As a matter of fact, their bbq area in general is really well stocked. Bunch of cool windmills, chimes, outdoor furniture, and even outdoor kitchen equipment. I can't say there are tons of deals just laying around, and you should practice caution and make sure you aren't getting totally taken on price here. One big difference that makes it worth the price is the level of help you can get here. Truly knowledgeable folks in each department make it a joy to shop here. Some things are just worth it. We took our board to the store and within an hour -- they were busy on the weekend -- they were able to match our stairs to the wood floor almost perfectly. We have noticed in certain light that the floor looks just a touch lighter than the wood floors, but the majority of the time they look the same. Overall, we're pleased with Porter Paints. They carry a large selection of interior and exterior paints, including VOC-free.

They are recommending a guy named Milo who lies about being insured. I do not care if he is a good…read morepainter- the staff and Milo lie about him having insurance which is a massive liability on the customer. When I asked Milo to show me proof he admitted he didn't have insurance. He also took weeks to get an estimate in and now it's cold and painting will have to wait (going with someone who is insured and can show the proof). But the Sherman Williams store is terrible- when I told them he was lying about this and the staff were too he said the guy said "well he is a good painter and hasn't needed insurance." I asked if they could make sure the customers know he is not insured and he literally sighed at me. Clearly they don't care at all about customers and are totally fine with lying. I wasn't asking for anything but for people to be honest and apparently that is asking way too much.

Walked in as the sole customer to buy over $300 of paint and supplies and the three employees just…read morelooked at me as if I had landed from Mars. I greeted them when coming in, nothing. Repeated my greeting, again nothing. It did not appear that they any interest in selling any paint. People do not walk into a professional paint shop to "look" around, they generally know what they want, also I do not expect 5-star restaurant type service, but I, at least, want to be acknowledged as a paying customer. It was my first time at this particular location dealing with Farrell-Calhoun. I have not had any problems at any of the other locations. I will stick with Farrell-Calhoun, as I have established a color I use for my rental properties, but I will never again go to the location in Olive Branch. And to add insult to injury, i go to another Farrell-Calhoun and get the paint $7 a gallon cheaper than what was quoted in Olive Branch. Farrell-Calhoun is fine, just stay away from this branch.
