Not the Marriott experience that I was anticipating nor deserved. Issues: 1) 1 check in associate in early evening? Resulting in a 20-minute wait with me being the second person in line 2) Nobody onsite actually managing the pools '10pm-11pm adults only policy' that is has posted. Yeah, this was a joke. 3) Front desk lacking basic customer service skills. Lacking in effort to assist more than the status quo. Certainly not Marriott standard. Liked: 1) Hotel was clean 2) Housekeeping was exceptional and provided more than status quo service. Thank you for everything you do! 3) Overnight front desk ladies were pleasant and inviting. Overall, this property looks great on paper. When viewing from Marriott.com, it stands out. However, it does not do a good job of making sure all guests feel valued. It focuses on Higher tier members, and the rest do not matter as much. This hotel comes at a premium and is very outdated in room (especially shower/tub combo). This hotel was planned to be my go-to hotel, as I visit the area once every 2 months. That is unlikely at this point. I would recommend checking out the Civic Hotel nearby instead. From the time of check in until the check out - everything was pretty smooth at this hotel. The front desk was welcoming and recognized the status and also had asked about car parking if needed. Also the views from the rooms that are towards the mountains are amazing.. especially during sunset and sunrise. The hotel is right by guildford mall which is very walkable (2-3 mins) And also there is a tim hortons and a gas station right across the hotel which was very convenient. read more

Stayed here for a getaway for 2. It was extremely clean and the front dest reps were super friendly. They even made sure they gave us extra water bottles to stay "hydrated hydrated." You are given a key card that you have to tap on the elevator to get to the club floor (If you are apart of the club of course). The club floor we were on was 19th. The views were amazing when the weather permitted it. We had views of some of the mountains and overlooked the area we were staying in. The rooms were the right size and spacious. The bathroom was very good and stocked with all your usual essentials. The showers was one of my favorite things about the room. It was extremely large and two different faucet types in the shower. Not to mention a cool little sitting area where you could put your towels and sit if wanted/needed. The water never reached (Not even sure if that is what it's used for haha) The bed was a King size bed and very comfortable. My only one complaint was the pillows were way to fluffy. It was hard to get a good pillow to rest your head on without being swallowed by the pillow. The hotel itself offered free breakfast passes for the duration of our time there. The lady was extremely nice and never stressed under the amount of people who lined up to get food (Covid reasons the restaurant was closed). You went in and it was like a cafeteria type feel were you were behind the plastic and she would ask between two things what you would like. There was a selection of juices, cereal boxes, fruit cups and yogurt. Then you would have a choice between 1 of the main items. They were usually omelettes, french toast, sausage (Chorizo was an option one day) and then you had coffee/tea options n top of ordering some type of pastry if wanted. The spinach croissant was my favorite. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to when I do. You should give this place a try if you need a hotel that is extremely friendly and great rooms. read more

Nice hotel in what felt like a safe location. It was a short distance from a Walmart and shopping center with a good amount of food spots, which was convenient. I appreciated that we were provided with two bottles of water in the room. You need your card key to get to your floor via the elevator. Parking is $15 + tax per night. I received chemical burns from the hot tub. I didn't require hospitalization, but skin did fall off. For example, it hurt to walk bc I lost so much skin on my feet. You can fill in the blanks for how the other parts of my body felt. I have a hot tub and often use hot tubs at hotels. I have never had an experience like this. The hotel must have put in hundreds or thousands of times the appropriate amount of chemical for this to happen. The hotel's response showed they don't care about customer safety. I was offered a 20% off the normal price coupon. Is that fair? Would you agree to chemical burns for a coupon? read more

I had to come here for a specific work event that was being held in the hotel and my stay turned out to be ok. The staff were wonderful and my check-in was both quick and efficient. They were able to hold on to my luggage after I had checked out which I did appreciate. The room itself was both clean and spacious. I prefer a cooler room and I was able to adjust the temperature with ease. While I enjoyed the pillows at first, I quickly found them to be a little too fluffy and eventually uncomfortable. The 'complementary' water is only for exclusive Sheraton/Marriott members to enjoy. There were other drinks in the fridge​ but they come at a cost as well. I don't often stay at Sheratons so I'm not sure if this is across the board but I found it odd there were no toiletries​ readily available. Instead,​ there is a menu of everything available and you need to request anything you would need/like from the check-in counter. The breakfast buffet was standard and enjoyable in the morning, but a little overpriced ($24 CAD). The staff again were great and attentive. Just a heads up it's quite far from Vancouver​ if you are planning on going there, and it's not close to the Skytrain line unfortunately so you do have to take a bus to get to Surrey Centre. read more

