I have moved a lot in my life and I have never had such a bad experience with a moving company. They changed my pick up day and never called me. I paid extra for them to pack and they just threw everything willy will into boxes with only an absolute minimum of padding. delayed my delivery twice on some shady pretext. worst service ever. Never use this company. We moved from Hawaii to California and our boxes came back crushed and pillaged. They stole multiple items and the claims department is a joke. One box was opened and then re-sealed with our writing on the inside. A huge clue to the fact that they went through our things. Even the communication through the entire process was a huge headache. Not only is our stuff gone, the stuff that we did get back are molded or damaged. We might as well tossed our things since that's what we will need to do anyway. Moving 2500 miles across the Pacific ocean during a pandemic, plus shipping a car, was a challenge made way easier with Prime Moving. As my move progressed, Prime was with me all the way using emails, text messages and phone calls. They explained each process thoroughly, and worked with me gracefully when I had to change my move date. All employees were professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. The movers handling my belongings were respectful and careful. Since I didn't have a place to live upon landing, I utilized the free storage. Once I found a place, Prime made the final delivery happen within a reasonable amount of time. I received everything in perfect condition. This is the most organized company I've ever dealt with. Full story: I used prime moving twice. Last year I moved to hawaii for work, and in that moment of researching what company to use to move my stuff, all you see are terrible stories of anger, frustration, and hopelessness with every moving company. They are all sounding terrible.. So you get into this position of.. who do I use? Who is the lesser evil here? I sent my info out on a site and prime called me first. I spoke to leo who was cool to talk to, gave me a quote, thanked me for my time. A few other companies called me back, some more expensive and some cheaper.. I went with leo. Pickup went smooth, I had more stuff than the quote had so I paid a little chunk more to make it happen.. it was expected. I didnt have a place to deliver yet, I needed to find an apartment. They said no worries, let us know where to deliver as soon as you can... no prob. Fast forward.. I'm in Hawaii, waiting on my order at my apartment, and these moving articles kept coming through my news feed about upset people from bad movers and Prime was on the list. I was shipping a bunch of music gear and other important stuff, so in fear, I rented a uhaul and picked up the delivery myself from the prime loading dock. I didnt want anyone going through my stuff. It was all there, i trucked it back to my place and everything was present and undamaged. I felt good about it. Done deal. Unfortunately I didnt use the destination delivery because I think (not confirmed) the bad variable here would be the hawaii crew. I oversaw my items pulled from the shipping container and loaded into my uhaul. I was stressed and concerned for my sentimental items, and this was my solution. Based on what I've heard from everyone I met in hawaii, I didnt want to risk it. Fast forward a year and a half.. Hawaii was awesome and I got a promotion.. and I was on my way to washington. I pulled my moving papers out and called prime again, got leo again, and started the process. Here's the kicker here. The first move was charging $10 per cubic feet, and for the second move they charged me $13 dollars per cubic feet. That difference was pretty big. I felt cornered because I didnt catch the print till the final days. I was pretty upset to be honest. My wife was currently first trimester pregnant and alone with my 2 year old in hawaii finishing the move while I started work in Washington. I had to bite the bullet and pay the extra. I didnt have any time to get another quote and deal with another company.. Not happy about that. It put me in a place where I begged them to get me the original $10.. they didnt budge. And now these times are a little harder with that much more debt here. Anyway.. they had switched me from leo, to this guy tyler.. who was alright and always called me back and communicated well with me. He was cool. Same as before, no destination till I found a place, and this time it came quicker than last time. The window is usually 45 business days, and I got my washington delivery in like 30ish business days. It was delivered with some friendly dudes which I'm sure were outsourced. The only thing is i'm missing a filing cabinet valued at about $100. I let them know but no word on it yet. So friends of Yelp... These guys are a service that coordinates other companies to accommodate a move. There are a lot of variables in play where your order can go wrong. With 2 moves and all I'm missing is this $100 item, it's a 3 out of 5. -1 star for jacking the price up substantially over one year, from $10 to $13 per cubic feet. -1 star for the missing item. Leo and Tyler are good communicators though. Use Prime, but double check your quote and dont do anything out of desperation.take your time with these things. Caution I'll NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! I had a written emailed quote for the size of each of my 55 gallon plastic containers, etc in writing! Quotes for shipping of household packed goods, no furniture was to be shipped.... I liked the