Unfortunately, beyond those basic services, I have very little positive to say about my experiences. The front desk staff have consistently been unhelpful and often come across as though they don't genuinely care about the animals or their owners. My experiences with the veterinarian have been equally disappointing. The focus has often felt more centered on selling medications and prescription food than finding practical, long-term solutions. On multiple occasions, when one of my pets simply needed a few extra minutes to get comfortable, I was told, "I don't have time to deal with this." That lack of patience and compassion is difficult to overlook. To make matters worse, any services beyond routine care are significantly more expensive than other veterinary clinics in the area. Most recently, I took my dog in for a visit, and he ended up with fleas. While frustrating, these things happen. I requested flea medication and was told there would be a five-business-day wait. I then placed an order through Chewy, which only required the clinic's approval. Chewy confirmed that Nordahl Pet Clinic received the authorization request on Monday. By Thursday evening, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called the clinic. Initially, they acted as though they had no record of the request, and the call was disconnected. When I called back, they suddenly located it but told me it would take another three to five business days just to approve the prescription. The experience left me feeling as though approving prescriptions through Chewy was a much lower priority than having customers purchase the medication directly from the clinic. After years of bringing my pets here, I'm disappointed that this has been my experience. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this clinic based on the care and customer service I've received. I hope this feedback encourages the clinic to improve its communication and customer service so future clients have a better experience.

After years of being bent over by our local Vet, we finally made the decision to seek out a new Doctor for our pups...(should have done it years ago...) I read the great reviews of El Norte Vet Clinic and even though it was a little drive, we decided to give it a try.... Making an appointment was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful We had high expectations of Dr Sherman and he definitely didn't disappoint... He greeted us, then actually sat on the floor and hung out with our pups to put them at ease while he examined them... You can tell he actually loves animals, it's not all about the mighty dollar like it is with most Vets, including our former Vet..... We had exams, vaccines, and some RX for way below the prices we were used to paying.... If you're thinking about changing Vets, visit El Norte Vet Clinic, you won't be disappointed.....Your only regret will be you didn't switch to Dr Sherman way before... Highly, Highly Recommend! We had already lost our family dog a few months ago, so my mom was struggling, and I was doing everything I could to help my parents through this while juggling their schedule and my own stress. When I called, my first question was simply whether the clinic offers euthanasia for cats. The representative actually scoffed and sounded offended at the question before answering "yes", which was bizarre, considering that's a standard service at a vet clinic. When I tried to explain our situation, she cut me off and told me they didn't have availability until the following Wednesday. I had actually been considering this clinic for my other cat and dog, but after this interaction, I can't trust them with my pets' care. If this is how they treat someone who is losing a beloved pet, I don't want to imagine how they'd handle other stressful situations. A little compassion goes a long way, especially in this line of work. Please reconsider how your staff talks to grieving pet owners.

From the front desk staff to the techs and doctors, everyone was able to explain and figure out what was going on with my dog's paw and help us put a game plan in place to best treat his diagnosis. My dog Mousse suddenly lost the use of his back legs (IVDD), and time was critical. I spent last week calling dozens of vets for pricing. On Thursday afternoon, I called this hospital and was quoted $5,000-$9,000 for the MRI and surgery. I asked specifically whether that price included both the MRI and the surgery, because every hospital in LA had quoted me $14,000-$15,000, and I was told yes. I also asked, explicitly, if a neurologist could see him that night if I arrived before 8pm. I was told yes, they were on call until 8. So I took a three-hour Uber with my paralyzed dog, trusting he'd be cared for on arrival. I got there at 7pm. They checked him in. Fifteen minutes later I was told the neurologist was NOT coming that night, he'd be seen "in the morning." Then I was told the actual cost would be $15,000, not the $5,000-$9,000 I was quoted hours earlier. No reasonable person drives three hours each way with a paralyzed dog to pay the same price quoted at home, the only reason I made that trip was the quote they gave me. When I asked them to pull the recorded call to verify what I'd been told, I was informed no one could access the recording until Monday, and that someone would follow up. No one ever did. I had to call them myself a full week later (today) at which point I was told the call "wasn't recorded," despite their phone system announcing that calls may be recorded. When I escalated, the supervisor admitted that the front desk should never have quoted me prices at all and that she could not confirm what I was actually told on that call. To make it worse: the only thing offered that night was an ER exam I didn't need, my dog had already been evaluated by two ER vets that week. I came for a neurologist. During that exam, when I expressed concern that Mousse was in obvious pain I had to ask for pain medication for my suffering dog. I took another three-hour Uber home with nothing resolved. Between the inaccurate quote, the neurologist who was promised and never showed, the "unrecorded" call, and the complete lack of follow-up, this was one of the most emotionally draining experiences of an already devastating week. I would never recommend this place to anyone who loves their animal. Imani and Mousse

At 18 years old, he underwent chest tumor surgery twice, and both times the staff went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. As Milo got older, we knew our time with him was becoming limited. When we had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye, every member of the staff treated both Milo and our family with incredible kindness, patience, and gentleness. They made one of the hardest days of our lives a little easier to bear. A week and a half later, my husband and I are still struggling with the loss of him. Village Vet has been there for us through some of Milo's biggest challenges and through his final goodbye. Their compassion, professionalism, and genuine love for animals are unmatched. We will be lifelong customers, and we cannot recommend Village Vet highly enough. Thank you for loving and caring for Milo as if he were your own. We will never forget it.
