She was able to help us get a great deal by letting us know what sales and bundles were going on. She really made what I thought would be a stressful experience so easy. Horrible!We ordered a dishwasher through Alex and we specifically asked him if a power cord comes with the dishwasher because we noticed on LG website that it was sold separately. He reassured us it came with the dishwasher. Once it was delivered, my husband noticed there was no power cord! It was late at night and we had to run to Home Depot to get one because we had the contractor coming the next day. Very disappointing. They offered me a $75 gift certificate and then even a $150 certificate that could ONLY be used at, guess where... P.C. RICHARDS. These offers are absolutely ridiculous and your company should be ashamed of itself for not actually caring about the customer! Why would I want to spend a single cent ever again in PC richards especially when $75 and $150 will buy NOTHING OF VALUE in an appliance store where you'll easily spend $500+ on one unit of anything and most of the time have NO REASON to come back any time soon, since these are SUPPOSED TO BE long term purchases. I had to deal with the no fridge situation for one month you've lost nothing, no money was spent by you by you offering a CHEAP certificate to YOUR STORE, trying to make even more money from a customer you've already burned. Are you crazy? This makes no sense. We had to spend $200 on an Insignia freezer from Best Buy and another $1600 on a new whirlpool fridge from a RELIABLE small business appliance and service local company, who acquired and installed the perfect fitting fridge in just two days. Im putting this update in a bit late but after many months i have to say p.c. Richard was not the main issue here, it was frigidaire /Electrolux with the terrible service. If P.C. Richards did not step in I don't know where i would be now. My entire issue turns out was just really bad quality products by Electrolux and terrible quality control. The sales experience was great, but unfortunately the execution was below average. My gf and I bought a TV, as well as a bed set this past weekend. We coordinated a day for it all to be delivered. We received the calls the day prior as promised and then this is where it went downhill. I got the call for my 30 min delivery window from the drivers at 11:10 AM. They did not bother to show up until 1pm. As they were bringing all of the materials in they noticed that the bed frame was damaged. They told the person on the phone that they didn't check it before leaving the warehouse. They left and said someone would call me. 15 min later I get a phone call, no apology, no empathy and just told that they were bringing it on another date. I told them that didn't work and moved it to another day. I ask what is going to happen in regards to the charges and the person on the phone said he doesn't know as he just books the appointments. I ask to speak with someone and they put "Sam" on the phone. Sam "apologizes" and says he is not a decision maker but that he will advocate for me with corporate. I had a feeling he was lying about not being able to make a decision and that only corporate can help so I took the time to call corporate on the phone. I spoke to a really nice gentleman who confirmed everything was notated. He was extremely apologetic and said everything was notated, but that all compensation comes from the store level. Moral of the story here is that I am fairly certain "Sam" was not truthful, I am just going to have to lose more money by taking another day off and I will ensure that I never spend another penny at PC Richards ever again. The great thing about that is as I am building a new house and was going to put a significant chunk of coin into purchases. Oh Well. read more

Do not use their pick up system! My boyfriend and I placed an online order for pick up on Monday and we got the email saying it was ready for curbside pick up. Tuesday, he goes to pick it up and curbside is nonexistent. 3 different employees inside told him 3 different answers; the order wasn't in the system, another it was in the back, another said the item was not in stock. It took 1.5 hours to figure out what was going on. It would have been easier to have just gone to the store and gotten the item ourselves. If I could give this company ZERO stars I would. Let me tell you a story, a true story....about a mom and her desperate plight to get her monster of a kitchenaid refrigerator that we purchased in the Staten Island location working. First the lights went out, then the ice dispenser, then the water. It's been 4 tech attempts, hundreds of dollars in spoiled food, multiple parts ordered, dozens of customer service phone calls and I'm now left with a refrigerator with wires openly exposed from the unit instead of replacing it altogether. My husband and I paid for an extended warranty on our appliances, but as soon as it came time to use it, PC Richard and Sons gave me the run around. It has now been one month since the last repair person came, and my machine still doesn't work. Did I mention on the last visit the repair person removed an electronic panel from my fridge leaving wires exposed? That's not all...I am now being told it'll be another 4 weeks until new parts arrive. I have a small child at home. This is unacceptable, we just want what we paid for preferably in a TIMELY fashion. Bottom line, PC Richard & Sons is NOT the biz. This company is dishonest beyond belief. They simply pocket the warranty money and move on. So go to Sears instead. read more

