The shop was clean and the gentleman working there were friendly. The waiting area was also nice and clean. I usually go to another testing location that is actually cheaper but their "Star" testing machine/certification would not be available until February. The test there would have been about $50 cash with the coupon after the $8.25 certification fee. I had to get a Star test though and this shop was the next closest one I could find where I could use a coupon. Despite the coupon, the total was $60 for a midsize SUV. I guess it was considered a heavy vehicle. Not sure what the difference is when it comes to the actual testing as they did the standard walk around/look under the hood check, the tailpipe check, etc. read more

Need Smog? Got 20mins and $40...then go see Shant! He is awesome, and honest. Car spots can sometimes feel shady, but not here. Yelped Smog places near me, and found Shants shop "Sherman Smog" as well as a coupon for $31.75 (+$8.15 for certificate). So glad I found him. Right off Sherman Way, the 1st garage opening in a strip of auto repair shops. Pull in the driveway, and a quick left into Shermam Smogs bay. He hooks up your car while you wait in the little waiting room. Nothing fancy, honestly could use a tad of TLC, but I mainly stood in the doorway and had great conversations with Shant while he worked. Did a full car inspection and Smog, and was in and out in not even 20 mons, he was so quick, but thorough. Before I even paid my $40 my certificate was on its way to the DMV. If you already paid your registration fees, your tags will get to you within 7-10 days after he sends your certificate. Also, if you FAIL, $20 RETEST within 30 days. This is a Smog test only, so no repairs are done here. Just a quick and easy testing spot to get you back on the road. Thanks so much for making it so easy. read more

So happy to 5 stars it. Drove to it at 10 AM. Nobody else came for smog check. I drove right inside (he will do that for you since it can be dangerous if a car parked across from the entrance). It cost $50 to get the car inspected here. But it is ok since it is something you do once in a very long time. Very pleasant owner.
