They treat my kids as if they were their own and genuinely care about their well being. They do a variety of activities outside, arts and crafts and expose them to a variety of foods instead of having the same meals every day. They update you through the app for every time they change their diaper, every meal they eat and every nap they take. They also upload lots of pictures and videos throughout the day which makes it that much better to see the little ones! My only complaint is the price which is fairly expensive but I guess you can't put a price on quality care of your child and knowing they are in safe hands.

Everytime i go pick him up, other teachers who aren't his teacher say hi to him and call him by name... i think it shows what a good , close knit intertwined community they have there... they seem to all know all of the kids. I absolutely adore the pictures they take and send on the kinder app. I look forward to them so much during my work day and it brightens my shift so much. They're always incredibly responsive when i send messages on the app also. We had a spot open up at my husband's job's onsite daycare that we had waited for for a long time and ended up declining it because we could see how much the consistent caregivers and community my son has gotten used to there was important to us and my son's development. Here are the reasons we LOVE TLC: 1. Small class sizes (just like we had at our private school) 2. Feeling of welcoming, one big family! 3. Because of TLC's Gardening classes with Farmer Mark, the kids have created our own garden in our yard. They educate my husband and I :) 8. Teachers recognize each child's learning level. 9. My middle schooler commented that without the Tutoring Club teachers, he'd have a very difficult understanding the math concepts taught to them in class. The various assessments helped identify strengths as well as areas for improvement. Lydia, who manages the program, is extremely smart, kind and gives regular and honest feedback about how the students are doing. This has helped us as parents to look out for areas we should focus on to help our student.

She is loving and no nonsense at the same time. That's the best combination of you ask me. The teachers who care and push you to be better at what you do. Before the transition to the Toddler program Mrs. Sheikh paused and ended up recommending a different teacher instead of the originally assigned teacher. She took the time to consider my son's personality and thought about whose teaching style would best suit him and allow him to thrive. This really speaks volumes to the amount of care and thought that goes into each stage of your child's journey at LePort. My son is currently in Ms. Arzate's toddler class. I wanted to take a moment to recognize her and thank her for all that she does. She not only educates our children, but us parents as well, similar to Mrs. Sheikh. The moment that I appreciated the most is when I came in complaining about everything that my son was doing "wrong" and she stopped me and had me reflect on what I was saying in front of my child. During the moment, I wanted to cry and felt like in some way I had failed my son as a Mom. This honest moment, helped me step back and re-evaluate my interactions with my son. I didn't want him to feel bad like he was always doing something wrong, when in fact he's doing really great. I want him to know that I see his progress and that I am really proud of him and that he should be proud of himself. The next day, on the way to pick up our son, my husband and I were talking about my husband's concerned about wet events in public. I thought about the conversation that I had with Ms. Arzate. I said to him that this may be a year long journey and we can't keep our son exclusively at home or school for a full year. I reminded him that originally our son wasn't going to start night potty training until 6-8 weeks of daytime potty training. At two weeks into daytime potty training, Ms. Arzate's already felt that he was ready to start night time potty training. It was quite the accomplishment and I wanted us to recognize that. We ended taking our son out for dinner and at the end of the meal, my son stopped what he was doing and started to say "pee pee". He held it in until I could rush him to the car and peed in his travel potty. Later, before bed, he got up to go to the bathroom. I expected him to wait for me in the hallway or bathroom in the dark. However, he got up on the stool, turned on the bathroom lights then sat and peed in the potty without being prompted. The culmination of all the hard work by the teachers is starting show through. I am in awe and incredibly grateful for the teachers and staff at LePort of the wonderful work they do to prepare our children for the future. Don't let the older facility look fool you into going somewhere that looks newer. It's the teachers, staff and community that make LePort an amazing place that you can trust to send your child.

Our son recently started in Ms. Gallo's toddler class and is absolutely thriving! We were able to…read moredo a meet & greet before starting which helped him officially put a face to his teacher's name. Ms. Gallo was very informative during the meet & greet and helped eased a lot of my anxieties putting him into a new environment. When he officially started, Ms. Gallo would call and gave updates on how he was doing. Every day after class, she would let us know how his day went and continued to reassure that things would get better. Our son took to her right away. She has been warm, empathetic, and observant of his needs. Over the past couple months, our son has begun to really thrive! He is more confident in himself and very independent. He has taken the skills that he's learned in school and has started generalizing to home. He grabs his plate and utensils when it's meal time. He cleans up after himself when he's done eating. He uses the potty, cleans up, and washes his hands independently. His speech has grown exponentially. He went from speaking in simple sentences with improper grammar and pronoun usage to speaking in complex sentences. It is apparent that his language abilities are really being fostered in class. It is amazing how much he's grown in such a short amount of time. He talks about his friends daily and tells me how much he loves Ms. Gallo. We are so happy that Ms. Gallo is our first teacher and so excited to see how much he'll continue to grow.
