He said, after he was done with the job, "The quality of the paint was really nice! Easy to work with and vibrant." Yep, we prefer quality paint for our house! Yes prices are a bit more than the orange or blue home improvement stores but there is a reason that they have several stores carrying just their brand and they've withstood the test of time. It's been tough choosing quality products in this economy. Believe me, I almost folded. But seeing it in our home, the feel, and knowing it's one of the best, is priceless to us.

Foothill (Upland) Paint Bucket for over 30 years. I've been a competent DIY painter for decades. I learned how to do faux finishes directly from the staff at the Upland store. They guided me to Benjamin Moore paints, the proper tools and techniques to achieve a Mediterranean colorwashed look, using glaze over paint. I've colorwashed most of my (two-story, 3-bdrm) home, updating twice. I'm currently remodeling two bathrooms. I went to the Ontario store with my contractor, Alyssa (Kitchen Medic), knowing EXACTLY the look and colors I wanted. Tad steered us to Benjamin Moore Aura paint; since I'm doing bathrooms, I agreed. He also advised us to use a MATTE finish, and to tint the glaze using the same color as the base wall color (Starry Night Blue). I wanted a very deep, mysterious look, like a Moroccan spa. I'm using Moroccan zellige tiles and wanted the painted walls in a similar color. My painter used a tinted primer and two coats of matte paint. He then glazed one wall, following Tad's directions precisely (we mixed paint to glaze in a 1:4 ratio, crosshatching it on). After 24 hours, there was absolutely NO trace of the glaze. NONE! The wall had "swallowed" it! Simple research on the internet (and speaking with experienced painters) advised NEVER glaze over matte finish, for precisely the reason we saw: it absorbs the glaze. Furthermore, glazing with the same color as the base coat (which I admit went against my instincts; I'd never done that before, but assumed that Tad was an expert) is NOT advised, since it provides little to no contrast. Alyssa returned to the Paint Bucket to speak with Tad and...the results weren't pretty. Tad did not admit that he'd given us poor advice, causing us to lose days of drying time and effort, not to mention the expense of buying Ben Moore most expensive paint in the WRONG finish. When Alyssa reminded him that we'd shown him photos and explained in detail the look and finish we wanted, he simply shrugged. He didn't offer to rectify his error in any way, offering to refund what I'd paid, or cover the cost of the replacement paint and clear coat primer I need to use to "save" my bathroom without having to start over from scratch. No apology obviously --not even an acknowledgement. To have this poor level of customer service from a family-owned business that I've used for decades, and upon whose expertise and KINDNESS I've ALWAYS been able to count, was infuriating and disappointing. BUYER BEWARE of the manager in the Ontario Paint Bucket store.

Warranty Experience with Chef's Toys and Mulberry Technology…read moreInitial Purchase and Expectations In 2023, we invested a total of $26,472.61, which included taxes and two warranty insurance plans, for a 3-door KINTORA refrigerator and a 2-door KINTORA freezer. Our initial experience was smooth and hassle-free, largely thanks to our salesperson, Estaban Aguirre. Unfortunately, we later discovered that Estaban was no longer with the company. The Issue Arises On March 6, 2026, the hinge of our 3-door KINTORA refrigerator broke, rendering the refrigerator unusable. Since we had purchased a warranty, we immediately reached out to Estaban for assistance, only to learn from Raul Flores that Estaban was no longer employed with Chef's Toys. Raul provided us with contact information for Mulberry Technology, who was supposed to handle our warranty claims. Challenges with the Warranty Process This marked the beginning of a frustrating ordeal. It quickly became apparent that Chef's Toys was not well-acquainted with Mulberry Technology. Raul initially gave us an incorrect contact number for starting our claim. He directed us to Joshua Wohl at Mulberry, who, while not involved in claims processing, was helpful enough to connect us with the appropriate department--after we had already experienced several unhelpful responses from Raul. After sending our purchase order to Karime, our contact at Mulberry, we learned that Chef's Toys had never registered our protection plan with Mulberry or transferred the necessary funds for our warranty. We attempted to follow up with Raul but received no response until we escalated our concerns to Chef's Toys' corporate office. Unfortunately, reaching out to their main line at 714-662-2433 during business hours of M-F between 9am-5pm only led to a voicemail, and our emails through their website also went unanswered. This is TERRIBLE! Resolution and Lingering Frustrations Eventually, Raul from Chef's Toys responded and offered a courtesy repair for our refrigerator door but informed us that our remaining warranty coverage would not be honored. This was frustrating, as we had already paid for the warranty. During this period, on March 25, the Health Department visited and deducted points from our inspection due to the non-functional equipment. We promptly notified Raul about the urgency, as another inspection was scheduled for April 6. Fortunately, the Health Department accepted our communication with Raul and a photo of the completed repair as proof. The entire process--from the breakdown on March 6 to the repair on April 6--took a full month. This delay was disappointing, especially given that waiting for a part should not have justified such a lengthy timeline; someone could have delivered the part to expedite the repair.

