So let's start off with when we met Kyle we were already in the midst of our probate case. We were…read morealready unhappy with our previous Lawyer, and then we were blindsided in court that he was going to retire no forewarning to us or anything whatsoever. Needless to say we were left in a panic trying to figure out what next. We were a little worried because our previous Lawyer had screwed things up so badly. Kyle and his team came in confident in the transition, it was smooth and seamless as it could be. His associate attorney Faten and his support staff are amazing as well. Honestly, we mostly dealt with Faten and his paralegal Christina, but that was honestly perfect. They were there for the day-to-day and any little questions. It was nice talking to the same people so that you didn't have to explain yourself every time and they knew where to pick up from based on the previous conversations we had. Kyle was always there to support them if they had further questions and showed up when we really needed him during trial. The staff was meticulous in making sure everything was in order and ready for trial. They kept us informed at every step of the way. And they even so kindly listen to any weird or random question that we may have even if it was something that we googled. They didn't make us feel dumb for asking questions and always explained the proper terms and the layman version in a kind and thorough way. They were very collaborative with us in a good way that made us feel like our fate wasn't just hanging in some Lawyer's hands, but more like these people know what they are talking about, but also want to hear out our perspective and thoughts or any information we may be able to clarify or add. When Kyle did depositions or entered the courtroom, he was never rude or aggressive; but he was no pushover either. He knew what questions to ask and how to ask them. He was always honest with us in his opinion. He tried to do the best for us to get a settlement not because he didn't believe in our case, but because he saw the cost versus the expected outcome and was very honest with us. He was also at the same time, always prepared to go to trial. Unfortunately we did have to start trial but the work that he and his staff put in finally made the other side see that they had no way out it wasn't looking good for them and they settled. Throughout the entire process, his staff was open, honest and collaborative with us. Now most lawyers are expensive, but he did seem fairly priced average median cost that you would expect. The nice thing though was that they didn't nickel and dime us for every single little quick follow up phone call or appointment scheduling; which if you've ever had to hire a lawyer that can add up very quickly. We were grateful for their thorough and clear billing and again for the fairness in it. Going through something like this is a daunting process for anyone and not something that most people want to do or get involved in. It was nice to have someone take some of that weight off of our shoulders. On another note I wanted to mention.... I see how Kyle supports the women in his office and I must say that I appreciate that he doesn't belittle them or treat them lesser. He supports them, collaborates and helps them grow in the legal field and it shows in the awesome work that they do. Faten and Christina are smart, knowledgeable, and kind. A lawyer is only as good as the team around him. And he has the best team. Hopefully, we never have to go through something like this again but if we do Kyle's office will be the first place we call.

I called Darling Law Offices to ask a basic question about the scope of their publicly advertised…read moreasset-protection services. My grandmother is an existing client, but I repeatedly explained that I was not requesting any confidential information about her, her estate plan, or her account. I only wanted to know whether the firm handles asset protection related to potential litigation so I could determine whether my grandmother needed to contact the attorney herself. The receptionist, Claudia, repeatedly insisted that she could not speak to me because I was not my grandmother, even after I clarified several times that I was asking only about the services the firm offers to prospective clients. She even refused when I reframed the question as a potential new client seeking information about the practice. After approximately ten minutes of going in circles, I read the firm's own Google description stating that it handles estate planning and asset protection and asked whether its asset-protection services extended beyond living trusts. Claudia finally answered "no." That simple answer was all I had been requesting from the beginning. When I expressed frustration about how unnecessarily difficult and disrespectful the interaction had been, she hung up on me. I understand and respect client confidentiality. That was never the issue. Asking whether a law office provides a particular service is not a request for another client's confidential information. Based on this interaction, I would not feel comfortable trusting this office to communicate respectfully with my family.

He refused to allow me to file a police report after the executor failed to pay the electricity and the house was broken into. He made false promises regarding my brother serving as executor, which were not honored. He also attached another client's name and estate accounting details to a document I was asked to sign. An awful experience
