Oh They've had my car two weeks now…read more  He told me I needed an alternator and a new battery.  Total over $1100 I said ok.  Due to the snow storms we were delayed for two days.  Went back after the storm once he ordered the parts, The car was supposed to be ready.  The battery and alternator was replaced, they kept having me waiting not saying nothing. All to find out the negative wiring cable was severely damaged.  That part is on national back order and we've been looking for it for over a week.   My Pastor referred me to his mechanic and he told me yesterday he had the part and he could fix it.  So I called U Winn and told them I was coming to get the car and take it to the mechanic.  Once I got there my car was parked closely between two cars touching a tree. My floor mats was full of mud my hood light was on but the hood was closed.  As I begin to pull off I stopped to see why the hood light was on.  :Engine cover was just laying there  :Battery cover just laying there :Company notebook just laying there  :Hood latch is offset  : Fluids, running from the reservoir holes  : The housing cover for my air filter was damage.  :Complete wheel cover missing + screws :Driver door scratches that wasn't there! I haven't heard an apology, they didn't take accountability. They didn't try to help me.. The mechanic whose name is John wasn't there on yesterday.  Mr. Winn and his wife and a younger caucasian, boy was looking at the things I named above, Mr. Winn didn't have a clue or no words to say. His wife was noticeably frustrated with his lack of response.  She told me to leave the car and they would take care of it today.. I've been paying for a rental car for two weeks and my car note and car repairs, I feel as if I'm living a nightmare.  The mechanic John who did the repairs just called lying, saying he didn't have to move anything in the area where the leak is sounding like he's trying to clear his mistakes.  He acknowledged he left the things under the hood unattached because he didn't know when I would pick up the car. (Unacceptable still)  They lacked communication with each other and that also proves that they never test drove my car. So today I went back to U Winn auto, the owner Mrs. Winn told me on yesterday that the damage will be rectified today. When I arrived she stated that she was trying to get the parts from the savage yard, she stated Mercedes has the part for over $80 but she didn't pay that. She left me hanging at the shop, got in a black truck and didn't come back. I called the police made a report. I will be taking them to court ASAP! I sent my car in on a two truck and left on one with a paid 0ver $1100.00 bill two weeks of rental car and a damaged vehicle..

While there have been times when I've gone to the dealership for certain repairs (usually when my car was still under manufacturer's warranty)...I have saved thousands of dollars and received quality repairs by visiting Andre's shop. It's true that the location is "out of the way" for city dwellers or anyone who doesn't reside or work on the East side. However, the fact that I can ask any number of questions Or have any number of car issues...and trust that I'm getting truthful, necessary and fair assessments--keeps me coming back to DT Motors regularly. In fact, my previous automobile (KiKi) is one that I drove until the wheels nearly came off :-). KiKi also was a victim of the flooding that happened in Atlanta about 4 or 5 years ago and I was told the car was toast. If you know what it means to "Lay Hands" on your car and pray it starts...well, that's what I was dealing with LOL. Nonetheless, Andre brought KiKi back to life for another couple of years...can't beat that!!! My current car just went off warranty and Andre is once again keeping me safe and maintained on the road. I was referred to DT about 5 years ago and that was one of the best decisions I could have made. Andre patiently listens to your concerns and honestly gives you a diagnosis without trying to over sell or upgrade your price. His prices are VERY reasonable especially compared to the dealer!! and if I did not mention he is a certified BMW, Mercedes technician, so your not getting some shade-tree mechanic. (that's not to say there's no value in that quality of mechanic). I trust DT motors quality of work and professionalism of service so much that all my cars (VW, Toyota and Dodge truck) are brought there for service. Mr. West Saturn repair shop is the place to go. After my 2007 Saturn Vue passenger dash was damaged due to some crazy a$% friend of my daughter's. After taking the car to Chevrolet and them telling me they can fix it, because they no longer make this car. I would have to find a outside source to do the work. I then took the car to a collision shop, where they refused to fix it because the damage is over the airbag. So! There for they said they won't touch. But! The gentleman did tell me he heard of a shop that only specializes on Saturn vehicles. But he couldn't tell me the exact name of the place and where. I was like DAMN DUH!!!!!! But!!!!! I searched and found Mr. West. I gave him a called and then went to see him. Mr. West shop is down a somewhat secluded road with other shops. Once you come down the street, you will see his big red Car SATURN sign. Mr. West was very nice and immediately gave a very good quote on fixing my dash. I was very surprised of the quote, becaifrom the dealership to the collision shop telling me that repair may cost over a thousand dollars. But! Mr. West was half the price. So! I spoke to the owner and told him I was interested in selling a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle. He told me he doesn't buy "pagan" cars. The contradicting and humorous thing is he was willing to do service on a "pagan" car I kindly told him I respect his beliefs and said "be blessed." Everyone has a right to his/her opinion. However, I found the owner to be unprofessional and rude. He did not even introduce himself by name. Power to Promotive for standing up for their beliefs. However, you may want to clearly advertise on your business marquee that you don't buy "pagan" cars, but will take your money and work on a "pagan" car.
