My wife and I simply stopped in to start getting some type and color ideas for tile on an upcoming remodel project. We are not at the purchase phase as of yet but wanted to get some ideas. The gentleman that helped us was informative, patient and knowledgeable. He helped formulate some ideas and pointed us towards affordable tile options. We left with a much better understanding of what our project will entail and deeply appreciated the patient assistance. When it time to buy, this will be our go to store. My wife and I are a very obvious same sex couple and we were treated like people with no notice taken. That was much appreciated. LGBT friendly store. read more

Good selection, but everything is overpriced. Be aware of their return policy, you only get 60 days. I installed Wedi products for a shower and was sold 9 tubes of sealant. I went to return the 7 that I didn't use but can't so I'm out over $160 of unnecessary materials. read more

Will NEVER use this store again I placed an eight thousand dollar order Jan 15. Two bags of grout, only one came. I called Devin,(my salesperson) asking where it was. Oh yes yes we are sending it out to you. Nothing ever came I needed to exchange the seat for a different color Emailed Devin No response Texted Devin (he responded instantaneous prior to) No response I called the store...Devin said oh yes yes...let me call another store and I will get right back to you. I said you can call, email or text. No response My husband then brought back unused and broken material for a refund. Refusing to refund two bags of grout. One never came which made the second unusable. My GContractor had to go elsewhere to get grout to complete the job. So they breached the agreement and we are out $100 dollars now? My husband also ordered another seat, I get a phone call (see they can contact you when they want) that if I want it I can drive over an hour to another store to get it. No thank you, please cancel this order. I then requested three separate times, confirmation of refund and cancellation. No responses. They are only interested in sales, no follow up customers service exists. For all these happy reviews, I'm happy for you. I can only assume by the consistent ignoring of our requests this is how this store operates. We will be sure to share our experience with The Tile Store. read more

My wife and I went here a couple of weeks ago to start trying to get an idea of what kind of tile we wanted to use for an upcoming renovation in our house. We are in the early planning stages and didn't want a lot of pressure to buy because we just wanted to gather ideas. Devin was working as the store manager that day, and he struck a great balance between being available to help us come up with ideas and giving us the space to take it slowly and have conversations by ourselves. And we found that when we told him what we liked, he was really knowledgeable about his inventory and was really good at coming up with things that were very much what we were looking for. Afterwards, Devin sent us an email with the tiles we really liked, which at this point we probably will use once we get the project going. So I would recommend this place for the inventory but especially for the customer service. read more

My Auntie came in a few weeks ago she was very exited to finally remodel the bathroom in her basement. As I am staying there for the holidays! She sent me a few pictures here and there while she was at the tile shop. I believe Nastia was the lady who was helping my auntie at the time she was very patient, kind and friendly she helped us find the perfect patterns for our unique style! I never imagined the bathroom to come out as spectacular as it did but thanks to Nastia it was like a dream come true! I shopped the Knoxville TN store and enjoyed working with Kristen our second sales person. She was very helpful and I was happy with the selection of tiles and their displays were nicely done. My husband ( who has spent 40 yrs. In commercial construction and home remodeling) and I are working on our third bathroom and had spent around 20k with this store in the last 1 1/2 years. I realize this doesn't make me a mega customer but one would think I could be a good customer. We needed to return 5 cases of matted porcelain penny tiles valued at $100 each because we had attempted to cut one of the matted squares and realized they were not going to work for us. Our plan was to replace them with another tile. We picked out another tile the was twice as expensive. When my husband showed the warehouse person the case with the one mat he had cut a quarter of an inch off one side of before realizing it wasn't going to work they refused to take that case back. I realize this is there return policy. My problem with it is how it was handled. We had already discussed with the lackluster sales person (not Kristen) who showed no real interest in assisting us in selecting a different tile, as was the attitude of the entire staff that day, that one of the mats had been cut. When they refused the return of the one case, there was no attempt to try an accommodate us in anyway. The person who was the management person didn't think it was worth talking to us, after being informed of the situation by warehouse personnel, and the salesperson certainly didn't think we warranted any effort to get management involved. We went a few blocks down the road and bought tiles for much less at Floor and Decor. Note to The Tile Shop: customers are much easier to lose than they are to get. read more

