I'd been over to the big box stores day before and everyone who knew anything was "on lunch for another 20 minutes". Was immediately greeted by a lovely mustachioed man named Martin (thank you again, Martin!). He walked me through what I needed to do and guided me around the various aisles picking up parts. You could feel the difference in the confidence and expertise of the employees here (this is the first small hardware store I've been to for projects)- they're professional, hardware nerds! Martin even had that goofy sense of humor so not only was the trip very efficient, it was quite fun.
