I half to say the last few months. The store has gone down hill. Always like 1 or 2 people working with a full store. It's crazy how long half to wait for a gallon of paint. The service has really gone down hill. At least they are stocked with supplies. And the paint prices have gone way up.. I just wish the service was like it used to be 15 min for some paint not 45 to an hr. Just way too long. Always seems to just be the one girl working. The manager is never to be seen. I've used this Sherwin Williams for various projects. It's conveniently located to my house. Parking is easy. The staff is friendly and welcoming. My recent purchase was for paint for two side gates and a metal panel in the back. The associate advised me that I needed a primer for that, which I didn't know....so, was grateful for the information. read more

This was our first experience with the East Sac location and it won't be our last! The employees were helpful and fast. They did a great job of explaining the different types of paints and gave some good insight on which type to use for our project. It turned out that they were running a sale on the exact paint we needed, so the deal was totally sweetened by a much lower cost than we anticipated. We planned to splurge a little to get the exact color we wanted and ended up paying about what we would have had a big box store. We'll be back for future paint needs! read more

Pretty nice and clean store. By main gripe is I bought these peel and stick things you can like stick in your wall without having to actually paint it to see how it looks. It was less helpful then I expected, so I wanted to return a completely unused few that I didn't use. But for absolutely no reason I can't return or exchange them one day after buying. We required paint that would complement our home to complete a new gate project. Unfortunately, the previous owner opted for Kelly-Moore paint. Not only has KM exited California, but our past experiences with them were quite negative. In 2018, we selected Sherwin-Williams paints for our home remodel in San Francisco and were very pleased with their service. It's nice to see Sherwin Williams is still doing a great job of bringing a personalized, neighborhood experience to the world of paint. I have so often passed this store up in favor of some place like Home Depot. Each time I do, I regret not coming here as the offerings and service are so much better. I had just replaced my front door lock and, of course, it created some areas where the paint now needed to be filled in for consistency. I brought in a small sample and they were able to paint match. The guy who helped me, also named Alex, knew his stuff and was very quick and attentive. While I waited briefly for them to mix me up some paint, I wandered the store and admired their selection of quality brand goods. This isn't the cheapest option, but it isn't much more expensive and the quality and attention to your project is light years better than you'll get elsewhere. I'm deeply disappointed at the store that's located at 3300 Folsom Blvd Sacramento, CA 95816 United States. They prebilled me for 25 gallons even though they only had only 15 in stock and they promised me it would be ready by 1:30 when I paid for it at 10:30 am . It was more than an hour late and I made it very clear I needed it on time. Or at least point me in the direction of a store that might have all 25 gallons and the assistant manager said no I can have it on time. This was not the case. Consuelo's best excuse was "I cannot control traffic". I just wanted to express my concern and that I'm paying my 4 guys for pushing a broom for an hour while my order was late. read more

I didn't realize I had to do more than pick cabinet colors and the countertop to our kitchen remodel. To be brutally honest, picking wall colors gave me anxiety - there's always a dizzying number of options. So, I headed to Sherwin-Williams in East Sac with my cabinet colors and countertop samples. Franklin at the East Sac Sherwin-Williams was fantastic and he helped me narrow down our color scheme and sent me home with an appropriate number of samples to choose from. Ok, I'm in ordering paint on a holiday and 1 hour before they close, so I get it. I'm super apologetic but my painters just showed up and asked to start working. But clearly in ear shot they're sighing dramatically and saying things like, "One hour before close...never fails!" At least wait until I leave the store, and also what else are you doing for the next hour? You're stuck here anyway...all in all it took 20 min, so why all the histrionics? read more

I ordered paint online during the last couple hours of a 4th of July sale. Turns out the paint I ordered wasn't in stock and the store didn't know when they'd get the paint in stock. I was super bummed but was given a couple options. Get a different sheen and they'd honor the sale discount or to take the paint I wanted at a discount BUT it was already tinted to a color similar to the one I wanted and was the only gallon of the specific paint I was looking for that they had on hand. That seemed fine and I went home and the color was just way too bright white. I took the paint back to the store and another employee was there this time and I brought in a piece of trim with the color I was hoping to get close too. He took maybe 20 mins but was able to eyeball adding color into the already tinted paint to get EXACTLY what we needed. They really worked with me to come up with a solution and had a positive attitude about it the whole time. read more

His supervisor Maria was helpful to and educated us on how much paint we would need. This was one of the best experiences I had at a store. Our new house had horrible paint. I called it "Refried Beans" to nice people, yucky names to people who I didn't really like. I was hesitant to "ASK SHERWINNNN WILLIAMSSSS!" because I just figured they were another marketing ploy. However, my best friend Vanessa N. kept raving about their paint quality and after an awful Lowes and Home Depot experience, I was game. Go online and look for coupons! We happened to go in when they were having 40% off their paint supplies and 30% off their paints plus I had a $10 off coupon. We bought almost $1000 worth of paint and supplies for $600. That included all the gear it took to remove popcorn ceilings. I am a Graphic Designer, and I know my colors and I am obsessive about attention to detail and asking a million questions. My girls didn't fail me. They answered them all. I even bought a paint that was a bit too yellow... and I brought it back and we were able to recode the color to be more green, exactly what I was going for. The cashmere finish in our home is absolutely perfect. And the semi-gloss in our kitchen is bright but not abusive and is stain resistant yet lacks the nasty shine that most semi-gloss offers. Very friendly staff who seem fairly knowledge in the paint craft. There is a large array of shades to choose from and all the painting accessories you will ever need. It is pricier but it seems to be very good quality. Sign on their mailing list for free gets you 25% which was cool. read more

