Most of the tables were taken and the bar stools were all full up. Three staff members were runnin' the show. Two behind the bar and one working the flat top. They admitted they were understaffed and were trying their best to keep up. I appreciated their honesty and they did a terrific job! Hard work and honesty go a long way. The burgers were delicious and the bier was ice cold. That's all I need. We will be back.

The menu is basic but complete, with the usual north woods staples. I ordered the smoked special with pork. It was a nice crusty bun loaded with pork. Cole slaw, beans, and deep fried corn on the cob completed the plate. I never thought of deep frying corn on the cob, but it was very tasty. The place was busy on an early Saturday afternoon, and there was only one server working the dining room. She was hustling and the kitchen was jumping so the wait wasn't bad. I will mention that the place is for sale, and the owners are looking to step back after 38 years. It's a good place and we're looking forward to coming back on a Sunday for chicken dinner!
