I wish I could give this place lower than a 1 star. The staff in not knowledgeable, reliable and their staff if you are a woman please stay clear because based on their misogynist behavior I will never come back or recommend anyone here. But essentially they sold me the wrong product, told me the company who I'm working with is not someone they affiliate with and didn't show any compassion. We came in looking for gloss for the bathroom, the employee kept insisting we needed to get flat paint. We explained we were painting a bathroom and it didn't make sense that he kept insisting flat instead of gloss. When we came back to who we were working with they said we needed gloss and not flat paint. We were frustrated because we initially wanted gloss but the employee at SW sold us flat paint. The company we worked with to redo our bathroom also said we could mention their name and get a discount. We came back to SW and explained how the flat paint would not work and the mentioned the company name to get a discount. The response we got was "oh we are not affiliated with this company" followed by exaggerated stares and "looking around" to see if any other of the other employees knew that company. When he started to ring us up he said oh do you want to use (company name) for your purchase. And we were confused because he just went off about how he didn't know that company and they were not affiliated. No one was compassionate or apologized for the mix up. We spent over our budget and got paint we didn't need. The employees are terrible and will never recommend this place. read more

I came here to obviously get some paint. This was a Saturday and they didn't have my paint in stock, however they said that it would come in on Tuesday and they would give me a call. Paint my wagon and let the painting party begin! I miss that home town feel of walking into a store, and knowing the staff, and them knowing me. The larger home repair, fix-it upper stores dont offer that level of customer service. This Sherwin-Williams does! I so like this store. Its a smaller store nestled in a conglomerate of industrial buildings etc., but they cater to the public. Because they are smaller, that dont carry a zillion different types of supplies, but carry the basics for whatever painting project you might be doing. They do have a ton of paint chip swatches, and you can take as many as you need to go play " what color do i want this wall to be" This is my go to for almost anything paint related. They have been able to match custom colors that I have painted with, and no longer have the info on. Okay, I should have kept that empty can for a reason! I have purchased paint from anything from fence paint touch-up, to full room re-do's. Customer service occasionally is spotty, but again, its a small store, and consequently, they have limited staff working. I love that I can either go in, or call, and place my order for the paint that I need. The paint is quality paint, and I have never been disappointed. What's even cooler than cool?! Get on their mailing list, and you can often save money since they email out great deals. The last one was 30% off paint. Yes, 30% off. You wont find THAT anywhere else that I know of. Matt and Garrett were extremely helpful in answering my questions about residential paint. Even though the mainly deal with contractors and big builds, they made me feel just as special as a residential customer. I would highly recommend! Not reliable. Don't expect them to be open when promised. I called at lunch time to confirm their hours. They said they close at 7pm. I said I would be by after work. Stopped by at 5:45 after work and lights are out and the door is locked. Tried to call. No answer. Me and another customer hung out to dry. Today was also the last day of the 40% off sale. Needed a can of paint. They say open until 7 on their website and yelp and on their door and everywhere. It's 6:15 and their sign is off. The dude sees me pull up and literally ducks behind the counter. I walk up to the door. Locked. Hours are until 7pm. I had talked to three different salesmen three different times and they all talked to me like an idiot to where I had no intention on going there. Unfortunately our builder used paint from them that we have to keep buying paint from them. It seems that all the workers there are unhappy. They're very rude! It seems like customers should feel better buying paint here than at Home Depot, for one thing Sherwin Williams paint is more pricey but I would rather go somewhere where I get treated like a human being than an animal!!! read more

Good service. But staff are not wearing masks as they interact with customers. Since governor mandated masks for employees interacting with the public. Went in to store today. Sacramento county on high Covid alert. Great sign on door staff wearing masks. But three customers refusing to wear mask. I was told not to worry. We are either going to work together to control the COVID-19 or just let it continue to explode. I will shop where staff at least ask customers to mask. It takes corporate leadership and individual initiative to bring about change. Those of us at risk with age and preexisting conditions need to be selective and shop where the spirit supports concern for all Americans. Much disappointed. read more

I haven't even been physically to the store and I am extremely satisfied with the customer service care I received over the phone. I told Angel that I was calling to get an estimate on paint to recover paint at a town home that I renting at one of the properties they service. He checked what paint it was through the system, gave me an estimate through the HOA which will save me money, AND will have it ready for me tomorrow morning! His personality was very cheerful and was really helpful with the amount of information and care he provided. I hung up and ended the call with a smile on my face and all my questions answered. Was in town to assist family in a project; no pressure sales, awesome recommendations. Very resourceful staff and not too busy during the afternoon. I feel that even non-business consumers can roll in and feel comfortable with purchasing from this local store. Came in to try and find the perfect grey. It is a harder task than expected. Miles, the sales professional, was so knowledgable and helpful with the colors. He picked out a color (Summit Grey) and told me we could adjust the percentage to make it lighter. He mixed upa batch and put it on a color swatch for me. The color is exactly what I wanted. I have no doubt that if I wasn't satisfied on the first try that he would have kept trying until we found a color I loved. Thank you Miles!! read more

I went in there to get some paint some guy with dreads was being very friendly with me trying to help me out the best way he can. Then his manager strolled in and was very mean to him when he was trying to help me. The manager said "he is 1 of my drivers he is not supposed to be helping anyone", which was understandable to me but after the guy with the dreads left I got treated horrible by his manager his name was Marchan, I remember because I wanted to get his name because he was extremely rude to me and his employee. He had an attitude with me the whole time and made me feel unwelcome. Visiting this store was an unpleasant experience and I never want to go back. read more

Went in to get touch-up paint and was treated terribly! The man "helping" me spoke to me like I was an idiot (sorry I'm not a painter for a living!) and he seemed irritated with me right off the bat for no good reason. I was baffled as to why he was being so difficult and I finally had enough of his rude attitude and left with out getting the paint I had intended to get. read more

I went to Sherwin Williams looking for touch up paint. I only knew the name of the development and not the builder. The proprietor was very helpful with suggesting possibilities and gave me chips for comparison. When I returned to buy the paint, I had to wait awhile and the man gave me the small container of paint for free! He was very kind and I highly recommend it! read more
