for those late night munchie attacks but real food is pretty much nonexhistant, which is to be expected at a shell i guess. Great prices on smokes. read more

Only been to this station once, but the weirdest thing happened. I put in my debit card, pumped 10 dollars worth of gas on the meter, declined the receipt, and left. As I'm driving away, I realize it actually put no gas into the car, and a check later revealed that it also didn't charge my card. Still don't know what happened, machine must have been broken, but I had to stop again! read more

Just came and gave the cashier $40 on pump 4, it only rings up $20 I go back and now the cashier is saying I only gave him $20, very rude, poor communication skills and horrible customer service. I ask for his name, a business a card, a card for a manager all he refused to give me. Looking to follow up with someone tomorrow. read more

I am thirty years old born in the late spring of 1985. I have been enjoying buying alcohol with legal impunity for nearly 10 years now. The old bald man who works for this store during the graveyard shift on Thursday nights, just took my ID ,typed in my birthday, and proceeded to tell me that he will not sell me a goddamn mikes hard lemonade. Granted I should have been buying something better than that, it just mixes with rum nicely. Anyways, I believe he just reverse hate crime'd me, because he told me I was not old enough to buy the drink. 2016-1985=31 He either hates me personally or white people in general, hates alcohol, or typed in the numbers wrong and can't do simple arithmetic. There is a damn sticker saying the legal drinking age and year on the counter. I am now going to stop at this store every night that this guy works and until he either sells me what I would like to purchase, or gets fired from my in store complaint calls, or gets arrested for my hate crime calls to the police. Before that I believe I will post this a few other places, and go talk to the manager tomorrow before anything else. Please if your white make this guy sell you alcohol and get back to me on weather he does or not. I'm trying to figure out why he denied me, he had a rather standoff'ish attitude.... Got gas here expecting free tire air like every other gas station I've been to. Nope, gotta pay $1 for 3 minutes, which is basically enough to do one side of the car, because the hose isn't long enough to reach the other side, especially when you have to struggle against it from hitting the car's bodywork. Should have gone out of my way to get cheaper gas and free air somewhere else! read more

This place is terrible. I can get over the dirtiness, the fact that the car wash may stop working while you're inside and leave your car all soapy, and the soda machine hasn't worked in a year?? (or maybe just every time i try to get a soda it's out of order), but the clerks rudeness is too much. I was in last week and i bought a car wash with my fill-up. The code for the wash is supposed to print out on the bottom of the receipt, but the printer cut it short so i couldn't make out the code. I of course didn't realize this until i had driven over to the car wash. So i backed up, parked the car, and went in to get the code. But the clerk didn't want to give it to me!! He said i had pulled away and someone else had taken the pump i was at so yah. That's it. Heck no that's not it! He did finally give me the code but kept telling me how lucky i was....and i'm pretty sure he just gave me the code for the car wash someone else just bought after me because the receipt time and amount of gas/total bill was different from my receipt. When i asked from my receipt back (because it was the only proof i had that i had paid for the car wash), he threw it at me. What the heck? Rude!!! I stopped into this convenience store after a long walk to buy a bottle of water to quench my thirst and cool off out of the hot sun. I was greeted cordially by a black girl with an African accent. After she wrung up my water on the cash register, there was a monitor that asks to rate her service that I received. I gave her an excellent rating. After I paid for the water, I immediately opened up the water bottle because I was so hot and thirsty and then I began to drink the water. Since I did not want to walk any further to my destination, I opened up the Uber app on my cell phone so I can get picked up by Uber at the Shell convenience store. Suddenly to my surprise, that same black African clerk shouted at me to go outside and that I cannot stay inside the store. I told her that I was just trying to get refreshed and that I was going to get a ride. She said, "I don't care you must go outside and do it!" As I stood there in shock from her belligerent attitude, she was ringing up another customer and when the screen appeared for the service rating I reached over and hit "Poor rating". She then said, "I don't care" "Get out!". I agree that "Black Matters", but the Black female B at the Shell convenience store at 852 Rainier Ave S doesn't! read more
