We called the vet who faxed the proof over & on the paper was ANIMAL WELFARE LEAGUE name so again we should keep records but they don't keep records where their $ goes. Then more questions after she had the proof .! Jump through hoops more or less .Should have more bonding time with the older cats in the big colonies & separate alone time in a room. Not with 8 other cats.cant get a cats attention during feeding time & a bunch of other cats running all around.. they don't tell u about a wellness check needed within a month & they will call the vet to make sure we took him .The cat we adopted just had a wellness in April she saud but needed one by end of June, once a,year which was not a,year at all but that was another 70$ the vet looks at him ,listens to his heart & sees if hes well .Animal league could so that there. Multiple posts associated with the rescue (and the person running it) show a pattern of hostility and contempt toward the very people reaching out for help. While I understand that rescue burnout is real, the tone here crosses into unprofessional and aggressive. What's more concerning is that there appear to be screenshots circulating online that show contact-form submissions being posted with peoples' contact info visible, seemingly to mock or shame them. This amounts to a serious breach of trust and basic privacy standards. The animals deserve support, but the public-facing behavior here is a major red flag.

Long story, well, long story - we adopted two animals they fostered at the local Pet Smart. Both of these animals were amazingly sweet and very kind. Bringing them to our home with the other animals we approached introductions very slowly and were conscientious. One of the animals was returned due to them deserving a better life than hiding behind a washing machine and refusing to come out. We did this in that animals best interest (returning them). The second remained with us for another 6 months where the other animals were of similar age except a new, younger animal that it got along with. No matter what, there were constant fights, and continuous marking requiring carpets, walls, doors, beds, and many other things to need constant scrubbing. Stuffed animals, toys, clothing, and furniture had to be thrown away. No matter what we did, there was no fixing this behavior. For a 2 year old, fixed animal - this should not be an issue. We returned this animal as well because we were tired of spending money, throwing things away, the fighting... the house smelling disgusting! Now, checking their Facebook page we find that not only are they allowing us to be bashed with their chiming in, they continue to FALSELY report the situation. We feel bad for the next family to adopt these animals without this knowledge. Now, we have been blocked within 2 minutes of posting a reply stating the truth. Someone needs to know about this and their unprofessionalism.

The application asked questions about our employment, housing, any fences, how we would give the dog exercise and other necessary things, our current pets and their veterinarian records, any experience that we have with this dog breed, if we have ever given up any past pet, etcetera. I spent time to write many thoughtful paragraphs of text. Two days later, the Foster Farm contacted me and said that they wanted me to adopt Olive, pending my answer about an invisible fence (which they do NOT allow). (I read other Yelpers' 1-star reviews about filling out applications and never hearing back. The Foster Farm is run by volunteers who have jobs or are in school, so they are low on time, but they should get back to you.) On that same day, they approved my application for Olive, and they scheduled my husband's and my first meet-and-greet/adoption with Olive for a few days later at our request to fit our schedule. In the meantime, the Foster Farm answered our questions via email about what size of collar and carrier to buy, what type of food to buy, etc., so we could shop in advance. They also emailed me photos of Olive. The adoption fee was $325, which was supposed to include vaccinations (DAPP and rabies), a microchip, deworming, and a future spay. Payment options were PayPal, Venmo, or a check. On December 22, a Foster Farm employee drove out to our house with Olive. She wore a face mask as a COVID-19 precaution. She allowed us to spend time with Olive on our couch, and she spent time to answer our questions before she left. I am deducting one star from my review, because the Foster Farm gave us *NO MEDICAL RECORDS.* I asked for medical records multiple times, particularly for the vaccines, and they said that they did not have them. The Foster Farm had told me that they would pay for a clinic to do Olive's rabies vaccine, which was included in the adoption fee, but the clinic for some reason did not do the rabies vaccine. With ZERO medical records for Olive other than for the spaying, I paid my veterinarian to do ALL vaccinations from scratch. The clinic did scan a microchip and give me the number at my request. In addition, the Foster Farm had told me that they had dewormed Olive, but when I took Olive to my veterinarian for a fecal test, the test came back positive for intestinal parasites, and I paid my vet to deworm Olive. Maybe the Foster Farm had dewormed the dog, but she contracted parasites again from other dogs in different foster homes or when she was adopted by another family? Olive is a very nervous dog who needs to be housetrained, but she has a very sweet personality, and she gets along with our cats (yay!). I think that the Foster Farm placed her into the right home, and their fee of $325 for a bulldog was very reasonable. For those reasons, I will award 4 stars. But I do recommend that the Foster Farm pass along vaccination records.

We took our dog for a grooming appointment in October. When we picked him up, the first thing the…read moregroomer said was that everything had gone fine and that there were no problems. We brought him home and he was acting strange. He was extremely withdrawn and when we tried to pet him and our hands got near the back of his neck, he would yelp. We parted his fur trying to see if we could find anything. At that time there was nothing visible, or maybe we were not looking in quite the right spot. I called the grooming department and asked for the young man who had groomed him. I wanted to let him know how our dog was behaving and ask him again if he was sure that nothing had gone wrong. I was told that he was gone for the day. About a week or so later, we were petting him and felt a rough area around the back of his neck. We parted his fur and found black scabbing and as we parted his fur more to get a better look, his fur started falling out in that area. The area also appeared to have some yellow coloring. We took him to our vet who shaved the area. I told her about his behavior immediately following his last grooming visit and asked what could have caused it. She couldn't say for certain but thought that it could have been caused by either a burn or cut. She also said that the wound would result in that area of skin coming off. I now went back to the store with pictures of the injury and asked to speak with the manager. I explained that I wasn't seeking any kind of compensation, but wanted to explain the circumstances and make him aware that there was a strong possibility that our dog had been injured during a grooming session there. He was polite and asked me for information such as who the groomer was and what date was my dog's appointment and if I had asked for any special products to be used on my dog that had never been used before. I gave him the information and also stated that to my knowledge, no new products were used. I also let him know that my dog had been to the vet and what they had said. He said he would follow up with the groomer. There was no follow up call made to me to let me know if he was able to figure out what had happened. It has now been six weeks since my dog's appointment and the scabbed skin finally came off revealing another scab underneath, so he is still recovering. I rarely leave reviews and debated about leaving this one. I cannot irrefutably prove that our dog was injured during his grooming session. I only know that his behavior was completely normal when we dropped him off and was extremely abnormal after we picked him up. Then, shortly thereafter, an injury became visible. He was not left anywhere else without us present during that entire timeframe. He is an older dog so he is not super active and wouldn't have hurt himself playing. Again, I cannot prove he was injured during grooming but at the very least, the circumstances are, in my opinion, suspect which is why I finally decided to write this review and share my experience.

This past week I went to pick up supplies for my bird and the animals were absolutely neglected. Bird cages were filthy with waste everywhere and fish tanks were covered in algae so much so that you could not see in them. I am assuming this is from the short staff but , animals are being neglected there. The three employees in the store were all unprofessionally talking about other staff. Someone needs to step in and help the animals who can't help themselves.
