The people working there are very helpful and nice. I encourage you to check out your local shelter before going to a breeder. The kill rate in this shelter is over 70% and they have such great animals here who need a second chance! Empty water dishes and I saw almost 6 cats in one cage. I saw some kitty's sleeping in their liter box, that is NOT normal. It's so sad and devastating. I really wish I could take them all home. I feel like these animals deserve better care. I've meet lovely animals here. They all deserve good homes. Please please please check your local humane society before going to a breeder.

The staff stayed open on a Saturday after hours as my daughter watched 3 puppies try to win her heart. Finally as 2 pups walked away & the 3rd laid down she made 1more call for them to come. Sgt. Pepper got up & came over. He had chosen her! They gave us all kinds or help in preparing us in taking the dog back to our cottage. Told us where to go to get food & a collar, since we really were not prepared for a puppy. They went over & above the call that day to place a dog in a good home.
