I moved to Florida by my junior year and completed my Junior and soon will finish my Senior year here and I'm glad I became an Indian (our mascot). The school atmosphere is amazing and if your child comes here with the determination and grit to do better and get their education, that's what will happen. East Bay seems to be notorious for fights and various altercations, however it's only a small few handful of individuals that cause such chaos. East Bay has deputies on campus for our safety, wholesome lunches, caring and attentive teachers/staff and even more so, fabulous academic connections. I've been able to apply for various scholarships throughout Hillsborough County and there are also scholarships given SPECIFICALLY for East Bay students only. How amazing is that!? The principal Mrs. Cox knows about every single student by name, she's caring and wants the best for her students and staff. Cox has also done a scholarship workshop which has also helped me and various other students with scholarship applications and taught us how to "sell ourselves" in order to earn the money. The assistant principals (AP's) like Mrs. Garcia, Mrs. Cummings, Mr. Gunn and even Mr. Williams are extremely attentive and caring, making sure all students are doing what their supposed to do and making sure their in class. I haven't played a sport at this school, but I have heard great things about football and other sports as well. I've even seen one of my classmates have a signing and going to the school of his dreams for doing what he loves! If you're moving from somewhere or want to transfer your child to a new school, East Bay High School is the place to do so!

Rather than fostering inclusion, the staff engaged in racial discrimination and created an environment where belonging was denied. The administration falsely labeled the student as having "uncontrollable behavioral issues" yet never provided documentation, a behavioral improvement plan, or any effort to partner with the family. Instead of taking the time to support and guide, the school chose to push the student out by unenrolling without care or compassion. Charter schools are supposed to provide opportunity and individualized support. What happened here was the opposite. We got dishonesty, exclusion, and neglect. Families considering this school should be aware: equity, inclusion, and respect are not upheld here.

Bell Shoals Academy…read more(BSA) and the Early Learning Center (ELC) prepared my children socially, academically, and spiritually for their later years. The team at BSA loves the students and truly invests in their future. They partner with the student's parents as they maneuver through the day-to-day growth of the students in their care. My children were well-prepared for college. The discipline they learned in their studies gave them what they needed to succeed in their later studies. All four of my students graduated high school in the top 15% of their class. (public and private) two have graduated college in the top 10%, and two are still in school. I highly recommend this school to others in the area.

It seems like there is nothing but negativity and hatred in his heart. If the school did a student survey to ask if they've ever felt attacked or uncomfortable by Mr. Lucas, 95% of the students would say yes. I really do hope that God finds him because as of right now, it seems like he doesn't have the Gospel in his life, despite working at a Christian school. Learn and Grow has been such a blessing to our family. I adopted my daughter a little over two…read moreyears ago, and choosing a preschool and after-school program where she would feel truly safe, loved, and supported was incredibly important to me. From day one, the staff at Learn and Grow have treated my daughter like family. You can genuinely feel how much they love and care for the children. My daughter wants to be there, which says everything. She attended VPK at Learn and Grow and was well-prepared and confident going into kindergarten, starting right on level. Now that she attends Buckhorn Elementary, I love knowing she has a fun, nurturing place to go after school instead of being stuck in a cafeteria. It gives her something to look forward to every day. I am beyond grateful for the care, dedication, and love the Learn and Grow team shows. They've made a lasting impact on our lives, and I can't recommend them enough.

All the teachers but the one with the glasses and the sweet Cuban lady seem to hate their jobs. My daughter's teacher was inherently lazy; and I caught her several times SCREAMING and cussing out my two year old. When I brought up the problems to the owner, she made a ton of excuses. We had some verbal sparring over the phone; and after I made SEVERAL reports to both the health department AND Hillsborough county, she told me to leave. I had already moved my daughter, so. If you research (which I wish I had done before) there have actually been a ton of complaints filed here over the years. It's obvious the owners are only in it for the money. They don't do a lot of projects with the kids, the food is crap, and everything is incredibly old and dirty. Any time you bring up problems, you get a ton of attitude. One time, I caught a staff member spraying bleach water next to my kid, and I asked her to stop and I got yelled at for it? So I brought it up to the owner and she said it wasn't bleach. It was labeled bleach water and I know what bleach smells like! I was told that my daughter had to wear shorts under her dresses or skirts because "the little boys in the class are curious" where TF are the teachers if the little boys have time to do that? My daughter shouldn't have to change what she wears because the teachers aren't doing their jobs. In addition, I've walked in several times and the kids were by themselves and the teacher was nowhere in sight! Stay away from this place; I wish I had never subjected my daughter to it. I hope it gets shut down.

The staff is tenured, loving, and really know how to engage the kids and genuinely care about them. Any interactions with the administration team have been very professional and pleasant. I know my daughter will be very prepared for Kindergarten after VPK! She is not even in VPK yet and knows all of her letters, sounds, numbers, is writing her name and short words, and most importantly seems like she loves to learn.

I am so proud of the growth of this school that has occurred under our current administration/leadership. They are determined in their commitment and decisive with their strategies to make SJE better than ever. Middle school is tough socially...we all remember that! But the nurturing environment of the middle division helps the kids navigate these adolescent years. The teachers and administration foster the age-appropriate development for the kids, providing increasing autonomy as they advance through the program. Academically, SJE is un-paralleled. The children are challenged and leave prepared for any high school of their choosing.
