They took my order, mixed the paint then rung up the sale. Without hesitation I gave them my credit card before looking at the can of paint (huge mistake). The top of the can and the lid were severely dented. When the salesman handed me the can, & the dent became visible to me, I asked the him if he would please give me a can that was not dented. My reason was that if all the paint was not used I'd want to store it in a can with a good seal. He refused and said i could buy an additional can of paint as they don't accept returns on specially mixed paint. At this point my hands have not even touched the can. It had not moved from the countertop. Clearly he dented it when he put it in the shaker!! He claimed it was just fine as it had been in the shaker and had not leaked. When I again asked him to please give me an unbent can he smarted off to me & said, "It's not like it's going to dent your ceiling." I'm completely disgusted at this service from Sherwin Williams. I understand the no return policy on special mix but don't give me a damaged container & expect me to have to keep it because you charged me before showing me the dented can!!!! I had to take the can, like it or not, as I needed it to paint that day but this was TERRIBLE customer service from a Sherwin Williams location that I've patronized for YEARS!! The salesman's name on my ticket was Jovane. Avoid this store & this salesman if you can!!!!

I got to the front to check out and with all 4 associates in the store (that I could see) no one made eye contact, no one took a moment to say welcome in or we will be right with you, nothing. Terrible customer service. While waiting in line, I had to listen to blaring Tejano music. Not everyone likes that kind of music, so it is very rude and unprofessional to have it so loud. That belongs in a warehouse, not in the ears of your customers. I spent 17 minutes in line for 4 samples. I got what I needed, but I was completely turned off by the lack of care for customers. I will use the other store on Memorial and Kirkwood. They were helpful, and the store was quiet.

Andreas really made sure to get the colors right so I could touch up without repainting everything. I joke it sometimes sounds like a salon as they blow dry the freshly made batch of paint onto the samples I bring to color match. They carry different brands than Home Depot - I presume more professional ones. I got the Purdy extension pole for painting, and it works like a charm with the Purdy roller with the quick click) and rather abysmally with the Home Depot brand Wooster (that I bought because Sherwin Williams already closed for the day). Andreas said I would be treated like family and wow the employees all are able to look me up without asking for a phone number or anything by the second visit. I'm glad that they made me feel at home and are so helpful giving tips with all my painting woes and needs - it'll definitely be my go to spot in Houston!

Unfortunately, at this store the manager did not want to help, and more than that, he made sure to put a note on my account to not approve any more purchases by phone like we did for the past few years!! Embarrassing that Sherman Williams hires people like this to work in their store and let it happen, from looking at the reviews, it happened several times before, and obviously this manager does NOT know customer service and what it means. Better to close the store and open a different location with nicer people or just change the whole crew cause they're already all rotten. Some were great and others were really not engaged and standoffish. The store is definitely expensive. I saw a few things I wanted and will be coming back for later. I was able to find a great Maison Berger (this was the last one and was the display) and since it was my first time I got 10% off. I sincerely wished that I had gotten the name of the wonderful man, who was working at Bering's and who immediately began helping me find what I needed to buy. He literally walked me around, asking others who also worked there, where to find these items. Of course we ended up in the right section with a multitude of selections which I truly appreciated. I found what I needed and I was a very happy customer! This person's excellent professional service was extremely appreciated. Next time I'm at Bering's I will try to find him, so I can edit this review and add his name so he gets recognized for his over-the-top service!!!
