    This review is coming from the fact that Dan decided to take a shot at me over text so I'd like you guys to know the kind of person he is and the kind of business he is running. I reached out to Dan from a friend referral because the bad storms we get in phoenix turn our pools green. I told him about my situation and was very responsive and tentative to helping us out. Ryan came out quickly to do an evaluation on the pool and it needed some work. Filters hadn't been cleaned, needed a drain, etc. Overall cost was 646$. I even tipped Ryan on the Side $100 for coming out over the holiday weekend!!!! (November 24). Then I informed Dan I'd like to start a monthly service which he told me was $110/month starting 12/11. I informed Dan that I would like to continue services even though I had to move to the Gulf Shores so I had a tenant move in. This is where it began to turn to crappy service, I don't think my pool was up to parr with his standards or the fact that I was gone, I'm not entirely sure. But I started to get multiple invoices for different number multiple times in the month. I reached out to Dan and he had told me I was past due but every invoice I had clicked on in my email said "Paid". I asked him to send me an itemized breakdown of the charges but these were charges I did not authorize. He of course was trying to upsell me on stuff and the only other separate invoice I should have had was 110$ for filter clean which I told him I did not want to do a second time, and to let me know before hand if they did anything extra on top of the monthly service which is 100% why I'm considered "late" in his eyes. Now the invoices I'm going to attach were twice a month for different costs which made no sense to me so instead of arguing with Dan I paid both invoices separately and asked him when he could resume the services. He never responded to me and my tenant asked me where they have been because the last time they serviced the pool was 1/29. So from 12/11-1/29 would be 220$ correct? No I got three separate invoices for 233.32, 239.18, and 225.18. So monthly total of 697.68? This happened in December as well. And then they sent more in February after not coming out to do the service. Now after all this confusion, I reach out again to Dan asking what's going on and he told me that accounts after 30 days passed due are suspended. I'm thinking okay cool let me just catch this up for whatever reason he needs to come back and service the pool, but absolutely not he said he filled my spot instead. These text conversations will be posted here so you can see there was no communication of a cancellation of service- but wait I got a demand for payment from Dan personally on 2/21. Saying "Service is suspended until payments are made. We do accept credit cards." So where is the cancellation Dan? I have an email thread of him saying what was due and it sure wasn't what he had told me. So today my response from him was "Unprofessional? How late was i with the service? You asked on the phone if i has stop service and i told you we had. We serviced the pool on time, can you say that about payments? Service is suspended, stopped, canceled however you wish to phrase it. Good bye!" After I questioned him on how confusing the invoices were, after I paid him all of the money for all invoices, and asked him why he was avoiding my questions. I did tell him this was unprofessional because it is. No notice of cancellation but "give me my money" type attitude is crazy without explanation. Some response from an owner of a company. Instead of talking with me about business and how to figure this out he really just didn't seem to care and I personally don't want someone like this around my house anyways. Now I know Dan is going to hop on here and try to make me sound stupid because I didn't understand invoices, but simple matter is nobody deserves to be treated that way, regardless of the situation, be a man of your word and own it, and if a customer is confused maybe take a second to help them understand what is happening. Instead of belittling them saying "well I was never late but you were". Crazy that I have to write this but it's best everyone knows this dude has a snotty attitude and will cancel you without explanation. Sure Dan maybe I was late on something but instead of sending a bunch of invoices that say paid - help a paying customer out, can't come on here saying you don't have your money because you do buddy! Best of luck to you pissing customers off. Also live update he serviced my pool for 1.5 months and it's already back to green! Picture attached as of 3/11. So all these 1 star reviews of them just throwing shock in and not testing waters, YOU'RE RIGHT. Find someone else.

