But today I had an interaction that will keep me a customer for as long as I'm in San Angelo--I came by after an oil change because the auto shop splattered oil all over the place--but I also had a roof rack in place at the moment. I asked the gentleman if I could bring it through with the rack, and he asked the other gentleman to speak with me about it (who I believe he said was the manager or owner). He had long curly hair, pretty big guy. I didn't catch his name. Anyways, when I mentioned my two concerns (oil and roof rack), he explained that while he hasn't seen an issue with a rack since working there (10 years), he obviously could not take the liability on that (understandable!) but that since oil was sprayed accidentally, he recommended I get an undercarriage wash at a certain touchless car wash place in town to clean up the oil & also ensure no issue with roof rack. He was so kind and the fact he was willing to give up a sale in the moment to ensure my car got the attention it needed is why I'll be back to this car wash exclusively (aside from oil and roof racks in the future lol!)

He asked me where I worked and I told him I worked at a cooking oil process facility and a printing company. I intentionally neglected to mention that I worked at a Toyota Mazda dealership for 3 years and my brother-in-law was also used car salesman for 15 years. I know the ins-and-outs of the used car business but I didn't want him to know that. First we took a new vehicle out for a test drive it was a Mitsubishi Outlander. And we told him that we were also interested in a Toyota RAV4. And he had a used one on the lot and we took it out for a test drive. That's when my wife decided that she liked the Toyota RAV4. So when we got back he asked us about our car that we had. It was a 2006 Ford Focus we've had since new. I told him it was approaching 100,000 miles and that's when he said "once a car hit 100,000 miles the value droppes dramatically". I was wondering what BS line he was going to give us to screw us out of money on a trade in. That line goes back to the mid-1990s. So we went test drove a new Toyota RAV4. And we eventually bought a 2015 RAV4 out of town. Low miles great price. I think people are sick and tired of the old ways of buying a vehicle and especially with the trade in BS they tell you so they won't give you much money on a trade in.

Prices are drastically different, and customer service is condescending and often opportunistic with silly "inspection fees." Then there are the complete rip-offs that lack diagnostic abilities and should not be in business. I spoke with Jesse, who is honest, knows his business well, and doesn't need to resort to price gouging or surprise inspection fees. They repaired the car quickly and consulted with me before costing me a penny. Jesse gave me reasonable options and stood by his quote. He gave me an excellent detailed quote for repairs I will also need in the future. I'll never take my car to any other shop in West Texas.

Didn't matter since I was waiting to get mine washed next. There is a building in front of the exit of the automatic touchless wash that will have a countdown timer at the top of how long the dryer is blowing for. With this being my first time, I didn't notice it at first as I was looking all around me on what to do next since those lights near the exit never lit up to Go, Stop, etc. Giving it 3 stars because of how confusing it was for a first timer. First off, we took our car to Ray for a lot of parts on our vehicle. We replaced the fuel pump,…read moretransfer pump, pigtail, all of our fuel injectors & our car still broke down. We've contacted him asking what else we could all do & no respons. We ended up taking our car to the dealership instead to see what was going on with it afterwards, turns out the fuel pump that was put in was aftermarket & shitty ... the wiring was also put in incorrectly for the fuel pump. I watched them take my engines cover off to see the bolts come right off which could've caused more damage to my car by not being put back in properly. We asked if he could take the fuel pump back that he gave us & he continued to argue with us about it instead. Said the fuel pump had a warranty & we still have the old one to this day. I wouldn't waste any $ here as no one is considerate or know how to treat customers. Spent thousands here for my car just to get denied any refunds. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I wish we could give 0 stars. If anyone goes here please make sure you know where your parts are coming from & get receipts!!!
