It was a $10 stick which was aged in a bourbon barrel of a local company. It was unique tasting (it was a bit difficult to stay lit) but overall a nice smoke. They have free pool tables, a bunch of leather chairs and an outside area with a few benches facing together around two tables. We were asked to spend $25 to use the lounge. We were also told we could bring in alcohol or food. We walked 3 minutes down the road for some lovely tapas and ate outside. The neighborhood had some artsy people. My boyfriend wouldn't let me walk by myself to the restaurant and I was grateful for that. This neighborhood has graffiti but is in view of brand new, huge apartment buildings. There were people of every color in this venue and on the street and it was a fun experience.

But, on the occasions that I do, the hardest part is going. Well, the staff are helpful and friendly. You don't have to have the last three issues of Cigar Aficionado memorized to talk to them. You can give them a basic idea of what you want, or tell them you have absolutely no idea what you want. They will still help you out. What really impressed me about the person that helped me was that he listened to me and switched his recommendation to a cheaper cigar. So, it was more important that I would be happy with what I had purchased. Well, that just makes me motivated to buy the few cigars I'll enjoy from there. That changed when a buddy I haven't seen in a while invited me to this neighborhood meetup spot and everything about it was great. The vibes are immaculate; big, comfy leather couches everywhere, pool tables, a basement lounge, nice bathroom, water/soda available, and a walk-in humidor. It looks like what one might visualize when picturing a classy cigar lounge. We pulled up a spot with some of the other gents lounging about which adds to the whole communal element of this. The cigar I had was good, apologies I can't remember anything about it other than it kinda knocked me on my ass and I had to take a shower when I got home at the request of my kids who were like, "Whoa, Daddy STINKS!" Their selection is on par with any of the better cigar lounges (of which this one qualifies) and their offerings vary a little bit, which is another reason why it's good to shake things up once in a while. The service is friendly and The lady who helped us make our selections was quite knowledgeable and very personable. The ambience is very chill and the place is very welcoming. They have beverages available and also rent out humidor compartments for those of us that like to keep our sticks at our favorite place. When we arrived their was ample free parking located in the same lot as the lounge. I was a bit taken back because there was no security or host to greet us as we walked in. The lounge was a nice size without being too big or too small. Our section was located directly to the left as we walked in. The band was onstage giving an awe inspiring performance and the crowd was mature. I could already tell that this place is for grown folks and I was drawn in immediately. As we took our seats a server (or what I assumed was our server) came over and bought us some spirits inspired desserts. Our party continued to grow. When the band took a break I learned that we did not have bottle service or a waitress and had to place our orders at the bar. I was disappointed that even with a section we had to walk to the bar to order drinks. The drinks were good but overpriced. All in all I was happy to support a Black Owned Business while visiting Kansas City. The owner was nice and went onstage to congratulate our "Bride" and Thank us for being present. The bathrooms were clean and the night was amazing. Our bride had the most fun to say the least and we were given a standing ovation as we left the lounge. I would definitely recommend this spot if you live or frequent the Kansas City area.
