Upon delivery half of the furniture was not even unpacked , just left in the garage Found lots of pieces damaged glass broken or missing ( probably broken then thrown away). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Simple 1 bedroom move that Interstate Freight Shippers LLC quoted at $2,997. Did a video call of all Inventory and was assured multiple times that "if there are no additional items, the price will not change." The Binding Estimate I was given broke down the entire move, total volume, fuel charges, inventory, etc., all but assuring a simple "white glove" move. On move day the moving company that they had brokered the deal out to, Ship 4 U Trans showed up 3 hours late. Was told to sign several forms to make sure it was going to the right location, which were later filled out illegally by the mover, including the Bill of Lading and Inventory. After everything was moved into the truck, I was told that new cost of my move was $9,267. More than 3x the initial agreed upon price. I was initially quoted 423 Cu. Ft of space needed which seemed reasonable, but the movers said I needed 800 Cu. Ft. Keep in mind that I moved the exact same inventory myself prior with a 208 Cu. Ft. U-Haul (minus a couch). Was charged $1,000 for Packing Labor & Materials, $400 for Bulky Articles Handling, $2,000 for a Long Carry, and $3,000 more for the additional space/fuel needed. Also was told that they needed a Cashiers Check for the TOTAL amount that day, rather that the agreed upon $962 that Interstate Freight had assured me of multiple times. Throughout the move I made over 50 calls to both companies, while my items were being held hostage. Eventually I was told "mistakes were made" and they took off $2,293 in false charges. When my items were delivered, only 1/3 of the moving truck was used (clearly not 800 Cu Ft.) and literally everything was broken. All boxes were smashed, TV shattered, entertainment center kicked in, dressers scratched, sticky tape adhesive melted all over every couch cushion. Made a Damage Claim to MovingClaims.net (who I was referred to by Ship 4 U Trans) and was offered $104 for all the damages. I have filed complaints with the US Dept of Transportation DOT/FMCSA and Better Business Bureau and am currently hiring an attorney. DO NOT USE THESE MOVING COMPANIES!!! read more

I thought I hired another company to move me, but they turned out to be a broker and hired this company to move me. The broker company gave me a binding estimate of $5570.10 for basically 4 rooms of furniture. After this company placed all my belongings on their truck they increased that price to $10,425. When my belongings finally showed up at my new home I did notice when they opened the truck that it was only filled about 50-60%. Of course, with that being the case not one box I had was reusable since they were crushed. I had a 4 foot wardrobe box that ended up being 2 foot on arrival. Luckily, I pack well because nothing got broke, but they did manage to put a couple dents in my oak furniture which is very hard to do. This company is also very rude and very aggressive with wanting tips. For 3 hours work, they wanted $175 each. I have moved a lot and this is the first time I had movers even ask for a tip. read more

Cross country move (MI to AZ) Had many things... furniture, dishes,, etc, damaged or broken/shattered when they arrived - and I haven't finished unpacking. I had two heavy 7/16" thick specialty glass shelves, that THEY wrapped, when we unwrapped the cardboard & blankets - two of the glass shelves were broken on one of the corners! I watched them unload my furniture and boxes from the back of a semi truck with no ramp or lift gate... some things were dropped on the pavement, they transported my upright Yamaha Piano on its SIDE (not on a piano dolly) wrapped up in blanket & cardboard - that's not the way to move a piano!! When unloading my Blackstone grill, it was dropped. I have a Thomasville oak chest of drawers (WAS in excellent condition)- the top & bottom of the chest are separated and will require a furniture repairman! Two of the claw feet on my queen bed footboard were severely damaged. Many of the edges of my furniture were scuffed up I could go on. 3 of the workers that were hired to help unload the truck - didn't know what they were doing in handling my furniture and boxes and crates. They stacked boxes, that were labeled well, in the garage, many were upside down, heavy boxes on top of smaller boxes. Those 3 guys left well better the job was done. It was unbelievably sloppy work!!! The driver and one other were very good but my overall experience was a nightmare! I worked with a broker, PanTransit Van Lines, who contracted with Ship 4 U. I did my best to give them an accurate account/inventory of what we were moving (including 170 boxes and 50+ crates) - even updated the inventory as soon as 3 days before the move (no video walk through was ever done) and I was given a revised quote of almost $20,000. When the packers from Ship 4 U came on May 9, I had my quote sheet from Pan Transit Van Lines with me when the guy sat down to have me sign the papers before they would load - he basically said to put those papers away because he' would be the one with the correct amount. The new amount due basically doubled to nearly $39,000!! And when he gave me that price, he said "that doesn't include a tip" So NO I would never recommend them!! read more

BEWARE!! DO NOT USE!!!!!! This was the moving company that was sent by a moving broker. We are a large family in a large home. They send one tiny moving truck. And then told me that it would take 3 trucks and my original quote would only cover the first truck and I would have to pay the same amount for each truck. That would have been over $30,000. Then the movers wanted a cashier's check. I did not have that kind of cash. We negotiated it down, but I still needed to use a credit card. I would have to pay the extra 3.5% and then they would not release the load and I would have to pay a storage fee until the credit card clearers. What a joke! I basically walked away from my deposit. It felt like a scam as soon as the movers showed up in a moving vehicle that did not have the same logo as the business name. To sum it up: They wanted a certified check and would only take a credit card if I paid the 3.5% and more since they would have to story my items, and I would have to pay for those items too. SCAM! Work directly with a local moving company. You will be so much happier. read more

