The entire staff, and both dentists are wonderful. I've had my teeth cleaned by most of the hygienists, and they are all knowledgeable and caring. I've had work done by both dentists, and can say the same thing for them. I mostly see Dr. Avirett - and he is extremely awesome! He's very nice and takes his time with you. You can tell he really cares about his patients. He also has a magical way of limiting the pain you feel during procedures - both during and after. I highly recommend this practice! read more

Excellent all the way around. When I broke a tooth, they got me in as a new patient within the hour and gave me a temporary fix until they could get me in for full repair. In the meantime, another part of my tooth broke and again they got me in within the hour. The office staff was very transparent with pricing. They even managed to work out my appointments with the insurance to knock about $400 off of my out of pocket. When I went in for repair, the doc was able to do the repair without some of the work he initially thought would be necessary, saving me even more money out of pocket. I've had my fair share of dental work, and I know that Shemen Dental is one of the best dental practices around. The front office staff is always friendly and helpful. I've had experience with several hygienists, and both dentists, and they are all wonderful. I usually see Dr. Avirett, who is very kind and professional - you can truly tell that he cares about his patients. He also takes his time during procedures, which I appreciate - you can hardly feel anything! You can tell that the the employees really care about the patients and they do everything they can to make you comfortable - from offering drinks in the lobby to offering blankets & pillows and ipods with bose headphones in the dental chair.
