This beautiful young woman is the definition of personable and helpful. I walked in and she immediately made eye contact with me and asked me if she could help me find anything. I told her I was looking for smoke detectors and she walked me right to them. They were in a locked case so I needed her so I could grab one and she knew that. I picked a smoke/monoxide combo detector that she pointed out was on sale. Not only was she personable, she also helped me save ten dollars. It's employees like her that keeps me coming back to this hardware store. Thank you Emily. Keep being you.....

I would give DV a 5 star rating but the store manager, Ray is a jerk and DV refuses to do anything…read moreabout it. Ray treats people like crap and is not afraid to yell at them. I had a client who was trying to decide on a color for her house. We tried a few DV shades but my client saw a couple of colors from Home Depot she liked. When I asked Ray to match an HD color he got upset and said that "maybe this store isn't for you." I took him up on his offer and I have not set foot in a DV store since. DV's paint is good but I am not going to get yelled at where I need paint. Home Depot doesn't treat me that way so I have been buying my paint there. It's too bad because Diamond Vogel is a family owned company and I like to support those kind of businesses but if I have to deal with Ray then NO THANK YOU! Get rid of Ray and I will return! HOWEVER- I arrived at the final walkthrough at the scheduled time, and they were still not done clearing out their supplies. This was okay and I assumed more work would be done. When I returned to my home later that day I was appalled. There was brown liquid spilled on the cabinets and floors, paint spilled on the floors, stairs & countertops, outlet covers missing (still not found), painter's tape still stuck to the walls & baseboards, and sunflower seeds littered across EVERY single floor in the house (including the in the carpet and the bathtub). I am shocked at the way the house was left and how sloppy this was. This was not the condition that it was supposed to be left in. I had a showing the next morning so had to spend over 3 hours cleaning it. I contacted the manager about it and received a $275 discount. They did offer to come back over and "take care of these items" but I had no time to let them come back so I had to take care of it myself. For how much I paid to for this to be done I expected way more from this company. I will not be using this company again.
