Middle of the road. Cheap deals on the food but you get what you pay for. Came in with a buddy after work for their appies but found it lacking consistency. Some of the food arrived fresh like the dry ribes while others like the spin dip tortilla chips were stale, loaded potatoe skins and irish nachos sat too long and had lost their crunch/cooled (cheese started to congeal). Good priced specials but mediocre service (did not refill drinks) and food quality. Ok if you live in the area but not worth the trip otherwise. read more

Neighbourhood sports bar that has been totally renovated. Open inside but still cozy. Grab a booth by the window in summer. TVs, foosball, darts, pool tables. A couple of VLTs. Oriental Waitress/bartender didn't know how much a pint of beer was . I asked for specials and she said there were none during the day on Sunday. But people next to me bought half price wine. We had a great time here while we ate before a movie. The patio had just the right mix of sun and shade. We had the burger pizza with ground beef, onions Ext. You know burger stuff on a pizza. I have been going to Shenanigans since it was "Clareview Pub'. It always feels like home away from home. The staff are the main reason why I continue to come back. Unfortunately, this isnt a positive review. I want to bring to the attention of the current cook that is there. He introduced himself to me as "Dominic". He continues to pesture the female patrons. Wether it be, stepping inside peraonal space, staring. It's often and is in a sexual tone. I've also witnessed him dispaly unprofessional and rude behaviour to the staff there. I really wish they'd replace him so everyone was comfortable. Just the way it always was. read more

This place has changed names and looks many times over the last 20 years. I remember when it was called The Edge and I was too young to get in, but it was where my older brothers used to drink the night away. It was called Clareview Pub when I used to dance my ass off there every weekend for about a year straight. The last time I had been there, a few years ago maybe, it was called something else, and had a completely new look to it. Now, it's Shenanigan's Pub, located on Victoria Trail on the northside of Edmonton. It has a nice pub feel, and the waitress behind the bar was welcoming. My brother and I had a few drinks on a Thursday night, which happened to be trivia night. We sat next to a warm fire place that overlooked the entire pub. The centralized bar allows for customers to sit themselves down at a stool on all sides, and there are pool tables, darts and VLTs to keep you from getting bored. There's even a dedicated outdoors space for smokers. I used to love coming to this place when it was a nightclub, and now it looks like I can enjoy it all over again, this time as an inexpensive and casual pub 'n' grill. I Heart Edmonton read more

This was my second time in since it was the old Chrome. Today we went for breakfast. It was fantastic. We both had the steak and eggs. Both steaks were sirloin and cooked perfectly. The eggs were fresh and delicious. This is definitely my new breakfast place. At $7.00 this was a super breakfast. Oh ya, the coffee and the service was terrific. I'm liking this place a lot and the neighbourhood needed a truly different corner pub. read more

Nice little pub. You can tell it is frequented by regulars. It was noon on a Saturday and all the pool tables were full, the bar stools had people at them and the patrons and servers knew each others names. If you are looking for a pub in this area I think this would work for you. Now I'm not a pub guy. I came for one reason and one alone: the steak and eggs special ($7). I don't drink so I had a pop ($2) instead. For the price meal was good. The eggs were as ordered. The steak was just about right. The hashbrowns were nothing to write home about and the toast was thick Texas cut. About what I expected, perhaps a little underwhelmed by the hashbrowns. The servers were nice but service overall was slow. Perhaps more the kitchen than the servers. Not sure. By the time I got there everyone that was there had been served. I came in, sat and waited. I ordered my pop and waited. I got the pop and waited even though I was ready and my menu was clearly closed. She left before I could order. By this time a group of three came in and sat nearby. I assumed she would take my order and theirs on the next pass through. Nope. She took theirs first then came back later to get mine. Then I read and waited. Later when I looked up from what I was reading I noticed the table of three had their food already. Yes their order went in just before mine but I ordered the daily special! It shouldn't have taken that long. It was well over an hour, almost an hour and a half before I felt. I got up and paid at the bar. I didn't wait around for the cheque. read more

