While that amount is still within the range of what I've seen elsewhere, the way it changed felt a bit unexpected. I understand my grandfather lives a bit outside Spokane, but I felt that transportation should have been included in the overall quote--especially since I explained from the beginning where the pickup and drop-off locations were. Being told there would be an additional $100 gas or transportation fee seemed excessive, especially for a relatively small move. No hard feelings toward this company; I just want others to be aware of all fees and ask for a clear, final estimate before making a decision. Transparency is important, and it helps everyone feel more comfortable with the service.

It took Justin and Trent 35 minutes to bring my bed up and they even set it up for me. I truly would recommend this company again. They were great to work with!!! My move was cancelled via phone 2 hours before arrival and set for the next day. But what I had booked changed. Instead of 3 men and a big truck, there were only 2 and the smallest truck the company runs. I have at least 3 bedrooms worth of stuff and a full garage. My house is maybe 1/4 moved over and I have to do most of this by myself since the move did not go as planned. I don't think I would book this company again for what happened. This has done nothing but add anxiety to my situation and also my job. I have taken off work to find out my move was cancelled. So, the thing is, that's not time I get back because I used PTO. This is a long review so you can tell I am very disappointed with my service. I thought this was a local service but it's just another chain that doesn't seem to understand how much stress you have added to my life in one week.

You inform this company you are disabled and have one arm in a sling from surgery on a torn rotator cuff. The appointment was set for a certain time on a certain date. You arrive the night before at a hotel in the move to town and call(during regular business hours) to confirm the appointment. All is set and confirmed. You remind them that you can not lift a thing and that you had surgery 3 weeks prior on a torn rotator cuff. They reassured that they would be there. The next morning, you arrive 20 minutes early to the new home. Wait...wait...wait more. 5 minutes after the show time, you call. It immediately goes to voicemail. You wait 10 minutes and call again...voicemail. ok this might happen. You wait 10 more minutes and call again...VOICEMAIL AGAIN. This goes on for 2-3 more times....voicemail. Now, you realize they are avoiding you. They let down a handicapped client! REALLY! So, now I call other local moving companies to get a last minute hire, and they want up to 4x standard rates. I really can't afford that. So, I took off my sling and joined in with my helper. We got the job don, but it took us twice as long to get the job done. Now, when I get home, I have to go back to my doctor as I think I re-tore my rotator cuff. IF I COULD, I WOULD GIVE THIS COMPANY A MINUS 5. They should rename their company to "-5 star moving". !!! We used a Upack trailer to move our two bedroom household from Eastern Washington State to…read moreMaryland. The price was far cheaper than the other options we found. It took us several days to finish packing our home and initially we were a bit intimidated by the size of the trailer and scale of the move. But we packed carefully, used all the space floor to ceiling (12 ft of trailer length), and used a lot of straps and bungies to secure the load. To our delight, all our possessions survived the more than 2,500 mile trip. The Upack staff on both ends of the trip were helpful and accommodating. Overall, communication was reasonable. The staff was a bit easier to work with in-person rather than over the phone. Our snag was that we "blind" moved into a new home and found there was no place to have the Upack trailer delivered (driveway was too small, no road parking nearby). We ultimately rented a Uhaul truck for a day to transfer our possessions from the Upack trailer at the freight facility. This added about $100 to our total, but overall this move was very affordable.