After reading some of the not-so-flattering reviews of this Sheraton, a was a bit hesitant about my stay, but was very pleasantly surprised. Granted, my experience is limited to a room on one of the "Preferred Guest" floors, so it's possible that those rooms are a bit nicer. I had a nice view of the city lights from my room on the 16th floor. There were big windows and the room was very spacious. There was a sofa with table, desk, console for the television, a king bed and bedside tables and there was still plenty of room to wander around. The room was recently renovated in soothing colors and was spotless upon my arrival. The beds are comfortable, but I could do without the feather pillows. Yeah, I freakin' hate feather pillows. I just can't get comfy with a feather pillow. I had room service on the first night of my stay for dinner and the last day for breakfast and it was quite fast and reasonably tasty. The price wasn't too ridiculous for room service. Staff at check-in and check-out were pleasant and helpful. I do wish there was a Starbucks or other to-go coffee shop, but the only coffee is the coffee in the restaurant or the coffee machine in the room. I would definitely stay here again if in Surrey. read more

Really far from Vancouver however it was close to the venue I needed to be at, so it wasn't bad. The room itself was very good but I was close to the ice machine and elevator so it was noisy at times. That said the room was very pleasant. The executive lounge area is pretty standard. The gym is nothing special, but clean. Where I really liked this hotel however was the staff. I've been to a lot of hotels and this hotel was definitely above average for hospitality and efficiency. He staff was very welcoming and made me feel like I was comfortable. This is particularly important to me because I often look like a gym rat Asian kid with unkempt facial hair. Sometimes when I walk into the lounge I get a double take. Other than that, most things are 24hrs, there's parking and a pool/spa. They gave me a later check out because I was feeling sick and there's parking. Totally unrelated, there's no uber here in Vancouver so plan for cabs. About what I expect from a Sheraton... It was extremely outdated (like 40 years to be exact) but a comfortable stay none the less. The rooms lacked some newer amenities like USB outlets or stylish furniture. However, they were comfortable enough, and the beds were excellent. Internet was a pain, as it took forever to get it to work on the Mac, and only after being on the phone with a Sheraton technician for 20 minutes. Breakfast was a decent buffet, and not too pricey at about $15 USD. However, it was disappointing that parking wasn't free so outside the actual city of Vancouver. The staff were very nice though. We forgot a few valuable is our room, and they were happy to help us find them and keep them until we were ready to come back in the evening to pick them up. When it comes to nice hotels in Surrey, there aren't a lot of choices. I'm normally a Marriott guy, but this SPG property did fine by me. The location is good, just across the street from the Chevy dealership, and a block's walk to the Guildford Town Centre mall. Gym was okay, machines and weights were in pretty decent condition, but not a whole lot of selection. It said key card was required to access the gym, but I found it unlocked both times I went. Rooms felt slightly dated, but were clean and well-kept. No issues with the plumbing or hot water. The only minor issue I had was that the key card takes several tries to access the room. I thought it was just me suffering from acute retarditis, but I conversed with other guests sharing similar experiences. Wi-fi is free unless you opt for "premium" speeds. Restaurant (Fresh) is okay for breakfast. I didn't try it for dinner, but the bar certainly did the job for me. Nice selection on draft. Service was very good. Lots of Chinese staff asking me how my stay was. read more