Worst customer service ever! After a week of giving me the running I still can't get someone to my house to service a dryer I purchased 3 months ago! What's the point of paying for a warranty if the service tech won't come or still to an appointment? I've missed work twice in a week and got nothing achieved. One thing for certain is I will NEVER purchase anything from this or any PC Richards EVER again. Update: 8/1/18 The dryer stopped working again a month ago. Initially Mario helped me.. He was fantastic.. He navigated the store so that I could use widest rows. (I use a wheelchair.) He was so knowledgeable.. He told me he usually sells High end stove. He was more than happy to assist me with my washer, dryer.. and various other items. While I was there a buyer of my house wanted a Ref. and Dishwasher. Marco was right on it. I didn't even need to leave his desk.. Great deal too. Marco told me of the upcoming sale and said he would credit me.. I had received the wrong speaker and had to go back.. They gave me the one I paid for.. Fantastic Customer service. I called because I was miss charged on an item.. I gave my order number and via the phone was given credit on my order. Ugh my speaker went belly up.... The manufacture wanted to go through this whole process. Because I was within my 30 days...A person at the store gladly exchanged my speaker (It was in good condition with packing materials.) I can't say enough. My wife and came today to discuss our extended warrentee on our dishwasher. The sales representative, Adam, came to greet us and we explained why we were there. He listened, said let's check the computer to see if everything was in order and then took care of the issue. Adam was a terrific help, taking charge and not sending us to "customer service". He spoke to the "home office" explained that this was the third time we had the same problem with the dishwasher and helped us select a replacement model covered by the warrentee. I went to the PC Richard store to buy an air conditioner. i had a Friedrich unit in the wall of my den that was not working. I was told there was not an exact replacement to fit that sleeve since the model had been discontinued. So, I bought a new model machine and also paid $199. to have the hole in my wall made larger and install the new A/C. Well, I learned that PC Richard has not changed their underhanded ways of doing business. I bought the extended warranty because the salesman, Vincent, told me that there was no longer a five year manufacturer's warranty on the compressor. I would never buy a warranty on an A/C because I worked repairing A/Cs for 45 years. When the unit was delivered the next week, I found the paperwork said there IS A FIVE YEAR WARRANTY. Vincent lied to me just to sell the extended warranty, which was $119. Then, when the men did the installation, I discovered that the new machine is actually a little smaller then my old unit. So I paid $199. for an installation that I could have easily done myself, if Vincent had told the correct size of the A/C. Then, I noticed Vincent had added a $35. charge to "haul away" my old A/C. Of course, I wasn't told this when the order was written up. Never mind the fact that I could put this little A/C out by the curb and Sanitation will take it away at no charge. I went back to the store very angry. I told them I wanted my money back on the extended warranty, as well as the haul away charge. I let Vincent know that they will never see me in their store again. He claimed that Friedrich's five year warranty on the compressor was news to him. I told him he was a damn liar. A/C manufacturers have had five year warranties on the A/C compressors for the last 50 years. People beware! The salesmen at PC Richard will stop at nothing to sell you an extended warranty. read more

