Bakerview Bed & Breakfast in Langley. I knew once I drove in that I was going to have a comforting experience, but you really never know what to expect. I was truly blown away by the blossoms in every corner, so many gorgeous flowers sprouting all over the property, Pat and her husband were so very welcoming, they were there upon arrival to show me to my room, and ask what time I was hoping for breakfast, which was super exciting! I had the Sunset Room, the bedroom was very large with a Queen bed, wide open window to hear the birds upon arrival and lots of little comforts to make you feel at home. There were fresh towels, lots of big pillows, a cute dresser, reading lamp, big screen tv, comfy chair, and even big cozy robes to use! The connected bathroom had a large shower and a range of bathroom essentials in case you forgot yours. The west facing view from the bedroom was stunning, especially at sunset and sunrise, I made sure to be up early to gaze out my window and enjoy the sights and sounds. Breakfast time was lovely. Pat and her husband greeted me with a delicious smelling kitchen, I was offered coffee and juice to start my morning on the right foot. Breakfast included a yummy breakfast croissant, fresh fruit, a fancy yogurt parfait and an assortment of muffins. We enjoyed light conversation over breakfast with a beautiful view of the landscape, and we even got to see a Pileated woodpecker on the bird feeder which I've never seen before, so exciting! I would definitely suggest Mt. Bakerview B&B if your planning a visit to the Fraser Valley. The location is close enough to the city and far enough away to get the peace and quiet of the countryside. They have a massive sitting area in the backyard and a cozy seating area on the front porch, with perfect views of the sunrise and Mount Baker of course.

We were not sure if our daughter would be with us so the option to have extra sleeping space was important. David could not have been a more gracious host. From his greeting when we arrived to the home-cooked breakfasts, which were not only delicious but generous in portion size. We liked how he left the menu choices with us the night before so that we knew what to expect in the morning. I am curious as to how he got the omelet I had crispy on the outside - it was so good! In the unit there were snacks and sodas. There was also tourist information about the general area. We really enjoyed our time there but there are a couple of items that bear mention as less than ideal. First, we found the king bed to be a little soft for our liking. The TV is old and could stand to be replaced. I had the volumn all the way up and could barely hear it. Also it should be noted that there are many stairs to get to the unit. While it is mentioned on their website, it isn't mentioned on hotels.com which is who we booked through. We really enjoyed our time here and would return. Our rating is more like a 4.5 but that is not an option!

Amenities are excellent, and for me, I was very happy with the selection of vintage VHS tapes, and we watched two of them! There are some newer DVD's and I'm not sure about the previous review, as there is plenty of volume! Loved the assorted goodies and sweets that were available, and breakfast was superb, especially the quiche! We would happily return again. A jewel as far as B&B's go, and quite a bargain for everything you receive.

The view (we were in the Seaside Suite) was spectacular the first day. The second day a storm came in, which was nearly as interesting to watch. Our hostess Sarah was excellent--knew just when to make inquiries and when to offer us privacy. She even mailed home our (clean) laundry that we left behind! Breakfast was excellent and tailored to our wishes. There is also a very friendly cat, which we loved. Beds were comfortable. We've traveled around the world and this is one of our favorite spots for the money. Highly recommended!

I did find out however the night before I departed there was a random old blood stain on the sheets that looked like it had been there for at least a year. If I had seen that my first day I would have contacted the front desk. Like I said basics but the cleanliness could probably be stepped up a little in the rooms and sheets.
