Decided to stop here for a late night, burger, cheese, curds, and a few other goodies. The burger itself was absolutely delicious! Extremely moist. We also had an order of green beans that were coated in a delicious crunchy breading and deep-fried. And their french fries were super crisp which we loved! And we really loved the service. The young lady who took her order I believe her name was Sarah?? She explained everything to us what came on our burger. And even though we arrived at 8:50 PM and they closed at nine we did not feel rushed at all. From start to finish everything was delicious. We will definitely be returning. read more

Food was absolutely delicious. I had to perch sandwich and fries. It reminded me of good old times when perch sandwiches were made right I can't wait till I can go back. Wow this place is great! Awesome food, comfortable and old-fashioned atmosphere, and cheap prices. Paid a few bucks for a root beer float and it took me all day to finish. Would go every day if I could. My only complaint is the time it takes to get food. Not terribly long, but long enough to be annoying. read more

Passing through Berlin and wanted a local place to eat. Ordered a burger, fish sandwich, onion rings, and a raspberry milkshake, and everything was delicious. I'm glad that we found this fun little spot, and we'd definitely come back next time we're passing through! read more

We live in Wautoma and I just recently discovered this place on a recent trip to Walmart. I LOVE their breaded pork loin sandwich!!! The shakes are very good and there are many flavors to choose from. The chili cheese fries look awesome and I look forward to trying them. Classic old fashioned small town non-franchise walk-up drive-in. The current owners are two of the nicest people you could meet. The hometown tradition is their mission statement. If you can't find something on their all-American traditional menu then I don't know what. Traditional Wisconsin brat, fried cheese curds and burritos. What else could you ask for?! Let me tell you! Try the Up-slit a unique take on the banana split. Looking for a fish fry and it is not Friday, find the perch sandwich right in the middle of the menu. And yes you can have a bucket of BROASTED chicken too. Need something new? Double scallops! Can't get that at DQ. And the even have deep fried pickle spears! This place is local. All beef is 100% Wisconsin beef. And where on this planet can you purchase a sirloin steak sandwich for $3.65? (Period) Several picnic tables are available for those that wish to eat it, but most line up at the left window, place an order and receive their orders a short time later on the right window. This place really knows how to make a burger! It had been recommended by a friend while we were in town and did not disappoint! I see why they have such a good reputation and we'd so much rather go to a local place than some food chain. We also tried the fries, milk shake, fried pickles and hot dog! The quality of food has really gone down over the past year. They fry all of their sides in the same oil, leaving cheese curds tasting like onion rings, which is down right gross. Putting their fried chicken in the styrofoam container fresh out of the fryer leaving the chicken to melt the container and stick to the food. They have great ice cream, but their food is less to be desired. read more

This is a nice place to go to get some soft serve ice cream and good afternoon snack. You will find the locals waiting in line at this place. Certainly, worth the wait. My favorite treat is their Reese's peanut butter storm. They also have a variety of other foods. I just stick to the sweets. read more

We discovered this local place a few years ago while working in the area. We really enjoy the food selection and available ice cream choices! We've tried a multitude of items from burgers to the pizza burger to ham and cheese, fries, curds, fried pickles, poppers etc and never been disappointed! The ice cream is always good! The ordering/pickup area is a little awkward when they are busy but not a reason to stay away. They do have a small enclosed eat-in area as well as a few tables outside in the shade. Not that I'd recommend fried foods everyday...but it's perfect summer drive-in food, great quality and good prices! A definite keeper for the Berlin area! read more

The soft serve is the best around, the fried chicken is delicious and we even have a regular meal there now...you can't go wrong with the Bacon Cheeseburger with the side of Potato Salad and Fried Green Beans (with special sauce). Shepard's Drive-In is a local favorite. If you are in the Berlin area in the summer months you need to stop by and enjoy a snack. If you want to actually have a burger or a bigger meal be sure to call in the order. They will give you a ball park time to pick it up and you won't have to wait so outside. They have soft serve ice cream. Ice cream comes in three flavors vanilla, chocolate, or twist (half chocolate, half vanilla).