fact they use by space and not weight based fee's!! I then asked if they shipped auto's too? I had a newer, 2014 low mileage ( 40 K Miles) 32,000.00$ Jeep to ship. I got a great quote for it as well!!Day of shipping, they packed my stuff on the truck, and called dispatch for a new price quote- over a thousand more!!! I refused to sign for the new pricing and called the manager. He agreed to ship with the old price quote. My jeep arrived filthy, gross looking with baked on, caked on mud. It was so dirty I couldn't tell if the paint had been scraped off. Then there was Kyle the cursing driver. MY WINDOWS WERE DOWN ( dumped mud and rocks inside my interior as well as in my window well) on the drivers side front and back... he was using my jeep to jump start another vehicle, much to my shock. He did it once and I walked out to him and said: "Hi, are you Kyle? Can I ask a question? Why are my windows down and why are you using my jeep to jump other cars and are those my new jumper cables all covered in mud?" He ignored me, drove the bronco off the ramp and it died. He jumped back in my jeep and moved it to the end of the ramp and then went to re use my jeep to jump the other car. I said: "hi," again! He looked and me and said: "What?"I asked him: to stop using my jeep to jump start other cars and asked if he had an electric portable jump box to use?" and he said :"yes but it's in the cab" I told him: "go get it please" He started cussing and dropping F bombs... He then moved the semi forward almost dropping the front end of my jeep tires off the ramp and came around and got into it and drove off spewing gravel at me and spun a 180 and came back and skidded to a stop next to me, almost hitting me while I was standing by his truck. I asked why there was mud and rocks completely covering my jeep and he said:" I drove it around the country for 11 days" I looked inside and there was mud and dirt all over the drivers side front and back and the leather wrapped steering wheel. So that's the Jeep story. Now the housing shipment was to be delivered to a different location originally. I was told when my jeep was coming "that no body wants to drive into that rural location" Having moved to a new location and notifying them immediately, they verbalized they were relieved with the new location not being out in the farm country. The day before the shipment arrival a man named Duane called and verified my address.The day of the shipping arrival he called again and verified the address and the time. I then called the office to see how much they intended on charging upon the shipments arrival. Within 5 minutes the driver called and said he could not find my house, then said: "oh I meant I can't drive there and that I would need to pay for storage and pick up my own belongings or hire an additional shuttle and if I need a shuttle and its another 300$"... After 4 hours of deliberations and them threatening to auction off all of my stuff and knowing I had my deceased grandmothers antiques in my containers, I caved into their 27 phone calls and emails and badgering and I paid. It was the last money I had to survive on for next month. Then I was told that the payment didn't go through on their end, but I could clearly see it went through on mine. I received emails from my credit card company as well as alerts to the purchase and still they wanted me to sign a document before they would allow me to move forward to get my stuff from them. Ill be monitoring my CC for the final results...Once unloaded from the u haul they drove up in( I never saw the semi they claimed couldn't get here) the containers we're broken and cracked and some just plain crushed. My cat tree stand and antique perfume table are both severely damaged. As well as broken glass that was very well bubble wrapped inside these extremely sturdy containers. I had bought the containers on Hawaii at top costs for the shipping to the mainland. I would like to say that we are a Medical/Military family of very hard workers and are in integrity with our business handlings and take pride in our professions... Clearly this company has no concern for either. UPDATE: negative 10 stars from last time. The shipping department is a pain to talk with, tells you they will get back with you and never do, absolutely WORTHLESS company. If I could give them less stars, I would. Do not use prime to ship a car. They subcontract out the car shoppers and give you one price over the phone (not email so that you don't have it in writing) and then charge you a totally different price when it comes down to paying. Also, prime payed the subcontracted car shipping company before we received our vehicle.... damaged. When we contacted them about the damage, they said we have to contact the vehicle shipping subcontractors, who don't reply to anything and prime won't do anything about it. The total for the damage is ~ $2000, which is only slightly less than it cost to ship the car. Prime seems great at first, but I would never recommend that anyone uses them for vehicle shipping or household goods. read more