This Sherwin Williams store is my go-to painting resource center. I just bought a house down the street and Clay has been helping me with my home improvement projects - whether it's wood stains, painting supplies, and picking the right shade of gray. He's knowledgeable and more than willing to help sort out my questions. I've already bought a lot of the HGTV home paints, which are inexpensive and don't have VOCs, which can linger and be a pain in a new house. The prices are on par with the big box stores, but I receive much better service and quality here. They currently have a 40% off paints and stains sale until July 23. Hurry! read more

Clerk gave a classic bait and switch, insisting that I sign up for their preferred customer status in Exchange for a 15 % discount. Only to find out that it would have been cheaper to pay the displayed sale price. Clerk offered a convoluted explanation why I should give them my complete contact info in Exchange for the privilege of paying them more. I cancelled the sale, wasting 10 minutes of my time. I asked them to delete my email address from their database,which they agrred to do. However, two days later i received junk emails from them because they had renegged on their agreement to delete my email. NOT recommended. read more

The staff here has always been very pleasant and accommodating. They greet you, check on you to see if you have questions, but they don't hover which is great. If I have a question I feel comfortable asking because the employees are approachable and genial. read more

I love this store, everyone is friendly, and helpful. You can't please all the people all the time, but they will probably come close. Sherwin Williams in general has great customer service, and friendly staff. This is not the case at other paint stores, and it is to me a big deal. I have yet to meet anyone at this location who isn't friendly. Clay and Liz know their stuff, and it shows. People will complain that SW is expensive, I think their paints are worth the money. My go to paint for interior walls and ceilings is Cashmere, this stuff is so nice, and looks great over time. read more

Joseph was very consultative with my wife and I on paint selection, listening tooir needs concerning the various surfaces we're painting of our house we're remodeling. He listened and advised on our needs. We were able to place a follow up order with him on the phone and he was able to pull the exact color and paint daily for us quickly. I never imagined finding the right color paint could be so incredibly difficult, frustrating and expensive. Jose to the rescue. He is a true color expert! He was able to do what I was beginning to think was impossible: find a light grey with blue undertones for my bathroom. He created the perfect hue! He REALLY knows his stuff! I am going back to seek his help with trying to find a grey for the rest of the house. Wish us luck. I have bought paint here several times now. The colors and finish from the paints I purchased here are my favorites in my house. I brought in a chip that was too tiny for the color match machine but the employee was able to find a perfect match. I was so impressed! Two days age I went to a large box realtor with an exact paint and asked for a quart of it. I didn't realize until I got home they had mixed in a semi gloss instead of flat. Yeah, I may paid less, but I was at mercy of whomever was behind the paint counter at that place. It was such a contrast to the knowledgeable staff they have at this store. May cost more, but in my opinion it is worth it! read more

Always super helpful staff that genuinely try to help the customers with paint selections and helping customers save money. If you don't bring in a coupon they will pull one out and scan it for you. The quality of paint is way better than Home Depot paint and is absolutely worth the extra money. In my experience, the mid-range SW paint is far superior to the top-shelf Home Depot paint. I am a designer and frequently specify Sherwin colors. This location i s clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I had a woman help me that was also a designer, which was nice to have someone who understands what I am talking about. The designer that works at this location also does in hone consultations for interior and exterior, which I think is great! They also ordered me a designer box with all their colors and sheens. Been using the Emerald Interior Product on a Home that is in a very nice area. Owner is knowable, and seems to like the result, to me as a painter this is the most important factor of any job, what does the Owner think of the paint job? Paint covered well, went over a little darker color and looks like one coat is enough, according to the Owner. If a painter has to use two coats this is a increase in cost due to more paint and labor due to putting on one more coat. Looks like paint also acts like a sealer in that , Interior Emerald has the ability to cover joint compound without a primer, I did prime living room, and Owner allowed me to do a test coat of Emerald on another room to see if Emerald has the ability to cover without primer first. Very please as a painter , on how Emerald covered going over a little darker color with one coat, over previous color , especially on the ceiling, for a painter nice to know that one coat covered on the ceiling, even when ceiling had new sheetrock and mud on ceiling, this ceiling I did prime/123, and then one coat, not sure if paint worth the amount charged, yet a very very good paint. If a painter can catch a 40 percent discount on paint then a buy.... Paint takes a little getting use to on application, have to work with paint a bit, almost flows to much, for a thin paint can be rolled out with a little bit more work than some paints , if painter works with paint , paint will work for painter. read more

I chose Sherwin Williams "Roman Column" for my kitchen walls after viewing the large sample chip in my kitchen at various times of the day. I picked the color because of the warm creamy white hue. The first coat had a definite greenish tinge which I thought might be different when the paint dried. (My walls were originally painted a similar white which should not have affected the new color.) The second coat looked the same and when I placed the sample chip on top of the dry paint there was a big difference. The green tint really stands out against the light blue of the ceiling. Just figured I would have to live with it until I talked to a local decorator who experienced problems with several SW colors, Turned out that one of those colors was "Roman Column". She had to have a client's house repainted because of the color discrepencies. The SH store will give me are refund or new paint, but that won't make up for labor costs to have it repainted. Still not sure if I will repaint or not. Very disappointed and because of this experience I will be switching to Ben Moore. I was really pleased with the consistency of the paint (the Cashmere level) and would have used it again, but I just can't trust that the color would be true. read more
