I messaged a hairdresser at this salon (Tiara Rodarte) because I know her personally, and thought I…read morecould trust her to do what I had in mind. I sent her reference photos and she said it was totally doable, and she could get me in right before my trip so I was stoked on that. I've attached photos of what I was wanting - and what I ended up with. See below. So what I ended up with was not terrible, but nowhere near what I asked for and what I was assured she could do. She offered to fix it at the salon on her next available day, and I told her respectfully I do not want her to touch my head ever again. Or anyone else in the salon for that matter. Flustered, I paid the bill, tipped well because that's what you do, and hoped we could talk later and figure something out. Because it was getting uncomfortable and I was so mortified with how it looked I just wanted to leave. Tiara explained to me that this process would require me lightening (bleaching) the ends where I wanted to have the purple. This made me nervous as I have never bleached my hair, and at this point I had 100% virgin hair, having cut 19 inches off about a year prior. So the plan was to use an all over dark ashy brown, close to my natural color so that when it began to grow out/ fade it would look more natural and less drastic. Fast forward a day or so, I'm in contact with Tiara about getting my money back. She's telling me that just isn't an option, because she offered to fix it. I told her I'm aware you offered, and told her she must be forgetting that I explicitly told her I would never let her touch my head again. She claims that I exclaimed how much I loved it before I left her salon. Absolutely false. Then Tiara becomes aggravated and finally tells me, that At this point I have made this such an awkward and weird situation to the point now she doesn't want me in her salon to fix it. Then she proceeded to block my phone number, and all of my social media accounts. I had a friend try and help me fix it, we put color remover on it to lift the auburn color that I ended up with because it was not at all the color I had shown her or that she told me she could dye it. Upon using the color remover, it became apparent that Tiara did not just lighten my ends. She painted my entire head with bleach. I've also attached photos of what that looks like, and still looks like now because I've been unable to get in anywhere and have it fixed--it's going to costs me hundreds of dollars. Since Tiara decided to block me, I reached out to the salon thru Their business page on Facebook. My post was erased, and my private message was never even opened. I had no choice but to call the bank to dispute the charge at this point. I was informed that once the claim was filed, the money would be credited back to my account, but that there was a time period where the merchant could respond and refuse the charge back, and if they did that the money would be taken back out of my account. Today I checked my account and they in fact did fight the claim, won, and took the money back. Long story short, Tiara Rodarte has no idea what she is doing in a salon. These business practices are extremely unethical and downright slimy. Do yourself a favor and never trust these people with your hair. I will be calling the BBB, and also contacting my bank again to further dispute this. Because even though I did pay for "services rendered" they are NOT the services I was told I was getting, or asked for. I was told all they had to do was say they offered to fix it, to which I told the lady at the bank that I specifically told her after she offered to fix it that I would never let her near my head again. The lady at the bank said she would have done the same exact thing. This isn't over, and I would greatly appreciate someone reaching out to me immediately to make this right before this ends up way worse for your business than it already is by me leaving this review.

Overall it was well…read moreworth the price, which came to a little over $13 including the $5 scan card you must purchase to tan here. Pros of this spot are the 24/7 access if you purchase a fob--this would be amazing as no other company allows 24/7 access! It is also on a points system, so you can pay different amounts based on how much you want to tan and what beds you use. I also like that there are cleaning stations in every room for when you come after yours--during staffed hours they clean the beds and give you a cool towel which smelled great. The biggest con to me is the countless sales they pitch every time you come in. I counted 3-4 different upgrades/products pitched to me each of my first 3 visits, but was lucky enough to come in between customers on a busy day on my last visit so this was not an issue. They are not overly pushy, but definitely take a lot more of everyone's time upselling than is comfortable. The other big con for this bed is that if you lay as you are supposed to with your face under the face lamp, your shoulders are not getting light! The picture here shows what I'm talking about--it just doesn't make sense why a bed would be made this way. I believe it must be pretty dated for that reason, but I did develop color in 3-4 sessions. All in all this was well worth the $13. If they had a great deal on a membership I would consider buying one, but would make it a point to go only after staffed hours to avoid all the many sales pitches.

I had never gotten a lash tint or lift before this, and it was a great experience!…read more The service took about one hour, exactly what was quoted. I came in, and the aesthetician was ready to go, I believe her name was Chanel. She took great care of me, answered all of my questions, and had a good conversation throughout our appointment. The treatment was very gentle, although it did sting, my eyes a little bit during the hour. One thing I wish I was told ahead of time is that you are not supposed to put water on your eyelashes for 24 hours after this treatment. This was a struggle given it was hair wash day, so I would keep this in mind if you are doing an appointment like this. The chemicals stay on for 24 hours while I kept water off of my lashes, and in this time, it did stay a little bit to rub my eyes, so I tried to avoid this. After 24 hours in a shower, the chemicals were gone, and my eyelashes feel completely back to normal, but have a great lift and dark appearance! I'm excited to see how this lasts. It should be about 4 to 6 weeks.
