Sure, you could buy a great mattress online and receive it in two days, and cheaper than this place. But again, you want to buy local. The store itself is fine although the mattresses are not exactly the same as you would find at other places. They have the name brands, but they are a few hundred more dollars more expensive. Again, you want to support local. Great. Here is where it goes wrong. Bought a queen mattress and box spring here and was told it would take about four weeks (Again, online everything would come in 2 days). It would then take a week to arrive after they get it. When it is all finally scheduled and they come to the house, they can't get the box spring up the stairs. So, we change the order and pay a few extra hundred dollars for a split queen box spring. Well guess what - they ordered ONE of the two split queen box springs. Apart from them being an idiot, they are just like OH WELL! "Men, am I right?" That is literally what these two women on the phone said. Its not men, you are just a terrible business. They said it would take 1-2 weeks for the other box spring to come in. We got a call it was in (June 21) but guess what.... they can't deliver it until JULY 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just dead at this point. It will have been over 2 months since this thing was ordered. I do not blame them that they couldn't get the box spring up the stairs, but it was THEIR ERROR that only ordered a SINGLE SPLIT BOX SPRING and then will take weeks to bring it over. I am just beside myself. I don't even have the box spring yet. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been a few months since I was last there due to Covid but ventured out the day after Christmas. The front room looked as it always does, a little on the messy side and racks of clothing. I've never purchased clothes here as I find them to be dated or have condition issues but do always check them out. On this day I did find a nice blazer for $4.50 in good condition. My favorite room has always been the back. Now I'll be honest, it's a complete mess back there but does have some organization. They are definitely restricted due to lack of space. It's back there that I usually find the best deals and always thought their pricing was better than fair. This trip however it was worse for wears and looked like a hoarders paradise. Prices were 10xs over what they were in the past. Some of the used items were priced higher than I could have bought new. I overheard some other customers vocalizing what I was thinking about the price increases and how dirty the space felt so I know it's not just me. I didn't stay long as it's very cramped and hard to social distance or keep from bumping into something. They do have glasswear on display so you have to be extra careful. After some digging I was able to find a pair of Spiderman curtains for $4 in very good condition. I took that as my cue to leave. Overall the space felt very dirty this time and had a weird smell. I couldn't wait to go outside and drench myself in sanitizer. I'll still stop by if I'm passing through in hopes they get back to the way they once were.

I was fortunate to connect immediately over the phone with Interior Designer Laurie Foster, who not only answered my initial questions (delivery to my far-away town? Yes. Do they carry Bassett furniture? Yes.) but also asked me for some detail about what I was looking for. This was on a Friday afternoon, and thanks to a quick email exchange after our phone call, Laurie had prepared to meet me by the time I had arrived at the store the next morning. She has made print-outs of the rug in my living room that I wanted to be in conversation with our new sofa and chairs. She helped by showing me potential fabrics, leathers, sizes, and placement of furniture, and much more. Laurie is a terrific listener, with an artist's eye and mind. She is absolutely a gift to everyone who shops at David's Interiors, and I recommend both her and the store itself to anyone searching for high-quality sofas and chairs.