I needed infusion epoxy.. some guy named AJ recommended some in house mix of polyester resin and styrene and said it was the same.. totally wasn't. I wasted $600 worth of materials because even after only catalyzing at 1% the resin started curing in less than 15 minutes. Completely ruined my infusion. I called them (not even asking for a refund) just to let them know what went down and how unsatisfied I was and AJ started giving me attitude. Naturally, I was already pissed and after AJ basically just saying "shit happens" I hung up. Fast forward a few days (to today)-- my deadline for this project is approaching-- I place another order with them so that I can get the stuff I need and try again with epoxy I picked up on line. It was a $500 order and I get a call from AJ saying he cancelled my order and his reason was "because I hung up on him like a child". Verbatim... that was his response. Now not only do I have to find materials to meet my deadline by tomorrow.. BUT now the bank is holding my $500 while the refund is processing. And that's IF they even processed the refund because I never got a confirmation or anything. So unprofessional. REPLY TO COMMENT: you're rooting for me? Are you kidding me?! You screwed me over because I hurt your feelings and that's your response? And you didn't even address my refund. Your customer service is a joke. The first time I went in to pick up my order I sat there and waited for over 2 hours because you guys had to unload your delivery truck before helping me. I was cool with it. I didn't even mind. But this... this is uncalled for. Yeah-- I was pissed off when I called. The resin you recommended REALLY sucked and ruined $600 worth of materials. But I didn't even ask for a refund. But your belittling attitude definitely didn't help AJ. So I hung up the phone. I was pissed off at you for your crappy attitude but I still wanted to give your company my business. Then you pull this crap cancelling my order because I was "childish" and hung up on you? Did I really hurt your feelings that bad? Jesus. You're the one acting like a damn child. It's basically a lumber yard for plastics, it's overwhelmingly interesting. I came here because I need to replace a window pane I accidentally broke refinishing a backdoor. My options were replace it with glass or use acrylic/plexiglass. I did my own research and decided to visit Industrial Plastic Supply to get a more in depth understanding of the materials. I showed up, parking was easy and the staff were more than helpful. Now this is why the review is so detailed: I went into the back where the materials are and I was greeted by Jeff. He asked me what I needed and I explained my situation. He helped me with showing me different thicknesses of plexiglass. And then I commenced with my questions about the material. How it performs with heat, if there's expansion based on temp change, durability, glass vs plexi, can it withstand uv rays for a prolonged period of time...yada yada. He welcomed every question, not once did I ever feel like I was getting brushed off with a mundane answer. He took the time to help me understand the material and he also told me "glass might be cheaper, I know a guy over at *****glass shop who can get you prices". So he offered me a solution that wasn't profitable to him or the business he represents. I asked a few more questions, he went and grabbed another piece of plexiglass. Told me I could take it, a scrap piece but it was enough for me to be able to take it home and visualize/check to see if it was something I was happy with over glass. A handful of days pass and I made up my mind. I went back to Industrial Plastic Supply, went into the back, was greeted and I asked if Jeff was in. Waited a few and he comes out, say our hellos and I asked him if there were any more scrap pieces that could be used for the size of the window panes I was going to replace (all 4 since). I showed him the piece he gave me, he asked me the size I needed and walked to the back. I waited a few minutes. Jeff comes walking back, material in hand. Hands it to me, all the pieces have been cut and that was that. Mind you all I asked was if there any other scrap pieces that I could purchase, with the intention of cutting them at home. He went through the trouble to have his guys find the pieces that would work, had them cut out to size and nonchalantly walked them over to me like it wasn't a big deal. This is customer service at its finest. He helped educate me on the product, he showed empathy for my screw up and he selflessly did a massive solid for me. These are the types of people and businesses we need to support and keep around. I would highly recommend going here for any and every plexiglass need you might have. They sell blocks, sheets, rod, transparent, opaque and just tons of plastic product it's pretty damn amazing as far materials options go. Jeff is a wonderful human being and I hope anyone that goes there, experiences what I did.

When the pain kept getting worse, I finally inspected the chair more closely and saw the gas cylinder didn't look like what should be on a genuine Knoll product. The gas cylinder clearly has a made by KGS Co., Ltd. marking on it. So I called the store to confirm whether the chair I bought was actually authentic and not Frankenstein'd, the sales person who sold me the chair, answered the phone and Instead of actually addressing my concerns, he acted like I was imagining things and insisted that it's a Knoll chair because it says so on the back. He then proceeded by saying that they don't take returns on used items as they're sold as-is, but will check with his manager. He called me a few minutes later stating that they would make an exception for me and take it back for a store credit only with a 20% restocking fee. In other words, they won't stand behind what they sold, but they will charge me to hand it back to them. I asked for the manager to call me, and - a shocker - no one ever did. Zero follow-up. Zero accountability. If you care about product, authenticity, being taken seriously as a customer, are getting basic professionalism, look somewhere else. This was a complete waste of time and money.

We called Christian Boehr in May 2020, explained the break and asked if the chair could be repaired or replaced. He asked us to send a photo of the chair and the break, which we did. We called, texted and emailed and never heard back. We were surprised to be "ghosted".

My parents are visiting, and we live in a one-bedroom apartment, so having a comfortable sleeping solution was extremely important. The built-in mattress is surprisingly comfortable, and my parents have slept on it for several nights and have been very happy with it. Overall, great value, excellent service, and quality furniture. They were easy to work with and extremely quick turnaround time...we even went out to their shop to inspect it before we committed to having them refinish our desk. Their shop was spotless and they had a number of items to inspect and that is what sealed the deal for us is that their shop was spotless and very nice things they were working on. They also came and picked up the desk and delivered it back here as well... this was a risk for us because we had reached out to a handful of companies a couple years ago and looked at their work online and was just not happy with their work. If you are in the market for having some furniture refinished, we strongly recommend Heredia Antiques.