The stock photos are great and the view from top of Surrey to the mountains is quite nice and...that's about it. I needed to stay somewhere near the Delta for work and was looking for a better than the usual hotel. Thought the Sheraton would be the place. First of all, it was a loooooong way away...Google Maps needs to do better relating travel distances...like..."if you book here, it's a looooong way..." or something like that. The stock photos are of pretty, clean, well lit rooms with great views. Mine was dark, dated, and overlooked the car dealership and the 7-Eleven. The pool and hot tub was out of commission - for the past two weeks and counting, and there was no apologies for it. A small sign posted on check in was all the info you are going to get. Check in was a bit lengthy. A Super Duper SPG Preferred person was in front of me and he wanted the whole welcome routine. Plus he wanted the super premium internet codes - cause he's super and we're not. After the lengthy wait, another Super Duper SPG guy arrived and walked right next to me. The problem here is there was only one person at the counter and she was now put into a quandary...do I take the SPG preferred dude or me. Don't get me wrong, I have one of those cards too but don't flick it around like some others. After check in, I went to the elevator and looked at the card folder...no room number. I almost felt like going on a treasure hunt and try my key on every room on the floor I think she told me I was on. That would have been fun. The beds were comfortable like all Sheratons. The overpriced water was stationed nicely next to a wing back chair. Don't know who has enough time to relax and read a book or something but still nice to have one. The deal breaker here...the shower. The other Sheraton's I stayed at had enough water pressure to get you nice and scrubby clean and make sure your hair isn't a soapy mess. Can't speak for the rooms but good place to use the public washroom if you're in a jam b/c no front desk/concierge looking, as they're on the far right, and washrooms on the left by the conference rooms ;) parking isn't available in front as it's paid or for guests, so best to use the side streets. Do enjoy its center lounge seating. restaurant/bar in the back. Location-wise for a tourist, you'll need a car as this part of town isn't shopping/walking friendly but a nice entry/exit to main highway. and the safer part of Surrey too. read more

Across from the car dealership, this Sheraton is in close proximity from shopping centers and has heated underground parking. If you have a tall vehicle, be sure to review the height limitation... We saw an SUV got stuck with the roof rack. Clean, modern with luxurious feel, this hotel was busy with some night life action at the top of hotel. I made the mistake of booking this hotel in a suburban area of Surrey when I was traveling back/forth to Richmond (Asian area) and Vancouver. It's about 30-45 minute commute since there are literally only two major freeways/highways (two lanes at most? 99 and 91). There are many El Camino Real like type of (ECR) large main roads with stop lights. The essentials before booking: It's near a big mall area (The Bay, Sears, Central City and a T&T (Chinese grocery shopping center off of 88th I think). There is a Pho Hoa near by and a Hannam Grocery store. $9 underground parking with IN/OUT privileges. Room was spacious. A bit old esp the bathroom. + Empty Fridge with microwave access in the room. Free Canadian Newspaper and WSJ everyday. Free computer terminal and free wifi in the lobby $52/night which was steal for a Sheraton. read more

Nice to place to stay if you are in town for a wedding event in surrey or Delta. We had spg status plus spg amex card so had access to club level Lounge 24 hours a day where it had drinks, coffee, snacks always available. Also they would serve a nice breakfast and a evening happy hour every day all for free:). 17th floor rooms had nice views but make sure you request mountain side as the other side of the hotel faces the mall. The mall is across the street if you forgot something or need to eat a quick chipotle meal ;). Employees here were super friendly. We had rental car and had parking in garage each day which made it super convenient because the elevator went straight into lobby so you didn't have to walk outside in the cold. Very comfortable beds, very clean bathroom and room. Nice place to stay!! read more