From the time the movers arrived at my home on-time, they were professional, friendly and hard-working. They packed my furniture, TV, artwork, bicycles and other items very carefully. They labeled each item and moved very quickly. They also kept me apprised of the shipping date as well as the delivery date. It's true, they literally delivered at my doorstep and put the items where they needed to go, unwrapped! Nothing was damaged during shipment and I received everything as expected. Because of this experience, I am wanting to make another shipment of my goods to them. I moved from South Pasadena, California to Haiku on Maui. I Moved from PA to HI and everyone was great, from the first contact to the last; I felt well informed about the timeline and they were all very kind, answered all my questions and followed up with emailed paperwork outlining the fine details that I didn't think to ask. Move to Hawaii from Los Angeles Our furniture was picked up April 21 and arrived at our condo in Honolulu on May 16. That's 26 days if your are counting,,,,,,, First, we dealt with John, he did a great job keeping us informed. The guys did a great job wrapping all our stuff in furniture blankets and getting it on its way. I was searching every way to get our stuff here. Prime moving got my 600 cu. ft. picked up-moved-delivered to my condo in Waikiki for $4800, (I tipped the guys $60 at each end). I had quotes from Matson of $6000 for a container, (and I do all the work), and Pod's of $6000 and I pack and unpack. Prime moving was an obvious choice in my situation. Do not even know where to start... I don't know if it was their bosses fault or just sheer stupidity, but, the movers came at 1030 am as a group. The dispatcher left one guy, Eiolu, to pack up an entire apartment by himself. One guy for a 1000 square foot house. There are many heavy pieces of furniture, lots to pack up, and no truck. They didn't leave him anything to do his job with, no screwdriver, no dolly, nothing. How do you expect one guy to do everything by himself?! I'm pretty sure it is against the law to make one person do everything by himself. If he had attempted to do anything by himself he probably would have gotten hurt and ended up on disability. They said they were sending a truck to grab the stuff and guy's to help finish pack and load but they did not send anyone until 7PM!!! They said they entire apartment would be packed out by 5PM But they didn't send anyone to even help. So when the guys showed up at 7pm the house was only half done. The one steady worker was exhausted because though apartments seem small they have a heck of a lot of stuff. Once the guys got here I did not see anyone actually doing anything. They were walking back and forth, talking loudly, and taking their sweet time to do the simplest thing. This is a complex. With children. They shouldn't have been here past 5 because there are children that need their sleep. Now that it is past 9pm and they are still here we are now having the security guard telling us to hurry up and the neighbors calling the cops because they are being so loud. While moving they broke the exit sign and covered it up and tried to hide it. I can't even imagine the level of stupid you have to be to put a customer through this. My mom is moving 2000 miles away from her daughter and she is in a terrible position being treated horribly by this company. When she finally had a meltdown they kicked their butts in gear but until then they took their sweet old time. My mom is not a yeller or someone who cries publicly but this company made her do both within an hour. I'm not sure if this is going to reach anyone above these guys who packed up but they need to get their crap together and start treating their employees right. I feel terrible for the one guy. He worked his but off all day and all he gets is crap from the people who had to come help him finish packing. Don't use this company if you value your time. read more

I delt with many moving companies before to deliver items to my costumers on the Hawaiian Islands. Some were ok and some were horrible to deal with. Prime Hawaiian Movers were just perfect. I can't even start explaining how good these guys are. From Nicole at the sales department, through Erick at dispatch, Kahala at the Oahu local branch and the great delivery crew. Top notch experience. I will keep using them even though they're a bit pricier then the competitors but I already learned that in life, whatever comes cheap become expensive later. I just used Prime for a move cross-country. I could go on and on but I'll sum it up by saying that our stuff arrived 26 days after it was picked up--we were told it would take 5-10 days. We were promised 5 wardrobe boxes. They showed up with one and threw the rest of our hanging clothes in boxes, which arrived in a tangled mess, wrinkled, one dress torn. Everything they packed (pictures/art) was damaged in some way. Every picture frame was dented or scratched. One picture had broken glass, one mirror was broken. Worst of all, a very valuable antique chair arrived with a broken leg and crushed back--the upholstery on the back was torn it was pushed in so hard. Halfway through our stuff being delivered, I noticed 6-7 boxes in the house that were not ours. I had to tell the moving guys about it and they moved them out. While they were unpacking our stuff I noticed them standing on top of someone else's dining room table. I made it clear that anything that said "bedroom" on the box should go upstairs and of course that didn't happen. So we had to move most of the stuff upstairs ourselves. Do not use this company. While the customer service as a whole wasn't bad, they tried to charge me erroneous fees. Then when I called them out and went with another company they offered to price match. I had already committed to Prime Movers with a quote in hand but then they tried to apply an additional $500 charge for a mysterious fee from out in left field. Moved items from Salt Lake City, UT to Mililani, HI. I have broken down my experience into three parts. The first