Keith was at the counter and greeted me upon everything. He was very helpful to give me all the possible options of interior paint. He didn't shy away from asking his coworker for a second opinion on their interior/exterior paint. I respect that. I left my paint order and returned an hour later. My paint was ready AND appears to be a perfect match! Although nobody was at the counter to greet me upon entering, Sean came up after a few seconds. He was nice and professional. Porter Paint has a reputation for high quality among painting contractors, but perhaps at a higher price than some of the other brands sold at the big box home improvement stores. I was pleasantly surprised to find that while the price was just slightly higher than other brands, the ease of application and coverage more than makes up for the difference. Like just about everything else, you get what you pay for. I'm not a professional painter, but have spread a lot of paint on a lot of walls in my lifetime, and I'm now a huge Porter Paint fan. We then had the owner/designer Carole H. come out to our property on July 14, 2025. We wanted an estimate on draperies and new furnishings for our living room and entry way. She spent time measuring the rooms and having a discussion with us. I gave her access to my Pinterest board to show her the looks that we liked and had an interest in exploring. We were completely prepared to spend a significant amount of money to have our living room and entryway redone and have custom draperies for the living room and the master bedroom. Carole shared when she came out on that Tuesday that she would be leaving for vacation on Friday. She stated that it would be 3 to 4 weeks before she would be able to get anything back to us. We were completely fine with that as we told her we were not in a hurry and 3 to 4 weeks would be fine. Jump ahead over seven weeks now, almost 8, and we have been completely ghosted. There has not been a single phone call, email, or text from Carole back to us with any status update on the project. This lack of engagement is completely unprofessional, and we are extremely upset and angry with the lack of professionalism. If this job was not something that she felt she could do perform or had the time to do, then a simple phone call, text or email saying that she was not able to do the job is all that we expect. Not every design is for everybody and if life interrupts and you are unable to do the job, I completely understand that. There is a level of communication that needs to occur when you run a business and there is a level of professionalism that is expected. We will happily take our money elsewhere!!!
