Great atmosphere; small town bar with entertaining owner/bartender! Never had a bad meal!

Food is always good. Have never ever received bad food from the Shiloh. Cindy and Earl have an excellent business.

We've been there three times and the food Is delicious and service Is great. Very friendly owners. Very clean bar and kitchen. Busy every Friday night. Earl is fun. Large portions of fish and reasonably priced. Coleslaw is great. Drinks fantastic. Get there early.

First time in Oconto. Called to place a pickup order and I was told it would be 2 hours. I didn't know it takes that long to make a burger and fries at 4:30PM on a Friday night. Very disappointing. read more

This bar/grill is kept clean and the owner was on site keeping up standards. Lots of nostalgia and a beautiful back bar. We stopped there for a little refreshment and some lunch. We started with a cup of chili. Chili can be hard to please a lot of people but I think they found a good balance between a bland and burn your face off. As Goldie Locks would say, "this was just right". And no noodles are added as filler either. My wife had the open face burger with tomatoes and peppers added. She said it was an excellent burger. Earl, the owner, says the hand patty the burgers to order. I had the grilled chicken salad and it was nicely chopped and flavorful. We will be back when in the area again. Well, it's certainly homey! Homey as in you're literally entering a couple's home. I wouldn't have minded the atmosphere had it not been for the van seat and old clothes next to our table. For about $7 a plate you have your choice of mediocre bar food that comes straight out of their freezer. The chicken tenders were of the same quality as the McDonald down the road, but this place has something else going for it: booze. CHEAP beer & CHEAP liquor. Where else can you get $1 Jell-O shots? Come for the bar, not the bar food. read more

Staying in Oconto for a week and had to try this place out as it was across the street from our hotel. Walked in and wasn't impressed. Couple of arcade games, 50 cent pool table and cheap alcohol. I was immediately greeted by Earl who was apparently the owner who loosely introduced me to his wife and old friend, Mouse. Everybody was very friendly and I felt totally welcome. Bought a round of shots including Earl and he returned the generosity with a round of beers! Mouse was so nice he said he'd make me some chicken gizzards and if I didn't like em he wouldn't charge me for it and proceed to eat them himself lol Ordered cheese curds, which were hand battered, and had the ribeye steak sandwich. It looked small and was on white toast but it was medium rare as I ordered and it was fantastic. Super flavorful and cooked perfectly. Come to find out Earl's wife Cindy cooks everything to order. She personally stated there are very few pre made items in their kitchen specifying the pizza crust but that all of the toppings are freshly prepared. I also had pizza the next day and exactly as imagined, bland crust but toppings were plentiful. Thick crust better than thin crust but just a bad frozen crust. Earl, family, and everyone there make this place feel like you belong. very courteous and great to talk to. The food is great and it's the only place I found with clam strips. Burgers and tenderlion sandwiches are great. Have fun too with the occasional karaoke. read more

Typical Wisconsin bar. Mouse the bartender/cook treated us right. The owner was a cool dude and loved jamming to Jonny Cash on the juke box. Food was good but nothing over the top. I'd go back if I was ever in town again! read more
