A friend of mine highly recommended Shiftworks and the mechanic and everyone at the office was incredible in the days following. He was very knowledgeable, and I had a ton of questions which he answered without making me feel stupid or trying to take advantage of me. He really looked into my car and didn't do anything without asking me first and letting me know my options to make the best decision for me - not the most convenient one for him. Jeff is super honest & friendly. He came highly recommended by a tire shop owner I know. Jeff explained what my GMC Envoy needed. I Googled a less expensive alternative to a complete trans rebuild. Jeff said he wouldn't do the alternative because it was only a temporary fix & I'd have the same problem in a few months. He could've taken my money for the alternative, knowing it was only a band-aid, and that I'd be right back for the full rebuild, but was honest enough to tell me no. I took my 2011 Dodge Durango in because I was having some issues that seemed to be related to the transmission and needed to get it looked at and repaired prior to traveling back home to Jax, FL. I spoke with Jeff over the phone before I brought my car in and he was very professional and up front, which is why I decided to bring my car to his shop. I had called some other businesses, but I got a good vibe from Shift Works. After he inspected and drove my car he called me and informed me that he didn't think that my transmission problems had to do with the actual transmission, but more so the AC Condenser. He recommended that I take it to a general repair shop because he only works with Transmissions. Once again, he was very professional and up front, honest. I asked him for a recommendation (because where his shop is located there are about 50-Leven auto repair shops! LOL! There are soooo many auto repair shops on Industrial Way) and he explained that he didn't like giving out recommendations because a lot of the shops are owned by people that are his customers as well. Before leaving he did mention Jam III and gave me their business card. He also informed me that the owner is his wife. I really did appreciate him being honest with me... in the end it saved me a lot of money and stressful days. I highly recommend Shift Works if your car is having some problems that are transmission related. I didn't use his services, however I still had a great experience. I hope that I never have any transmission problems, but if I am ever in the Atlanta area and I am having those issues... You can BET that I will be back to Shift Works! read more

Took our car into a different location to have he AC repaired. When we picked it up we noticed it was not shifting properly. Another mechanic recommended these guys. They called us back with great news. Simple repair and no charge. Very easy to work with. Hopefully I never have transmission issues again, but if I do I will be taking my vehicle here. read more

This place was absolutely amazing. One mechanic at a different place said I would need a whole new transmission, but the guys at Shift Works said it was something completely different. They could have charged me for a transmission fix, but since they're honest and awesome, it ended up only being a belt repair-- which cost way less.