part of my experience was getting the quote and necessary information. Shan Prime, our sales person, has been sort of responsive and helpful. Shan gave us a highly competitive quote that covered my moving needs. The quoted cost to ship my household items was $3858 for 334 cu. ft and 2338 lbs. The cost to ship two cars came out to $870/car from the port of Long Beach, CA. The second part of my experience was shipping the two cars. This was a fairly straight forward process and the two cars I shipped made it to Hawaii with no damage. We decided to drive the cars to the port of Long Beach from Utah to get the cheapest price. The only issue we faced was finding the ports to drop off and receive the cars. The third part of my experience was the household items. This was by far the worst experience I have had with any company who provides service. There was a copious amount of issues with this part of the move that I have bulleted the issues below. - I provided a specific pick-up date two months prior to my move, but I almost did not get my pick-up date. It was only out of sheer luck that Prime Moving was able to contract out Helping Hands Moving in Salt Lake City to help with my move. About one week before my preferred date, I was constantly calling Prime Moving to make sure I got my date scheduled. I kept being reassured that I will get a call from the driver for my date. However two days prior to my pick-up I get a call from Raquel G, who was with customer service dispatch. She had the audacity to ask me if they could move my pick-up date from Saturday to Monday. That was unacceptable because I was in constant communication with Prime Moving and explicitly provided them with my needs. Luckily I called Shan Prime and he was able to work things out on his end and was able to contract out Helping Hands Moving to do the pick-up on my preferred date. -In the Prime Moving quote, I am promised moving blankets for furniture, a mattress bag/box and packing of my TV. I did not have any of these items at pick-up. I assumed these would be used at pick-up to prevent any damage during a transfers between trailers. After having my items picked up, I called Shan Prime to ask about these amenities that were supposed to be included in the move. He told me that those amenities will be provided when Prime Moving repacks my household items. That was not stated in the quote, which is frustrating because Prime Moving promised these amenities and do not deliver until later in the moving process -After having our items picked up, I was asked to provide a delivery date for my items. I provided a preferred delivery date of April 21st and was given a tentative date range of May 5th to the 15th. Why ask for a preferred delivery date if the actual delivery will happen in May? -I was not physically able to watch Prime Moving measure my items at the pick-up. I was assured that the team coming to pick-up my items would be measuring my items as they are put into the trailer. Helping Hands Moving was not instructed to measure my items. They were to bring my items to an off-site location where it would be transferred to a new trailer and taken to a Prime Moving facility. This was annoying because I do not trust that my items were measured properly. I attempted to get in contact with Prime Moving to request a remeasure of my items while I am present.I called Jeffrey Winter who was in charge of the logistics to help fulfill my request. He got in contact with customer service to help me work out this issue. I did not receive a call from customer service. I stopped pursuing this issue because no one was going to help me. I was only going to be lied to. -There is a constant lack of communication coming from this company. I constantly call the sales team to get a hold of my sales person. When I cannot get a hold of my salesperson, the person on the line tells me they will have my sales person give me a call the next day. Normally I do not receive a call back from Prime Moving. -I was surprised all of my items made it to the delivery site. I only found a few items slightly damaged. Prime Moving promises a lot of good things, but they do not follow through. I was constantly reassured and trusted this company was a good one to work with. Now at the end of my moving experience, I do not trust anything that Prime Moving does. They will not deliver and will only make a move extremely stressful. read more

I was getting ready for a stressful experience since I have a large household,with 3 little girls and 2 cats...I was actually proven wrong with those guys! Got a quote on the phone, very reasonable price. Last month on the move date the movers arrived on time,all in uniforms,even smelling good :) 6-7 hours all was wrapped,packed and protected,and on its way. A week later I got to CA,to find out that my new house is not even ready to move in. Luckily for me ,prime was able to arrange storage for my stuff,and in top of that-free!! Wow!!! I am now in my new place,all set and guess what-among all my stuff,only one cracked dish. Amazing service and amazing care! So thank you guys! I used prime Hawaiian movers to move my parents fro teaneck, NJ to Mililani, HI. These guys were amazing from beginning to end. Nichole was so helpful. She answered any question I had and explained everything. She even shipped my car for $2,100 when all the other competitors quoted me at least $2,500. I can't thank them enough. The price they've quoted me stayed exactly the same. Everything got delivered in a timely mannered and with 0 damages. I will use those guys and recommend them