I now realize that they are so flexible that I could've done all interactions remotely without visiting their facility if I needed it, Danny Rivera and the entire team really worked with me and accommodated my requests. That first contact in their facility was not very professional, the office was disorganized and it felt like a reunion of good old boys, whose humor doesn't really resonate with everyone, rather than a professional place for business. But all of that was erased and the some, by the flexibility, professional follow-through, attention to details, timely drop off and pick up of materials, respect for my property from the delivery guys, and perks that they threw in the deal along the way. We talked about how the neighborhood used to be, similar memories, bars, parks, and so on. He shared stories about seeing John Travolta during the filming of Saturday night fever and he even witnessed the making of a scene in the French Connection, and how Gene Hackman, and Roy Schneider were so nice to the neighborhood kids, and so on. How they're both real human beings! And it's funny because people today are so pretentious. Especially, the majority of the actors and actresses of today. We consulted with the owner, Colleen, about color choices for a number of rooms including my young son's room. She was very knowledgeable about paint color and made great suggestions. When we went to pick up the paint for my son's room, some of the employees even showed him how they mixed the colors to reach the right shade for his room. Colleen took the time to learn about our project and understood our budget needs too. The staff were friendly and helpful.
