The Youngstown Shopping Plaza location in Jeffersonville IN had been my go-to location until I found the Veterans Parkway location to be a touch better. No problems at the other location which is probably a little closer to home but I had a great experience at the new location. I am currently doing some deferred maintenance on our home namely painting the dining room, living room, hallway and foyer, re-staining the deck and for the first time, painting our concrete front porch and walkways to the driveway. I called to order some concrete paint and pay over the phone so my painter could go pick it up and get the job done while I was at my day job. The store manager, Sherry Burckhardt was able to choose the exact color of gray paint for my porch and walkway just from what I had described on the phone call. There are MANY shades of gray and I was very pleased with the choice we made, Stamped Concrete. Sherry definitely has a gift and Sherwin-Williams is blessed to have her in charge. I met several other employees there and can say they are great compliments to the store which I look forward to doing business with exclusively. But I went there anyway for a gallon of paint and the experience couldn't have gone better. The guy at the counter was helpful and patient. The prices seem in line with the big box stores. I'll gladly get my paint and supplies from Dages moving forward.

The folks greeted me when I entered and thanked me for the copious amount of love and attention that I showed the store cat. No pressure to buy, no shakedown about my intentions. They then gave me space to get down to the business of examining paint swatches. Based on the discussions I heard while in the store, I think that a lot of professional painters and designers use Dages. The people working there are helpful and very knowledgable, but not at all pushy. They spoke to their regulars like friends, which I loved. Dages has a full range of equipment, paint types, and colors to fit any DIY or commercial endeavor. The staff are cool and I wouldn't hesitate asking them any question I had about a project. When I left with a handful of ideas but no actual paint, they thanked me and said come back anytime. That's my kind of customer service. I'll be back, no doubt.

I was unfamiliar with Porter Paints as a brand, but my landlord told me I should use them…read more Previously I had used Sherwin Williams. We met with Leddy, and she helped us with colors that would work with furniture and the color of the wood flooring. They are gorgeous - she was so right! I'm not really good at measurements, mostly due to being lazy at that (but I can whip up an amazing hour-long presentation!). The person helping me sold me too much paint for the area that I needed covered (although I take responsibility for not quite having done all the math before my arrival), and when the painter opened the primer (I asked for primer with a color shot), the primer was too dark for the topcoat. The painter was able to just use the topcoat and do two coats. I know paint with color in it isn't returnable, but since it was a mistake in the color (primer with a color shot should have half the color), I brought the two cans of primer back. Porter Paints was very nice about it, and refunded me the money. I really appreciated how professional they are, and nice about mistakes. I will definitely use them in the future.