to anyone I know. I moved from the mainland on a short timeline ~ due to a new job. It was a complicated move with me driving from Tennessee to Southern California. My first contact was the booking agent who immeadiately gave me a quote & was quite reassuring that my things would arrive in a timely manner ~ which actually happpened!!! The California team was totally amazing ~ I was late getting to their warehouse & they not only waited for me but unloaded my truck ~ crated everything ~ in such an efficient matter! It was amazing! All with great positive energy!!! The Hawaii team was awesome as well! Mine was not an easy move in ~ down 21 stairs & then up 12 ~ with a boatload of items ~ 121 in total!!! They were pleasant & polite ~ moving my belongings into my new home ~ two days before I started my new job! Thanks for making my move such a smooth experience!!! When I moved to Tennessee from California with another firm ~ I had a horrible experience!!! With my belongings arriving almost two weeks after the scheduled date! I read through the other review of this company before posting mine. I was actually shocked by what I read. I had the complete opposite experience with Prime Van Lines. My roommate and I were moving out of NYC and into New Jersey. Everything was going wrong! Seriously, everything that could go wrong, did. The only thing that did go well was working with this moving company. The morning of the move out, the movers arrived right on time and came upstairs to introduce themselves before starting. They were all very polite and very professional. My roommate and I lived on the 3rd floor of a building with an elevator. Of course, the morning of the move our elevator broke - before the movers had a chance to even move anything. They had to take everything down 2 flights of stairs without complaint and were still being extremely careful with all of our things. They were expert wrappers and got everything protected and down to the waiting truck very efficiently. One of the other things that had gone wrong was that we couldn't move into our new apartment for another 2 weeks. This meant that we were going to have to store our things for the time in between occupancies. They were wonderful and helped us through that process as well. They made it so easy for us to get everything done. We just moved into our new apartment this morning and they delivered all of our things (in the SAME condition) to us and again were right on time. They put all of our furniture back together and brought everything in as efficiently as I've ever seen movers do. I really did have an awesome experience with Prime Van Lines. Everyone I spoke to in the office and in the field were friendly, helpful and professional. In the end we saved so much money. We would have had to hire a truck twice and pay for storage, not to mention doing a lot of manual labor. They took care of everything. I will be using them again in the future and will be recommending them to everyone making a NYC or New Jersey move. read more

COVID aside, they still have terrible customer service. You expect things to be slower, but just not calling on days they have promised an update is not a way to keep someone's confidence when they have been waiting 2 months for their items. Sending multiple emails of concerns and questions and never having them acknowledged or responded to is unacceptable. Then the driver delivering your items being unaware of the size truck needed to get to your building - even though that was provided weeks ago - creating yet another delay when the items finally arrive- is just outrageous. Demanding last minute fees, even though they have not delivered the service promised. Extremely disappointed and will never recommend them. I am now paying the full balance plus extra fees before even getting my items. I will not be surprised if everything is in terrible condition or broken when it arrives. They don't care about your experience and are just money hungry. Their customer service agents aren't capable of giving basic updates on if your items are even in the warehouse or on a truck. I could have walked here faster across country carrying these things. read more

The company tried to overcharge me on the move day. I always got the feeling they were going to try and increase the price once they showed up. Even though I measured everything with measuring tape, they still told me they quoted it wrong and that it would cost 550 extra. Delivery still hasn't arrived after 2 months of travel time and persistent calling to find out where the driver is. Still no luck tracking it. Hopefully it will show up soon. read more

Walked us through the whole process. The movers who showed up on both sides of the move were nice, hardworking and professional. This Company destroyed a bookshelf of mine and refused to pay for it. In addition, they were understaffed and my family ended up helping move things to and from the truck. We did at least 50% of the move ourselves because it got too late and dark to realistically continue without our help. Lastly, this Company sold me an "exclusive truck" load (which means you pay for your own truck to move your items directly from point A to B) for $800. Yes you read right, $800. I found at the time of delivery that they were very late because they had hauled two other customers items with mine and had to deliver theirs first. I tried to get a partial refund for my destroyed property, manual labor, non-exclusive truck and scratches in our hardwood floor and the Company told me, quite candidly, that I would receive