Leanna and Stephen are top notch. My husband and I went to so many tile stores in search of flooring and backsplash and no one else came close to the customer service that these two provided. Leanna was so patient when we wanted to look at different tiles on their visualizer, hem and haw over grout color, and look at a million tiles for backsplash. Ultimately it was Leanna who found our PERFECT tile that had just come off their delivery truck that afternoon. Thank you both for making stressful decisions so much easier! read more

My wife and I worked with Devin Dumas at the Lakewood store to get design advice and tile for a small kitchen and bathroom. He also recommended the Wedi system for the shower. I did all of the work myself. Devin provided excellent support and advice for the whole project. He got me hooked up with a factory rep from Wedi when I needed more details. If I had any issues, Devin took care of them. The whole process was wonderful and the result were awesome. Devin was the perfect salesman and I can't recommend him highly enough. read more

What a selection.. I thought it was going to be another few hours of wandering around trying to match tiles, colors, styles and such. Jed stepped in sharing his knowledge. My wife decided to patronize this establishment for tiles in our downstairs bathroom remodel job. The customer service was on point in the beginning, but the first set of tile we purchased crumbled in the hands of the contractor and we had to take them back for a refund. The manager was accommodating in light of the situation, and even offered to discount further tile, but when you think about it; the store should not be selling tiles that are sub-par. In the past, we have purchased tile from Floor and Decor for the same price that were more sturdy and did not fall apart. Needless to say, our contractor turned out to be a fraud, and the store was aware of this with at least two other customers who had complained to them, but never once bothered to inform us until after we finally fired the guy, even in light of him picking up our purchases. Never use "Bonfire Craftsman Services!" The Tile Shop refunded most of the items we returned from that job, due to the issues we had faced with the tile and the contractor; however, my wife went to the store yesterday and attempted to return one final item, but was unable to do so due to the time frame from the date of purchase, which is understandable. They offered her a gift card for the purchase price instead, which we could not use, because the project was now completed with another contractor. What was not understandable was the way in which the female cashier handled the situation. My wife left the store crying and the cashier was overheard cackling down the hallway at her and even lied to the manager regarding her sitting the container she planned to return on the floor by saying she threw it. Trust me, if my wife was throwing things, you would know it! I was right outside and watched her place it on the ground wondering why. Very unprofessional to say the least. You never know what someone is going through, and after treating a customer in this fashion, you should not have a job! We will no longer be purchasing from this establishment. read more

My husband and I went to several tile stores in the area and should have come here first. We were very specific about the tile we needed for our new home (style, pattern, length, etc.) and we found ALL the tile we needed here. We currently needed 4 types of tile for our home and will need more in he future). It is more pricey than the big chain stores but not ridiculous for the quality and selection. Cannot wait for the backordered tile to arrive in June (we were aware ahead of time and it is discontinued tile). Will be back and will refer friends and family. read more

We were doing many rooms, and bathrooms, and wanted up-to-date tile, not what you would typically find in the 2 big box stores. We also did not want to go to a small specialty shop that did not have a huge display of a plethora of tiles. So we walked into this store and WOW, it is huge, all displayed with mock up floors, bathrooms so we could visualize what we needed. Plus the help of Eric and Carson could not have been better. Attentive and they knew the product. Since our order was large, we used their Tile Shop Credit Card and got more % off the price. Then after our project was completed, we of course had leftover tile, (I think our tiler did not want us to be short). We were able to return a large percentage of the tile, both in their boxes, and individual tiles. They offer delivery or you can pick it up. Gladly would recommend them. read more

I purchased most of the tile for my new bathroom from the tile shop. The remodeling contractor placed an initial order, but it was only about half of what was needed. I was able to find the tiles online at the tile shop website, but the 'free shipping to your home' option that the website claimed was not working when I tried to check out. Frustrated, I called the Tile Shop store in Lakewood. The manager and the assistant manager were both very helpful, and made it possible for me to place my order over the phone, and charge it to a new tile shop credit card (6 months free financing and 15% off). I ordered on Friday and picked up my tile Tuesday after work. The store is great for looking at options and visualizing what things will look like when finished. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. I will definitely look here again when I am ready to do my next tiling project. read more
