We came back from a week at the beach and my car needed help, bad! I took it to Kwik Kar and paid $56 for basically a super vac and wash. I came back, got the car and went to get gas. Thought I'd check out the back end of my suv while pumping the gas. I don't think they even raised the back end. The sand was still everywhere! So, I called them and they said bring it back. I did and waited 30 minutes. Stupidly, I left without checking it but I figured 30 minutes just for a back end it had to be good. WRONG!!! They vacuumed the carpet area but the side panels were still covered in sand. I spent 15 more minutes cleaning it myself. Terrible service! I will never go there again. read more

Went in for state inspection. Waited 1 and a half hours. Then they gave our insurance paperwork to the wrong person. Had to make a second trip to pick up our paperwork after it was returned to the store by the other customer. Would strongly recommend never using them again. read more

Unbelievably bad experience. Prices not posted outside or inside. I got a standard oil change oh a 4 door sedan and when I paid out they charged me $124. I talked to the manager and asked why it was so high and he said oil cost had increased. I was livid that they did not have up-front costs posted. I had an oil change done 2 days ago at Shine Brite and it was $74. Same oil. Same service. But quick and efficient and friendly. Choose wisely my friends. read more

The quality of customer service at this place has gone significantly down hill in the last six months. The lady at the front desk is rude and unhelpful. The type of service and attention to detail that once was provided is no longer, they can not even remember to put the sticker on for your oil change. We have visited this place four times in the last six months hoping it would improve and return to the high quality service it once was however that has not happened and we will not be returning as customers. read more

I got an oil change of Mobil 1 full synthetic at Kwik Kar and they charged me $234.00. That is MORE than $100.00 over the price anywhere else for the same oil. The manager said that Mobil Corp. had doubled their costs of oil. I checked at WalMart and the price of Mobil 1 was $45.00 for 5 gallons. On top of the gross overcharge, when I got home I noticed the car had much more valve noise than before, the oil does not smell or feel like Mobil 1 (I have been using Mobil 1 exclusively for more than 40 years). Been going there about 2 years,last went 3 months ago oil change was 56.00, went today charged 93.00. Prices are NOT listed outside but are listed at register. When I asked about the increase was told price of oil increased LOL. Customer service was a joke,was almost impossible to get a printed receipt was then told by one of the employees that I didnt pay his wages and that I should pretty much STFU. I dont know where he thinks the business gets the money to pay them. I used to bring my car here all the time, but this will be the last time. I got my oil changed and paid extra for the people's choice wash so they would clean the inside a little. When my car came off the line, he dried it and polished the tires. Nobody vacuumed it and nobody wiped down any of the interior. I asked one of the guys if that was supposed to be covered with the extra fee and he said yes but didn't offer to make it right. I left but got more frustrated the more I thought about the extra $15 I paid. I called and explained the situation to the gentleman that answered the phone and his response was, "I'll let them know." We've been coming to Kwik Kar Lube & Wash since recently moving here and I greatly appreciate their friendly and helpful customer service. I like the ease of going to one place in town and getting many different things done at once. We've gotten oil changes, our cars washed, a state inspection, and they've also checked my SUV before road trips. I like taking advantage their deal: get an oil change and receive two free car washes, that I can use anytime. Also, if you're military like us, they offer a discount. You can also bring your kids because while you wait, there's an indoor lobby with TV's, free popcorn and drinks, and a small play area in the back for the children. Our kids actually enjoy going here! Recently, I witnessed a customer become irate and throw a fit with one of the car wash employees. Apparently, after the car was washed and detailed, the customer was not happy with the work that the employee did. While I am picky as to how my car is detailed, I do believe that if you want it done a particular way, you can either stand over the employee and tell him in exact detail how you want it done. Or, you can do it yourself. I usually prefer to detail my own car because I spend hours cleaning it to make it the way I want. In this case, I think it was totally unnecessary for this man to take out his frustrations on these guys that truly make the effort to provide quality customer service in a small window of time. Got a car wash yesterday 9-3-11 and my left front wheel were damaged. Kwik Kar was the first place I went to from my apartment. The wheels were scratched when I dropped it off. I told the manager and he told it wasn't damaged because the direction that it was damage show was that car had to be in reverse and that had yellow rubber to protect the wheels on the rails whereas the scuff showed black. When I drop the car off, there was no scratch and now there's damage to the wheels which cost me $200+. I knew I should've taken a picture before taking it there for insurance. I've been coming here for years with my 04 Galant and now 2010 Lancer RA. I usually come here to get a Mobil 1 synthetic oil change now I have to go get the wheels repaired or replaced. Thanks came in for the free car wash now have to go spend money to get the wheels replaced. The manager tried to cover his behind which is sad because a complaint will always carry over to 10 plus people. I hope karma gets you back. They stole my wallet, I went to get my oil changed for my vehicle, I had been a loyal customer and I had left my purse in my car by accident and my wallet was gone when I had gotten back home. Right after my oil change I went home to make a payment and my wallet was not in there. I called and asked and all they said was that there was nothing they could do about it. I know for sure I had left my wallet in my purse and they were not helpful in finding it. Overall I would not recommend coming here because on a chance your wallet could be stolen too, or other personal items! read more