I get what they tried to do here by transforming the old Chrome lounge, but it's almost the same. I often wonder how this place is still open because every time we go its empty. Decided to try This place for the oiler game special $ 10 for a pint and steak with fries!! Wow can't beat that deal , if it were TRUE . I called before going asked when deal was on ! Anytime was the answer! But on arrival server said no not until 8 pm! So we have an hour to wait , can I have my beer now , answer only at regular price! Looks like a shell game to me one person leads you in another does the old switcheroo ! I see lots of deals at the bars in Edmonton , but rarely do they actually work out! Love the place. But dislike that their specials are always wrong and not updated. Wild wing wed is supposed to be $14 jug canadian and 1lb wings at 35 cent... or both for 17....and its 20 dollers a jug and 49 cent a wing. Which is not a special compared too other places. read more

I've been here a few times now as I have friends who live in the neighbourhood and I will often meet them here for a beer after work. To be truthful, the establishment has always been enjoyable and the service is excellent. However, recently my opinion has changed. Every single time I'm here with my friends, there's a staff member who will come and hover around wherever we're sitting. I think he works in the kitchen? At first it was just "hey, how's the food?" Then it became more consistent and for longer periods of time. He started interjecting himself into our conversations and even touching one of the girls on her back or shoulder. One of my friends was extremely uncomfortable as he kept ogling her. At this point, it's incredibly invasive. We don't seem to be the only table that experiences this either. I just feel that this is excessive and we always try to be pleasant but I feel like choosing another establishment now because he literally won't leave us alone. He's offered to drive girls home and just seems to have crossed a line here. I'm saddened by this because we do enjoy the place, but we also don't want to cause a scene by having to harshly tell a staff member to back off. We communicated this to the server who was helping our table just so she was aware of how we were feeling. Thank you to all the ladies who always give excellent service, that is a huge plus here! Creeps are everywhere but when it's someone who works for the venue it's a little bit more challenging. read more

First time ever going here and the service was good fast and friendly we had hamburgers that were fresh and tasty same with the salad wich was all fresh cut nothing from a bag the fries and gravy again were great quality personally I wish there had been no seasoning salt on it. First time at this pub & grill tonight, and no complaints. We were in on a Thursday, enjoyed 3 different app's (1/2 price on app's on Thursday's) , a highball, and a 20 oz beer for about $25 I enjoyed the different specials they had every day of the week and intend on making it in to try them all. I've been to all the local places around the north-end and i was a little hesitant to go into this place at first because previous places that had been here did not have a very good reputation. I have to say I was very surprised, it is very nice and bright inside and has interesting, quirky decor. I've since been here about half a dozen times and the service has been fast and friendly everytime. I was most impressed by the prices of the food, they have very good specials and the pizzas are great. Overall great experiences here so far. read more

My boyfriend and I frequent this pub :-) We love it! They have Pool, Foosball, Buck Hunter, and Darts. It's nice to have all those choices in one location. Especially if you just want to hang out and drink. We have always had great service from this establishment. The servers are always very friendly. And the food is top notch pub food. We especially love their wings on Wednesday and the breakfast that they serve on the weekends. They have a $7 steak and eggs on weekends and it is phenomenal! I wasn't expecting much for the price but damn was I wrong. The hashbrowns were fantastic(like something you would cook at home) and the steak was perfection. I like to eat my steak rare and most places have always overcooked it (especially when you're only paying $7 for it). Not at Shenanigans they cooked my steak perfectly. Whoever they have in the kitchen does an amazing job! I have taken many of my friends here just because I love it so much. So now I'm suggesting it to the yelp community. read more

This place sucks they had on their website that there was no reservations or cover charge for the UFC fights tonight yet when we got there the where reserved signs all over the place and they wouldn't let us have one of the reserved tables because their was only three of us we were regular visitors to this pub but not anymore since they got new wait staff this place has gone down hill we will never be back again read more

The steak and egg weekend special -- served up between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. -- is a great deal. It's worth checking out Shenanigans for that alone.