Fabulous shopping experience. The wife and I were in the market for three major kitchen appliances, a TV and an a/c. We had been doing due diligence for a couple of months, researching, checking reviews and getting prices. We finally got to this P C Richard and found true nirvana. The selection was ginormous. Everything seemed to be available for immediate delivery. The salesman were extremely knowledgable and responded fully to all of our questions. There was no hard sell here. The uniform attitude here was that the sales staff's job here was to fully inform and step back, while encouraging the customers to make decisions based on the customer's needs, even if it meant foregoing a sale. These folks really gained our trust and confidence. The niftiest part was that pricing was great. Most often lower than the competition and if not, comparable. Ultimately, our savings were substantial. Save yourself a lot of trouble: When you need what they sell, just go to this store. It will be the last place you'll shop, even if it's the first. You'll go home feeling happy, content, respected and having a great experience. Not many places on Earth can do all of that for you. Bravo P C Richard. Bravo. This store's customer service is the worst I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. They sell me a drier that as they described was "dead on arrival." Now, to have a new one installed, I have to pay $175?? How is this fare? No thank you!! I dont even have the drier 1 month!! I will purchase a new 1 from a private company. Absolutely horrendous! Beware!!! We had purchased our televisions from the Richmond Avenue location. We had them scheduled to come in to install our 2 TVs...one in our living room wall and the other on our bedroom wall. The television on our bedroom wall started to come down with the slightest touch! They never mounted the top part of it, just the bottom. Not to mention we have 2 babies!! We called this location and they did not seemed to care nor get us In touch with the right people. The manager Jordan was absolutely horrendous on the phone. I asked her for a number and she was like it's the one they called you from. She had a major attitude. They had said they were going to call back but they never did. We called corporate ourselves and they were closed when this location told us they were there until late. I will be taking matters to consumer affairs. I had bought all of my appliances from them and will never do so again. My refrigerator was delivered with a damaged door that they never managed to repair correctly. After six weeks of having technicians come to try to unsuccessfully fix the door, they finally agreed to get me a new refrigerator. My washing machine which was less than 2 years old broke and took them more than a week to order the part. I am still waiting for them to come and fix my machine. I will never use their services again. Other family members of mine that had bought from them at the same time as I did have had similar problems. read more

I called P.C. Richard in Staten Island as the fridge my in-laws had purchased for me was not keeping things in either the fridge or freezer cold. They referred me to G&G Appliance repair as all their techs were busy. I was told by the repairman that came out the fan that circulates the cold air had failed and he did not have the part. He stated that the part should come in and he would be back the following week. That did not happen. I waited two weeks then called and both the repair place and P.C. Richard said the part was on its way. A week later I was told the part appeared to be in and that I should be hearing from someone. That didn't happen either. I called again and was told the part was on back order because Fridgidaire had basically shut down production due to the pnademic. Nearly TWO MONTHS later I receive a notice LATE at night the DAY BEFORE they just went ahead and made an appointment to come with the part to repair the fridge without contacting me to see if I was available. I have been without a fully functioning fridge for TWO MONTHS!! Luckily I was able to find another solution so that I could have food in my house. However once again TERRIBLE customer service, no one seemed to care and no one would reimburse me for the cost of the food I lost due to the unit failing. NEVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM P.C. RICHARDS!! They do not care one ounce about their customers. Its unacceptable, even with the pandemic situation, that the appliance industry is so slow and repair companies do not have basic parts on hand. I wish I could give 0 stars . Worst experience purchasing a washer and dryer. When it finally came time for delivery, I was told by the installer that he could not do it because I needed an extender to the drain pipe....then he continued to complain about the gas line for the dryer. I have had washers and dryers installed over the years with the same plumbing, and never had a problem. He said Home Depot would probably have the extender, so I even stupidly offered to run out and get one. I guess when Sears installed my last washer, they had come prepared with what was needed. I never even knew I had an extender on my old machine. I went to get my phone to call my salesperson, and the delivery truck had left. So, I'm here after waiting 3 weeks, without a washer or dryer, a pile of dirty clothes, and no answers as of yet. Will never use them again. Go to Best Buy - awesome customer service!!! read more