It's a decent spot to stay, especially in the city of Surrey. If you've stayed in Vancouver, Surrey is nothing like Vancouver. Anyway, in Surrey for a work trip and decided on Sheraton, partly because of their advertised (and what they charge you for) Club Lounge access. They advertise exclusivity of Club Lounge access if you pay the price... then once you check in, they offer a decent breakfast (buffet and to-go), and for dinner time -- 2 tiny appetizers (two per ROOM, not person) from the Lobby restaurant. Now, like everyone else, they use COVID and staffing shortages for the fact they charge you more for "Club Lounge," access, when in actuality, there is NO club lounge access (as of 12 Sep 2022). "IF" it's because of COVID/ staff shortages... I would think the owner or manager would increase the amount of food per room to more than TWO TINY APPETIZERS; once again, because they are CHARGING you for Club Lounge access. In my opinion, this is fraud; deceptive at best. The full breakfast is comparable to club lounge access because you're not still hungry. But from 10am-5pm there is no "Club Lounge" equivalent, and once 5pm rolls around, you get two tiny appetizers per room. My guess is they're charging higher prices for the rooms for this non-existent, exclusive access... then once you get here, they give you the tiny appetizers so you'll binge and spend money for dinner. We've stayed in 5-start hotels, so we know what unlimited Club Lounge access is... this is NOT it. They either need to change their advertisement/ description to free breakfast; or actually have a better mid-day and dinner options more equivalent to Club Lounge access. Great stay at a great reputable hotel. Got greeted with a smile, easy check in. Used the restroom in the lobby, very clean I must say. Proceeded to the 19th floor, I had requested a quiet room and I got one. Very nice, modern looking, comfy bed, amazing view. Service at the bar was awesome, forgot the bartender's name, she was awesome and did not hesitate to recommend some desserts to go with our espresso. Club breakfast was served between 7 and 11 am. I'm not an early riser so that was perfect. The menu was humble but everything was good and everybody was eating with an appetite. Very welcoming. Didn't order any room service. Housekeeping did a great job. Check out was a breeze as well, very friendly staff! Looking forward for my next stay, at a Sheraton, anywhere. read more

I was excited to go there again because of how good it was. Unfortunately it is not quite as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, the food was still quite good, and the service was great, but gone are some of the favs that used to be there including the crab legs and the chocolate fountain. In a hotel far far away... This is the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel in Surrey, BC. It is 45 minutes driving from Richmond and 45 minutes from Vancouver. Except for the distance, this is a pretty legit hotel -- comfortable and clean beds and pillows, large spacious rooms, basic cable TV, and well-furnished (desks and sofas). The only downfalls? No free WIFI and $9/night parking. read more

If you need to be out in Surrey, this is a decent hotel in the Guildford area. Large shopping complex a few minutes away. I've been here a few times over the last few years and no issues with the rooms or service. Downside is the $10 charge/day for internet access. If you're here for a meeting, there are a few options for rooms ranging from the ballroom to smaller rooms that can hold about 65 people each. Food service is basic, nothing special but it's edible - your usual assortment of fruits, pastries, soups, sandwiches, etc... throughout the day. Valet parking is a rip-off here at $17/day (Note to hotel - when I can valet for less in downtown Vancouver, you really need to drop your valet price!), so I'd suggest self parking. Or if you're brave and want to park for free, there's free parking on 152 St or on the streets behind the hotel if you don't mind leaving your car outside! read more

I'll give this hotel experience an easy 5 stars. It's cozy, the rooms are super clean, the views not too shabby, and the beds super comfortable. It's a tad bit far from the actual city of Vancouver, but we had a rental car, so it wasn't terrible to make the 30 minute trip. Mall across the street from here, which gave us the opportunity to kill some time. Lobby is clean, garage is easy to access, and the staff were very kind. Both my coworkers ordered room service and ended up tipping 30-40% because nowhere on the in-room menu does it mention that gratuity is already included (it only mentions the extra $3 room charge). It does state it on the receipt they give you to sign at the end, but it's easy to overlook especially considering they have a separate gratuity line at the bottom. Watch out for that. Did not actually stay in the hotel but I was a vendor here for a 3-day convention this last weekend so this review essentially covers everything but the rooms. The hotel is well maintained, as I would expect out of any Sheraton. Washrooms are clean and well-stocked and the hotel staff are fantastic. The area that we used (Guildford Ballroom) was bright and open and setup perfectly for the event. Load-in was easy as there's a set of doors that go directly from the parking lot into the ballroom. I was a little annoyed at paying $9/day for parking considering this is Surrey but all in all, it's a very good venue. read more

I very, very rarely venture into Surrey, (From Vancouver to Surrey...kill me now!) but today was one of the few times I had to be out there for an event which was being held at the Sheraton. As a warning, if you are coming here, make sure you are driving. I made the mistake of catching the skytrain to King George and a taxi ride while appearing to only be 5 kilometers on google maps ended up costing me $16.50. From the outside, this hotel has a pretty moderate appearance for Surrey. Inside, it is pretty clean and has a very simple layout which makes it pretty easy to figure out where the ballroom is. I briefly ventured over to check out the bar menu/drinks and it seemed there weren't a whole lot of options, although it could be quite good. Not great, not horrible but somewhere in between. This pretty much sums up Surrey too, so it is just what it is...blah. read more

