Applied for a house and never heard a response from them, every time we did call they would state "Today or tomorrow owner is looking at it". After hearing "tomorrow" for 5 days we decided to move forward and look for another house. Looked further into the house they were renting and it has been for rent since October 2017. On top of that, they started to ignore my calls and only answer to my boyfriends cell number. Complete waste of hope and time. Good luck to anyone who chooses to go with this company. read more

3 1/2 Stars.... I had known of Shidler Development for quite awhile. I was looking to move and found a few properties on their site I was interested in. One in particular (where I currently live) was my "Dream" home but the price was outrageous. I watched the place for 6 months, no one had rented it. Eventually they lowered the price and I swooped in like a hawk. I don't have any major complaints about them, great company with a large selection of rentals throughout the IE. Every time I go in to pay my rent I'm greeted by a friendly and familiar staff. Its nice to have a decent relationship with your landlords. As with anywhere, there are some issues but nothing to run for the hills for. If you are a person who complains more then you congratulate.... then I don't think you will be happy anywhere. PROS: Staff Properties Rental Prices CONS: No online payments Sometimes maintenance takes awhile (unless its an emergency, they will hustle for an emergency) read more

I purchased my first property from Robin Shidler in the early 90's and his company has managed it every since. As an owner, They have always taken good care of me. Hand picked my tenants and kept my statements available for me to view at anytime of the day. I have monthly photos of my property and know when and how my tenant pays. I have and will continue to refer them to friends and family alike. read more

They were unprofessional and after I submitted my applications they let me know that the home was no longer available a few days later, which wasn't a problem until they told me that they never even processed my applications. Shidler has been managing a property for us for 3-4 years now and has been totally professional. They vigorously market vacant properties (unlike my prior property manager) and vet potential renters throughly. Lisa has handled problems or repairs quickly and efficiently and the company's accounting system is clear and self-explanatory. I'm sorry others have had dificulties but remember the owners usually have to approve repairs before Shidler can act. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Shidler Development Inc. when Kaory Fielder-Leighton assisted me in getting my first home through the company. I stayed on Elm street for 4 years until I graduated from Cal State San Bernardino with my Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. I worked as a social worker for 6 years and moved onto other things in my career. Now, I reside in Atlanta, GA and Orlando, FL will be my next and final home. LOL Again, it was a nice and pleasant experience working with Shidler and I do recommend it to others. read more

Started off friendly. Ended in disaster. I am NOT a person to complain nor a difficult client. It took several weeks to get an approval to see the property inside, unfortunate events took place and unable to see the entire premises. It was explained that Owner needed deposit to hold the property or would be re-listed for additional applicants. With no choice I submitted my deposit. Poor communication on status of property for several weeks unless I initiated the call or email correspondence. Original start of inquiry started Mid May. Didn't get a date to move in until June 30th. Michelle was very rude and unprofessional during our last in person visit. A direct answer is all I needed to move forward. I received rude behavior and "Eye Rolling" while I was standing there. You work with the public, we just ask that you remain in a professional manner. Glad I do not have to do business with them further. read more

Terrible customer service! I was extremely interested in one of their rental properties, and contacted the agent to set up a viewing. I left a voicemail but did not receive a call back. I called back later and did finally get ahold of Deborah, who was in charge of this particular property. We set up a meeting to view the property, waited for 1/2 an hour, but no one showed up. Unfortunately, I had another appointment, so I had to leave. I finally received a phone call from Deborah over an hour from our planned appointment time. She apologized and said she was in traffic, but couldn't call "because she was driving." Apparently these agents don't own bluetooths? Very unprofessional. I am very disappointed in the way I was handled and will not use this property management company for my real estate needs in the future. read more

Shidler development helped out me and my children when it counted the most. They found us a nice affordable house in a safe neighborhood. I have been with other agencies who end up raising the rent ever 6 months but shidler has not done this too my family. Michelle and Izel in the office have been wonderful and always willing to help if anything comes up. I wanted to give 5 stars but they need better candy in the jar at the counter...lol. read more

Horrible property management company... having "management" in the name is laughable. Rented an apartment from them for about 2 years. Rented it to me in sub par conditions. Toilet paper holder and hand towel holder in bathroom were both broken as well as the blinds in the living room and 1 of the bedrooms. Asked multiple times for them to repaint missing paint patches as well as to replace the blinds. Was told multiple times they were sending someone out. Each time nobody came. Upon move out they claimed 90% of my deposit. Nothing in the house had been damaged by me post move in. They charged me for items that were broken or dysfunctional prior to me moving in, things I had complained to THEM about, things that were listed in THEIR OWN move in checklist and even claimed some things were broken that weren't, as shown on THEIR OWN tenant move out photos. How ridiculous that their own documentation was proving that they were wrong and flat out lying and yet they refused to negotiate with me and stopped replying to my emails after I presented all of my proof to them when I had been nothing but cordial. Jokingly referred to them as "Shitler" the entire time my non-potty mouth religious sister and I lived there. Having her willingly say the word "shit" as a joke goes to show how bad at their job they were. Not to mention you needed a pool pass to get into the pool for my complex and they never sent me the updated one so I kept getting kicked out of my own pool. When I gave them the old pool pass with key so they could get a new one they lost the pool key all together and then I couldn't even access the pool at all. All the said was "We'll call you when we find it" and of course never heard from them about it again. I had a neighbor in the complex who knew we were moving out and wanted to get the property manage company number so she could give it to her friend and upon hearing it was managed by Shidler, she changed her mind, telling me she's only heard bad stuff about them. So if you are looking for someone to "manage" your property and do whatever shady thing they can to take money from your tenants then this might be perfect for you. But as a prospective tenant I tell you FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. Despicable business. I don't usually get so upset at things like this but their lies we're so blatant and they knew it, it was disgusting. Tried having Shitler properties place a tenant for me since I love far away from the property. I was very proactive and posted tons of ads for the property looking for tenants, overall had literally 250+ applicants that've responded and forwarded all their contact info to the property manager. Literally did half their job for them. Been going back and forth with them for THREE months, thousands of dollars down the drain, they hardly respond or get in touch with you, and when they do its excuses upon excuses. of the 250+ people I gave them not to mention people theyve found themselves they've only sent me one "qualified applicant" with the worst credit score ever and tattoos all over. Told them to find another applicant, anothe rmonth later they final have another, tell them I'm good with it, but apparently the applicant never came in to finalize the agreement when they were hoping to move in ASAP? Followed just by more silence, ZERO communication. How are they even in business, they don't do their own job. read more

Renters BEWEAR!!! Do not try and do business with these people. The WORST I MEAN THE WORST company. I was told in person in there office that I was the 1st applicant on a property to apply. 3 days later I was told we were not the chosen applicants. (First come first serve) let me remind you we were told we were the 1st clients. we were MORE THEN Qualified. The property was not ready to be shown until a Monday. We waited until Monday. Come to find out they were already showing it. Cory an agent under Robin (he's the broker of Shidler development inc). Cory Told me to Fuck off on the phone... and told me she had already had an Application from someone else . We have already contacted authorities to take care of this. Very unethical. Not only did they lie to us and miss led us they lied to our agent. We tried to contact Robin and they would not give us his number. They will be hearing from the board of realtors. read more