I agree with others and am warning everyone to stay away from SHIP 4 U TRANS! In addition, do not use a moving broker, such as 3 Brothers Moving & Storage. While the broker gave us pleasant service, accurate inventory, a good rate, and a reasonable Binding Estimate of $3486 for two 26-foot trucks, they brokered an out-of-state company in Clifton, NJ--SHIP 4 U TRANS--to drive 4 hours to move our PA household belongings to our new city only 30 miles/35 minutes away--also in PA. The movers arrived on time with one 26-foot truck, and the leader told us immediately that we had paid for only 1/2 truck of items based on his visual estimation of cubic feet! We knew immediately that we had been scammed, so we refused to pay $5,000 more to have the rest of the items moved. They agreed to move the furniture and wardrobe boxes--1/2 truck. To make matters worse, the 3 guys were not professional movers! They refused to take apart standard furniture, like the dining room table. Rather than use quilted moving blankets, they used tons of packing tape and plastic wrap, which scuffed some furniture. They did not use ramps or lifts, so the bottom trim of the front door was dented, and the tile at the end of the front porch was broken off. When the movers arrived at the new house, we paid cash for the new balance ($300 more than the Binding Estimate) before they would unload the 1/2 truck, but the leader insisted we were $90 short despite our showing him that it was the correct amount. We paid the additional cost so that our belongings were not held hostage. The guys did not put the beds together correctly and could not lift a chair and a bedroom bureau up the stairs to the second floor. We should be allowed to rate it ZERO stars and this company should not even be allowed to exist. Just as others mentioned, they are scammers. They are the worst moving company we have ever witnessed. And we've moved a lot. Shame on us for not doing more research, but I hope this review is seen to save anyone the headache and frustration when thinking about using this company for a move. Also, do NOT use a broker to move. While the broker may seem nice and professional, they have zero control over the moving company and how they handle the move. Better off using a real moving company, like Two Men and a Truck or College Hunks Hauling Junk. ANYTHING, but these guys. We were quoted $5400 at time of scheduling which was to include the labor, truck, mileage, etc. but once all was said and done, the move ended up costing over $10,000. That's because they over charged for space in the truck, wanted to charge $75 for every flight of stairs (7 steps was a flight according to them), and there was an additional $1,000 charge to have everything delievered within 2 days... Which we were never told about or agreed to, but they were adamant they told us about this charge before signing the papers. Keep in mind they forced us to sign the paperwork while it was nearly blank. We had them go down one flight of stairs for a mattress then said we'll do the rest because they acted like it was such a difficult task. The two guys who showed up were not professional and it seemed as if this was their first time loading a moving truck. No gloves, lifting straps, protective equipment, none of it. They packed the truck up so poorly that they ended up using "all" of the 26 foot truck and charged us more for the extra space. It wouldn't have been necessary if they knew how to load a truck properly. Guess they never played Tetris in their life. One of the biggest upsets was how they stacked the washing machine ON TOP of the dryer in the truck. Any normal person knows the washing machine is much heavier than the drier. Also, if they packed everything else up more efficiently there would have been no need to stack any appliances on top of one another. A lot of items were damaged in the process of this move. Thankfully it wasn't worse. But the whole experience was gut wrenching to watch. I wish we were able to take pictures, but they were adamant we were not allowed to go near the truck during the move-out and move-in process. They asked for cash through an app like CashApp or Zelle, but would not take a credit card. They also demanded we pay up front for half of the move and when they arrived to our final destination they wouldn't even open the truck to let us see how the items made it through the trip until we paid the second half. I used this company to move from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, and the only positive thing that I can say is that my goods arrived. * Broken/damaged items * scarred and scratched wooden pieces * Scratched and marred metal pieces * rude, communicative exchanges from each employee including the lead * unclear, hidden costs and fees * difficult direct contacting options * Unwillingness to place labeled items in designated locations * aggressive request for tips * gouged on long carry and stair charges * Additional fee added for Saturday delivery following previous agreement * Very poor estimation of truck space needed (I had to rent a U-Haul in order to transport remaining items due to lack of space on the truck) * Any displeasure expressed on my behalf, was quickly blamed on others/rules/system * VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!! I was so displeased with this service that I chose not to report any of the damaged items to the company, I just wanted to be done with them as quickly and completely as possible. THESE ARE SCAMMERS. We contacted another moving company who took a list over the phone of all of our items in our home and gave us an estimate of $8898.75. This was supposed to include moving everything in the house, including the piano, couch, washer and dryer, staging the furniture, packaging of TVs. This price was an estimate which they said over the phone could be reduced if we had less than what he had in the inventory. They did not tell us they were brokers and they sent a contracted moving company, Ship 4 U Trans, to our house. We sent a check for 2966.25 before the move date as a deposit. The movers from Ship 4 U Trans arrived two days late. They brought a bill of lading contract and pressured us to sign it while it was still blank or else they threatened to leave. At that point, we called 3 Brothers Moving and Storage to ask what was going on, but they said everything would fit in one truck and not to worry. While they were moving, they were behaving unprofessionally and calling us names--they called my mother and grandmother "old ladies" and told them to shut up and go sit inside. They partially filled one 26-foot truck with the lightest items in our house, excluding the piano, the couch, the washer and drier, and many other heavy items. When they arrived to the new house, they refused to unload the truck until we paid a cashier's check of $6092, a number which we had not agreed on ahead of time. He then told us it would cost another $5000 to retrieve another truckload of our items. We still had about half of our items, including the piano, washer, dryer, couch, several dressers, the TVs which had not been packaged. They did not stage any of the items like they said they would, and was included in the initial pricing. read more