When you rent a room, I believe the price should match the Location. Now, if we are going off location, this place should be priced around $65-70 a night vs. $125 they charge. It's not in the best location, honestly. I guess due to it being right off of Hwy 1, the price should be higher, but it's not located in the best part of Surrey. The rooms and service is great. Parking is $9 a day. It's close to Guildford Mall. But I still don't think it should be priced so high, just my opinion... read more

Lobby under renovation, nothing mentioned about it on the website. Air conditioning is a joke here. Prepare to sweat all night with the ac cranked to lowest actual temp of 78. NOTHING to eat around this hotel besides sketchy hole in the wall places. Only reason I gave even 2 stars is the maid from Costa Rica was super great and went out of her way to help me with a few things. We've booked banquet rooms for meetings here on multiple occasions and found it a great value. They have small and large banquet rooms depending on your needs with multiple options for food service, if you package rooms with the banquet reserve you can get a great deal and save some $$. They recently did some exterior renovations. The rooms are nice but nothing extravagant. It's only 30 minutes from abbotsford airport which I love to use when making short flights (walk right in and through security, with no line ups). But it is a bit of a pain if your coming from YVR. It's right of the #1 highway so it's not difficult to get downtown but not where I'd stay if I were coming as a tourist. read more

Stayed two nights. I got the room really cheap via hotwire.com. Hotel itself was okay. Room seemed to be little out-dated but overall it served its purpose. It had little gift shop, small dining place, and usual business center on 1st floor. The problem I had with the hotel (the reason for the two star) was that they still charged for Internet connection. To be fair, hotel did provide "free" but really slow wireless connection. But it was very slow (download speed of less than 0.50mb per second). Paid version (9.99/day) of connection was supposed to be "faster" but I did not try it. We live in 21st century where we now expect free (and reasonable speed) connection from any hotels. Update the network infrastructure or expect to lose customers. read more

We have had nothing but wonderful service! Everyone is so friendly and has gone out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They remember our kids names and are just 100% of the time courteous, welcoming and smiling. We have eaten the breakfast buffet and room service many times and although the menu is not huge the food is delicious, every single time. We cannot say enough about this place with a warm outdoor pool and Guildford Town Center with movie theatre right across the street this a perfect spot to stay especially if you don't have a vehicle. Check-in was quick, simple and fast. Right away, I was offered late check-out. I got great views of the mountain ranges on 16th floor. My room was clean and had an awesome king comfortable bed. Cleaning services were good and they are environmentally green; They practically recycle everything. I think that's awesome. It was nice to have the pool and jacuzzi on the 2nd floor. read more

If you are in search of a hotel outside of Vancouver then this hotel might fit your accommodations. The hotel lobby is quite normal looking at first as you have your usual club lounge and gift shop, Starbucks and hangout area. The room we stayed in was quite nice and had a view of surrey and downtown Vancouver... But, when we booked through SPG using our star points program for 2 nights, as gold members, we soon found out that we were not able to access the club lounge in search for a free continental breakfast! Seems like SPG took away a nice amenity from the gold members here in Canada as we have been able to do this before in the past in the U.S. Too bad we've spent boatloads of money into this program and we don't get a free continental breakfast in Canada. Oh and the wifi is pretty slow too, you'd expect fast wifi from a high quality place. Should have stayed at the Best Western. :/ read more

We were there today for a light lunch. We ordered the tomato bisque which was very very good! We also ordered a pizza to share which had prosciutto, & roasted tomatoes and it was very good! Even if you are a titanium member at this property you will be treated as cheap motel guest. The staff was incredibly rude, management unresponsive, tells elite members benefit were unable. The entire experience was subpar and do not expect elite member experience. Sheraton after the merger was been overall bad but this property has been particularly bad. Out all of the Sheraton I have stayed at in the world this has been the worst. Even when we tipped the staff, we were told there too busy to help. The bag handler just left our bags left in the middle of helping us. The manage responded days later with no satisfactory response. More of a motel experience than a Sheraton read more