During the initial months, their service was outstanding. At their recommendation we had them replace multiple components to our system. Their initial performance resulted in me writing a five star review on Yelp. In the past year, their service for us had deteriorated significantly. I contacted management multiple times regarding various issues. I complained when they replaced a very competent service technician with an individual who was marginal at best. After several months, he was replaced by another individual who was only minimally better. During the early months of our contract, Fowler's agreed to clean our water feature filter two times per month at no charge. Recently we noticed a reduction in the flow from the waterfall for our water feature and asked the technician to clean the filter. He replied "I'll do it next week". Several days later the water flow stopped altogether. This resulted in another call to management who subsequently informed me that the two times per month cleaning of the filter had not been done for the past five months. He then told me that they were no longer honoring their previous commitment and would only clean the filter every four months with a cost to us of more than $200. If additional cleanings were needed, we would be charged an additional fee. At that point, I decided to look for other vendors. The two that I interviewed both said that the water feature was full of algae. This was without any prompting by us. I contracted with a new vendor who cleaned the water feature filter and removed the algae. The time to clean the filter was seven minutes. To jeprodize a very lucrative contract for a seven minute task makes me question Fowler's business expertise. In retrospect, after spending over $13,000 with Fowler's in less than two years, I realize that they were not the company for us. I gave them more chances than most and they failed to perform to my expectations. I now know why they have recently received poor Yelp ratings from other individuals.     The owner of this company, Rod, got right back to me within minutes. I was a little panicked…read morebecause my pool wasn't operating properly and I was about to have a large pool party. Despite the fact it was after hours (evening before the party), Rod actually spent 20 minutes with me via FaceTime to diagnose the problem, assist me with repairing a valve and priming a pump. He provided me with specific instructions and he was able to get everything working again all via FaceTime. HE DIDNT CHARGE ME ANYTHING! He was sympathetic to my time critical situation, and he genuinely wanted to be helpful. He would not accept any money despite my insistence. You just don't see this type of authentic integrity anymore. Excellent work ethic, extremely knowledgeable, quick response, and he didn't feel right charging me simply because he wasn't there in person. The FaceTime instruction was extremely educational and his thorough step-by-step guidance was spot on. He was very patient with me. Other companies said it would be $475 just to come out and take a look. This is the only company I will use for all my future pool service needs. Hard to find people like Rod these days. They did a fantastic job and answered all my questions while here, even going so far as to explain all the parts and operation of the sand filter midway through the process.     Service started off fine. Sure there are missed services here and there, sometimes with…read morenotification, sometimes without. Priced competitively and Matthew Hall was friendly and sent service reports every time he would visit. When he would miss a service in summer, the pool would grow algae and then he would charge me for the algaecide that was needed due to his missed service. About 4-5 months ago, service started being more sporadic. He often wouldn't notify me he was going to miss service. Recently, he went to the pay per visit model with chemicals not included. So when he missed a visit, he shouldn't charge you, right? He still did, and I had to ask for the days to be taken off the next invoice. Chemicals are expensive, I get it. But the pool service when from $100 to $135-160 per month. And now he has stopped all communication and has not shown up for service in 2 weeks with no notifcation. I would not recommend Matthew's service. There are plenty of other services in the valley, stay away from this one. The company is now called Triple P LLC.

We called Shasta Pools, Presidential Pools & Spas, and California Pools & Landscape to schedule an onsite consultation. Shasta Pools never contacted us, but we did get a call to schedule an onsite appointment with both Presidential Pools and California Pools for Friday, June 30, 2023. On the same day, I met with Karin Tierney (Backyard Design Specialist) from Presidential Pools and Christian Pierre (Designer) from California Pools. After the initial visit (June 30th), I never heard back from Karin Tierney of Presidential Pools, not one follow up or anything. Christian from California Pools immediately emailed me two days later with images for ideas and started creating our paradise oasis. Christian Pierre was professional, engaged, listened to our stories and dreams, asked us open-ended questions and his communication was excellent. Within a week, Christian presented us a video of the first pool designed. We made some minor changes and then he presented us the final video that turned our vision into a digital paradise oasis. I couldn't believe it, the video was literally what we visioned and dreamed, but the cost was above what we expected. We reminded ourselves, "You only live once." If this home is going to be our last, we don't want any regrets or future projects later, lets do this project right one last time. We said, "Let's Go!" We confirmed the project with California Pools and shortly after, we were introduced to Stephen Dreher (Lead Construction Manager). Stephen was a gentleman, very easy to talk to, a great listener, and a professional who follows through with action. Demolition started February 2024. Throughout the 2024 year, various construction teams came in to do their part of the project. Stephen kept in touch with me weekly with updates and seeking any questions from me. He was ALWAYS available via text, phone calls and in person. We made some changes during the project and Stephen was on top of processing Change Orders and updating the construction teams. Neighborhoods are made up of many types of people, and even with HOA approvals and city permits, you will find out which neighbors enjoy complaining and making it known that they are not happy people. No worries though, with Stephen's professional confidence and patience, he presented himself to these neighbors to answer any questions or address their concerns. Once he made himself available to these party poopers, the complaints lessened. After 12 months of construction, the pool project came to an end February 2025. I have to admit that making the decision to have California Pools & Landscape take on this project was one of the best decisions we ever made. The entire team that makes California Pools operate are ALL professionals and experts at what they do. The third party construction teams that work with California Pools were all professionals, execute precision work, and clean up their work when done. Stephen Dreher was in communication with all third party teams. Having the pool of our dreams seen on a video and built in our very own backyard is a dream come true. California Pools has converted our beautiful backyard (Casita Talasera) to "The Happiest Place On Earth." I will never say it enough though, THANK YOU Stephen Dreher for standing by our side from start to finish. Thank you for your honesty. Thank you for representing California Pools with pride and dedication. Even though Stephen loves California Pools and loves what he does, he always puts the customer first. I will honestly miss the daily/weekly interactions with Stephen, and his professional character.
