They both had great teachers who not only were great at their jobs but also cared about them. We never had issues on bullying or anything that concerned us. My oldest finished elementary there and when we were headed to middle school, we decided to give a nearby charter a try. So I took both boys (oldest to 6th grade) and little one for 2nd grade to a nearby charter school. There were lots of ups and downs from the new school but I figured we'd give them a shot since it was their first year open. Well...we are now back at Cypress creek with my 2nd grader. We couldn't even finish this school year at the charter school. The lack of communication from the majority of the teachers and some of the administration at the charter school was horrible. I never experienced this before with other teachers. Second grade teacher was not bad at all but middle school was just horrible there. We are so happy to be back at cypress creek and everyone was excited to see us back. I love their office staff and teachers. My 2nd grader is so happy to go to school now and be back with his friends. My oldest attends another school but he is also happy. I want to thank everyone at cypress creek for being so loving and caring so much for my children. I feel so relief now to have my boys happy where they are. If your child is going to be new at cypress creek, give them a try before judging them. No school is perfect. But this school is full of loving people who will care about your children. Also, get involved with events. Join the PTA. Participate and volunteer. You won't regret it!

Many students come in without much educational support at home, which makes it harder for the school to keep everyone on track. I moved to Florida by my junior year and completed my Junior and soon will finish my Senior year here and I'm glad I became an Indian (our mascot). The school atmosphere is amazing and if your child comes here with the determination and grit to do better and get their education, that's what will happen. East Bay seems to be notorious for fights and various altercations, however it's only a small few handful of individuals that cause such chaos. East Bay has deputies on campus for our safety, wholesome lunches, caring and attentive teachers/staff and even more so, fabulous academic connections. I've been able to apply for various scholarships throughout Hillsborough County and there are also scholarships given SPECIFICALLY for East Bay students only. How amazing is that!? The principal Mrs. Cox knows about every single student by name, she's caring and wants the best for her students and staff. Cox has also done a scholarship workshop which has also helped me and various other students with scholarship applications and taught us how to "sell ourselves" in order to earn the money. The assistant principals (AP's) like Mrs. Garcia, Mrs. Cummings, Mr. Gunn and even Mr. Williams are extremely attentive and caring, making sure all students are doing what their supposed to do and making sure their in class. I haven't played a sport at this school, but I have heard great things about football and other sports as well. I've even seen one of my classmates have a signing and going to the school of his dreams for doing what he loves! If you're moving from somewhere or want to transfer your child to a new school, East Bay High School is the place to do so!

Just the year of 2025, they had a 5th grade teacher for less than a week because administrative leaders failed to ensure her background check was cleared I've heard 1st grade teacher brings in her baby for the day, and not while she's stopping by on a check in from maternity leave.... The dean is rude and the admin is found calling kids pigs, idiots, stupid, dumb, and among other things. They lost their soul and heart when a man named Mr. Good came in insisting his daughter Jen desanto be promoted as the administrator after the former one resigned. However, she was grossly under qualified (and the one calling the students those names) and he had to settle on having her be co-adminastrator with whoever was more qualified to help run elementary. Mark Good had no background in the education world, he's just a decent salesman and anyone who wasn't buying that his daughter was the best choice he quickly pushed out. They lack Christian character, along with the "superintendent" Rumsey. The English HS teacher is also the guidance counselor which results in lack of teaching, but she is pretty decent at keeping things confidential. They have a handful of really hard working teachers who love the ministry, but the leaders are making it more business mindset rather than allowing it to be a ministry. They let nearly anyone who is willing to pay tuition in, and have boosted the cost of tuition since the school choice has been enforced in Florida. Many students who graduated from here are unprepared for college, and Jen desanto has held up the process of being admitted into college for graduting seniors due to her negligence and laziness to get proper paperwork sent on on her side. They expelled multiple kids who joked about offing yourself, yet one student remains there because his parents are church members despite him threatening to shoot up the school, or more so referencing that he wouldn't shoot certain people.

It's a Christian school but at least give the students some recognition for all their hard work through the year), and don't get me started on how many teachers we don't have causing barely any teaching. The English teacher is also a guidance counselor which means there's less teaching. The people are awesome and nice though and my family loves them. Just wished they'd fix these

They had to quickly pivot and chose here. It was a far drive for me to chaperone, but it ended up being an enjoyable experience. First know that the parking lot is small. A fellow chaperone said it was generous of me to call it a parking lot. However, you can park along the road before you turn left to go to Camp Bayou so I'm not going to dock it any stars for that. Everyone who worked there were volunteers and they were all so dedicated. It was like watching grandma and grandpas interact with a bunch of 6 and 7 year olds. They definitely didn't know that they shouldn't ask the group if they had any questions (tons of kids had "questions" that were actually them just saying all the facts they knew about fossils.) The best part was they did a fossil dig where each kid was given a square and had 10 fossils to find. This was pretty generous and the fossils were huge. I'm not sure if the school paid more than our original field trip price, but we paid $10 per kid and chaperones were free. That bag of fossils alone was worth over $10 to our children. The rest of the field trip was walking through two different rooms that had tons of fossils. They also gave a presentation about fossils and dinosaurs (I learned that Florida was underwater when dinosaurs roamed the earth, which is why we don't have any fossils.) I'm mainly giving it five stars for the volunteers. They were so sweet. I actually enjoyed chaperoning this field trip, which is a win for me.

When you start driving down the long country road that leads you to this out of the way county park, you sure are not expecting very much. This is definitely, "The Road Less Travelled". However, once you enter through their unassuming gates you realize their is something pretty dang special going on here. Unspoiled nature... everywhere you look. During the many visits to this park over the years we have seen hawks, gopher tortoises, rattlesnakes, tree frogs, owls, herons, rabbits and even a feral pig. This park has a canoe outpost where you can put into this majestic natural waterway and also offers all kinds of classes, events and other activities. It boasts a butterfly habitat, golf cart tours through the dense forested canopy, a native people's camp, geocaching, and even a little free library. There is also a hidden storybook park where you and your child can walk around and read an entire book just by stopping at the little stations that you find. My daughter has sponsored the Tampa area Save The Frogs Day events here in the past and my wife has taken Florida Master Naturalist classes here to get her certification. This is a county park that has so much to offer its residents. Check it out... you will be so glad that you did!