I have a very small car and paid for a $40 detail. They did a decent job on my exterior wash although they didn't even touch my backside of the car. My rear window wasn't even done and my trunk area was not vacuumed or cleaned. It was empty so there's no excuse, I emptied out my entire car for them. They did the most mediocre job on my interior. SO many spots they missed and didn't even touch!! I'm convinced they didn't vacuum my interior or they did with a clogged up one because the crevices were still dirty!! No attention to detail. This is the most shitty cleaning job I've ever gotten!!! Don't bother, makes me so angry to have wasted my money!!! My family lives in San Angelo and I always get my car washed here when I'm in town (about once a month). They do a fantastic job. So when my husband was in town too, I highly recommended he get a car wash as it's so much better than any I've found in the Ft. Worth area. Boy, did I have egg on my face. First, cost for the full car wash (don't remember what it's called - maybe people's choice) used to be $20. Now it's $22. That's okay for an excellent service. We were second in line (behind my dad), so they weren't crowded at all. Once they were finished, husband had to get them to touch up on the tail gate area, but I was inside drinking coke and eating the yummy popcorn. When I got in the pickup, I was shocked. They did nothing except vacuum. The dash and gauge area/control system was covered in dust. They didn't clean out the cup holders or anything else on the console. They did not touch anything else inside the vehicle. I wanted him to go back inside and ask them to re-do the inside. We'd already been there so long that he didn't want to take more time. Not sure why it took so long when they basically did nothing inside. No armor all either. It was a big waste of money. I won't go back next time I'm in town. Unfortunately, he tipped the detail man $5 before he saw the poor job inside. read more

I'll start with the positives...I always get a very good car wash here and they have free beverages (tea, coffee and fountain drinks) and fresh popcorn. Now, for today's visit... I knew it would be busy because it's a beautiful Saturday & people are out and about. However, when I pulled up, there was only one car in front of me, so I thought it wouldn't take very long. I came into pay and was dismayed to discover that the air freshener is no longer a part of the car wash. You have to pay extra for it. An hour has now gone by and no sign of my car. I walked outside a while ago and my car was behind the building in line, I thought, to the car wash. They also do oil changes here and it seems that the cars here just for a wash take second place to those getting an oil change. You would think they could work out a system where they take one from each line... Change batteries in the car wash one, in rotation. My advice to you is to look not just at the car wash line, but the oil change lines as well. read more

I have been taking my 4Runner to Kwik Kar wash for oil changes since I purchased it in 2011. Always costs around $65 because of needing 6.6 quarts. This time, as usual, I am told there is small upcharge for synthetic oil... nothing different. Until I get my bill for $113. I ask for explanation and am told new management is off so I come back Monday. Am told upcharge is additional $58. Manager stated he could not change price because oil was already in my engine. This was my first visit here. It was a busy Saturday and I came for an oil change. Pulled up 3rd in line. Was quickly greeted and when I asked how long it would take I was told 25-30 min. I left and came back an hr later and it was moved to a different line....still 3rd! A bit pissed at this point so I asked again (nicely) and the guy said 25min. Went to lunch and came back and it had just been finished. Checked out (to the tune of $52) , got in the truck and realized the floor mat was missing! So had to walk back over to get it. Glad I checked! Long story short the people were nice but it took a 1 1/2 hrs to get an oil change (w/o a wash) that was overpriced. Will not be back!! read more

The best car wash in San Angelo

My first time here... Now the one positive was that ONCE it got attended after it went through the tunnel, the guy took his time on it. Besides that, it sat waiting outside the tunnel for a good 5/10 minutes in direct sunlight. Once attended it was still in direct sunlight. The rags were horrible and hit the ground and they were still used on the body of my truck. Basically a hour plus wait for a $10 wash job when I paid $25. And it wasn't busy either. read more

Took my 2011 SS Camaro in for a wash and got an awesome detail!!! The management/ employees were so nice and welcoming, and plus there was free drinks and free popcorn! Also it is right next to Tinseltown and has some great food locations near i would say that it is in the right place. Definitely going back again!! I have never gotten a very good car wash or inside cleaning here, but I have been a steady customer for years because of the nice facilities while waiting for my oil change. But as of 3/20/18, I will NEVER go back. When they finished with the very poor wash job, I discovered that the paint on the hood of my vehicle had been chipped off in 3 different places. I have a dark colored Jeep and it is VERY obvious. When I brought it to their attention, they said there was nothing they could do. Don't waste your time or money here! read more

Terrible service! They knew he has a touch of Alzheimers! They told him to come in and see them. He charged my Dad who is older $216.00 dollars. He does not have a diesel, so oil changes should NEVER be that expensive and the manager argue with me on the phone because she knew she took advantage of him!!!
