The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Our room was easy to find, but the parking lot is TIGHT. Be cautious if you have a larger vehicle. One thing that really irritated me - they advertise as pet friendly, and when I called to book, I specified that we needed a pet friendly room and was happy to pay the pet fee. When we arrived, we found that all the grass on the property had been ripped out - maybe they're updating it or something, I don't know. but they really should mention that. It was a real pain finding somewhere for my dog to do it's business - our options were a) in the parking lot or b) in the dirt. I just wish they had mentioned that there was no green space available. Oddly enough, the BEST part of our stay doesn't even exist according to their website. In the FAQs for the hotel it says that there is NOT a pool onsite, but there is. It is an outdoor heated pool and it was INCREDIBLE. The water was so warm, it was really lovely to float around in for a bit before bed.

Prices are very reasonable, the property is very well maintained, attractive, and clean, and all staff members we encountered were over the top, friendly and helpful. There are several places within walking distance to eat, such as a Starbucks, a white spot, a little coffee place right next-door, as well as a burger restaurant attached to the hotel. There are also cute little puns written in various places around the hotel that made me laugh.

Throughout several emails, I was able to solidify my plans for my stay and be provided with an incredible rate. On arrival, we were greeted warmly and it was smooth sailing at registration. They have a certain number of rooms assigned for those who travel with their pets and want them to stay in their rooms (a major bonus). There is a lot of parking available. The rooms were very clean and well appointed (I couldn't get enough of the Keurig machine and the staff kept it full of a variety of flavor pods for our use). There are restaurants within walking distance and the amenities to keep you fit, healthy and your clothes clean. I found the hotel pleasantly quiet (I can't say that about a lot of hotels). It was a relaxing stay and now that I'm settled in my own place, I will return to the Best Western Peace Arch Inn whenever I want a staycation at a reasonably priced establishment.

You can also get a free pass for a yoga class! The yoga studio is two stores down and seems so fun. I would have scheduled a massage here as it was super reasonably priced for 60 or 90 minutes, but the last booking was nabbed by the time I made up my mind. Also, free bike check out if you happen to be here during nicer weather. Too cold for us. In the room you'll find quality bath amenities, free snacks and drinks, coffee maker, water kettle, teas, and a decent sized fridge. The bathroom had ample towels and nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers (simple human). There was a hair dryer (not the best) and a lighted makeup mirror. If you've forgotten something (toothbrush/paste, razor, etc) they have some convenient supplies at their front desk per the in-room info folder. The only thing you'll want to note is that our sink/mirror was outside of the shower/bathroom if that matters to you or your roomate. Very clean and appreciate that pets are not allowed here. I've never stayed on a property where you are escorted to your room upon checking in and are offered an introduction to all of the details. There are small luxuries everywhere you look. Upscale toiletries and fixtures, the smoothest sheets I've ever slept on, complimentary snack basket in your room. In addition the downtown is charming and immaculate. Flowers overflowing from hanging baskets and decorative pots, Avenue Bread right off the hotel lobby (IYKYK) and cute locally owned shops. Put this inn on your bucket list!

The shower pressure was very weak, the worst I've experienced. The room temperature did not exceed 20ish Celsius. There was only one lamp for us. The fixture for the AC installment was just a piece of painted plywood. I would definitely come back. The location and neighborhood is great. It has everything one could need such as grocery store, movies, skytrain, restaurants, and other places to go. We got lucky with parking during the weekend. It's free from after 8pm to 12pm. But if we had to spend a weekday there, I wouldn't know where to park.
