Organized and very helpful. They were able to make an appointment and lay out my slabs before my contractor and I arrived. Very convenient!

Walked in to pick up an order I had purchased online on a Saturday…read more First let me start by stating that I have always been a fan of Williams-Sonoma. They have lots of things for sell that I did not know I needed nor existed. But this time the lady at the counter acted as if I was lost or she was on medication. I told her I was there to pick up an order and she asked me if I was sure it was a store pick up order and not an order to be delivered. Then she asked if I was at the correct store. Then she asked if I had already paid for the order then finally she asked what was I picking up. When I told her she said oh, yes I believe I saw that back there. I miss the days of people just asking to see the order. Oh and after she handed my paid item to me she asked if I needed a bag. Do better Williams-Sonoma. I do recommend this store as we need to keep the brink & mortars open.

Went for father's day with my dad for the little class on steak. They had coffee there along with 2…read moredifferent syrups to try incase you wanted something. Also water was available. I can't really complain since it's FREE. Feels weird to criticize but I have to. Going for just the class is not worth it. It's not some full breakdown or really informative on the cuts of meat or anything. I think if anything it's more so helpful to those that might be interested to see what seasonsings/sauces are used and what fancy/expensive pans or skillets are used for the dish they're making. But even then it's not like alot of info is given on the cooking tools they use, just more so brand name and type (like if it's cast iron or enamel). Maybe while you shop throughout the store they give more info. Plantain chips and a bit of chimmichurri sauce was given, like 4-5 chips a person. The steak had a dry chimmichurri rub that was yummy. Probably would've been better if the lady had let the steak "rest" for the 10 minutes but maybe she felt that others were impatient and that's why she cut into it as soon as she took it off the pan. For those that think they'll get fed, you are wrong and don't ever go in with that expectation. You're getting a small sampling. Overall MAYBE like 2-3 bits of the actual entree. I knew this going in but I feel like alot of people don't so that's why i mention it. I went knowing this, but my plan was to look at bakeware anyway since I had never been in a WS store. So for me the drive was worth it and a cute small activity to do with my dad.

Some of the meals you're cooking are simpler than others. We had a pear arugula salad, bolognese, and olive oil cake on the menu. The chef and her crew were great! They took their time and explained everything to us. For the pasta, we actually made the noodles! Which was really cool! The whole experience was so much fun! You get to eat the food after you're done, but make sure you eat it because you cannot take the leftovers. Everything was yummy! Tip: you can BYOB! We brought our own bottle of wine! They don't charge a corkage fee and have glasses for you. I highly recommend a cooking class! Especially with friends or a date night. It was a lot of fun! We want to do their surf and turf one next.

We had a great experience at the Memorial location of Sur La Table for a dim sum cooking class…read more This was a Christmas gift from me to J. and was on a Sunday a bit after lunch. When we got to the class, it was completely full and we were paired with another couple. Among the 4 of us, we made potstickers filled with shrimp and pork, as well as bbq pork bao buns. Our instructor was great - I enjoyed his humor and he made the class lively! We were greeted with tea to sip on and the ingredients were prepped in advance with small containers of each sauce, veggies, mushrooms, etc. We took turns chopping, or whisking, or using the stand mixer. I learned some useful knife skills as well! It was fun learning how to fold the wonton wrappers as well as the dough for the bao buns. I appreciated the chance to learn multiple delicious recipes and we had a fun group! I would have appreciated more observation of making the bbq pork as that was pre-prepared, and going through the multiple ingredients we used as they were not labeled. That being said, we received recipe booklets so that we can try them on our own. We had a pause midway through the class during which the Sur La Table staff steamed our potstickers and bao buns and we browsed the store with our day-of discount. When we returned, I enjoyed sharing the delicious dim sum! We were pretty full towards the end but learned that we can't take any of the food out of the store due to any risk on the store which was a bummer. Nevertheless our group chowed down and finished our tasty meal! I enjoyed all the instructors and staff at this location and would certainly be open to coming back, though for a special occasion as their classes are on the pricey end.
