I provided the paint chip, and they matched it for me perfectly (I guess I pick the colors for which they don't have the paint codes - lucky them!). The service is wonderful and very personal, and their paint/stain selection is excellent. I buy the Benjamin Moore EcoSpec, which is a zero VOC paint. When you are painting literally every surface in your home, you don't want VOCs trust me. Very worth it at under $30/gallon. It's the kind of place where, no matter what you're looking for, someone on staff knows exactly where it is, and that's exactly what happens every time I walk in. Need an old-style BUS fuse to replace a blown one? They've got it and they'll take you right to it. Need some self-sealing stem bolts? They've got those, too. Fabricated half-inch pipe? You betcha! Parking is a breeze. There are a few municipal spaces out front, and then additional parking along the alley next to the building and in the back. The staff knows what they have, and also has suggestions if you're not sure what approach to take for a project/problem/emergency you're facing, and at very reasonable prices! Yea, you could drive a couple miles away to save a few pennies on something...or you could just get it here and not have to worry about driving up Taylorsville Road. I took my mower in this year and they replaced a bad cap for the gas and tuned the mower replacing some thing's needed and sharping the blade etc. However, the cap leaked gas as I mowed. I took the mower back and was shown the cap was not the issue as I had thought. The gas tank was compromised inside for the ridges to tighten the cap. They had a used tank right there available. It was installed same day and only charge for the tank at a very very good price. I mowed yesterday and the mower was great. Started quickly and mowed level, quickly and no gas leaks. Wonderful place, friendly, professional and helpful. I would recommend for your needs.

They have a full range of services from Hardware, Lumber, Paint and a Design Center. They even have a Design Team that can help you plan you projects. I had been looking for wooden stakes for my recently planted tomato plants. This was the only place near la Grange I could find that had them in stock. I never felt intimidated (unfortunately that's still a reality in some places) and would have no problem going back for my next project (and there is ALWAYS a next project...). PS - the person behind the counter (owner?) was explaining to me that they get a really great deal on paint, a white label brand of the expensive stuff at a steady ~20% off. When you've done a fair amount of shopping at the bigger box hardware places (we'll go with the…read morenames Orange and Blue) and you can't find what you want, I find that Tractor Supply usually sneaks in for the win. Recently we decided we wanted to put in a rain barrel for watering our veggies, flowers, and Crepe Myrtles. We checked several locations of Orange and Blue and, not to anyone's surprise, found that they didn't have any in stock. Ordering would have taken a couple weeks to get here. These days 2 weeks is a LONG time for delivery. We had cash on hand, so I drove out to Tractor Supply. Turns out they had 2 rain barrels in stock. While I was there I visited the wild bird seed aisle. Tractor Supply has a GREAT selection and variety of bird seed. I have about 10 feeders in our back yard so I go through A LOT of bird seed. (Well, *I* don't, the birds do. I just put it in the feeders.) I've never been let down by the bird seed they have in stock or the variety, and there's almost always a sale of some kind going on. The staff at this location is always fun and helpful. If you're looking for something they'll take you to it instead of nodding in a general direction, and there are a few that have a great sense of humor. No one wants to be helped by a robot. A little personality can go a long way in making a routine shopping visit into a great one. About 15 minutes later and I had my rain barrel and a few bags of bird seed and a pleasant conversation with the guy at the register (whose name I don't recall) who had mad skills at zapping and flipping that scanning gun. From now on Tractor Supply will be the first place I look. Orange and Blue will have to wait.