nothing. Please pay extra a find a proper moving company. My move was from NorCa to Oahu. Pickup was late May,and now it is Aug 4 and I cannot get a promise of delivery date. Who knows if my stuff is still safe. If you are in a hurry for your goods, make sure you ask a lot of questions about delivery times. **DISHONEST BUSINESS** I would give a -10 I have been trying to move my belongings, and thought I had found a honest business with great customer service, but I was 100% wrong. I got my initial quote from Leo, who quoted me a great price, was super friendly and helpful. When I called back to adjust my quote, I spoke with Frank, who was equally as friendly and helpful. At the end of my call, I asked for a email quote to be sent to me, to make sure everything was in writing as we all do. I never received a second quote, or a receipt for the deposit that Frank took on my I called in the two days later and spoke with Leo, who then sent me a quote immediately, as my previous "two emails they sent me must have gotten lost," over the cloud. When I received the new quote, I was misquoted on the phone and had to ask Leo about the new price, which was $100 more. After Leo got defensive and argumentative, Leo admitted that he quoted me the wrong price on the phone, because he "did the figures really quick in his head" and he should have told me about the mistake instead of letting me figure it out. This was a RED FLAG to me, so I went over the details one last time to make sure everything was legitimate. THIS IS WHEN THINGS GOT MUCH WORSE. Originally I was quoted a price of $2822 too move 245 cu ft of my things. I was told by Leo that any additional cubic feet would be at a rate of $1.24 is we over estimated but it would be impossible for me to take up a full 400 cu ft (my storage containers are 200 cu ft each). He said "maam, we do this all the time and trust me you could not take up the entire container.You could take up a lot but with the items you have it won't be necessary to get a quote for the full 400." Payment is due by credit card before or on the day of drop off, you can do this online he said. Fast forward to today (2 days from original quote) and 15minutes of being on hold after asking to speak to a manager, Leo has now informed me that my payment is 80% due on the day they ship, with the balance due on the day of delivery. Any additional cubic feet is $10 per cu ft on the day of pickup(grosely different than his original quote, which I never received) and that I will be charged the quoted price as a minimum even if my belongings take up far less than the actual cu ft.(This is reasonable), but was not told to me, I was told something different. When I was directed to look at the "Service agreement" for payment terms, when I called out the difference, I was told by the agent John "this makes no sense, and I have no idea what it is that they are saying about payments (see the website)."They give you 3 different payment directives in their own directions.Additionally, John shared with me that the more square footage I reserve, the lower the rate. Which contradicts what the manager told me when I finally got a chance to speak to him. John broke down my quotes and he was right.One quote gave me $9 cu ft, and another gave me a little more because I reserved less space. I thought a manager would share the same information with me, but it didn't happen. When I was finally able to speak to a manager, who was very nice, I walked away in the same situation. My items are being picked up, I was given a "deal" which actually works out to be the same price of $10per cu ft. He said they use a standard tariff, and charges for everyone and no one gets less than the $10 per cu ft after the bas charge of $1850 for the first 100 cu ft. I am completely confused as to what is right and what is wrong. Even after I was done calling Prime Moving and speaking to three different people including a manager, a person called to verify I was going to be at the move twice. A person in their insurance dept called me twice to make sure I didn't want to purchase insurance because he had noticed "an increase in damages in items being shipped to Honolulu." When I told him what Leo said, his response was "umm who told you that, that is not true.Insurance would be a good idea if you wanted to make sure that your items are protected regardless of what it is" My stuff is being picked up, because they charged a non-refundable deposit despite their repeated dishonestly.I just got an email asking me to make a payment without a total online (Which I will not do, until the manger calls me like he said he would with my total). Had I of known that I would be lied to repeatedly I would have paid a higher price to know that someone was being honest with me. I am a business person, I own multiple businesses and conduct business all over the US, and rarely do I ever experience such dishonesty and price switching like I did with Prime Moving & Leo. I'll update with the condition of my items once they arrive. I moved from Hilo, HI to Northern CA. It's been 1 month and I still haven't received my shipment, but it has to go through another deliverer since I'm in a rural area. The day of the move went great and the movers were very effeicient and treated my property great. I was surprised by the price, and more costs kept getting tacked on the closer it got to the actual date, which left me with no choice but to accept the costs. When I expressed my concern, they did work with me to keep the costs down. read more

If I could rate this any lower, I would!!!! First off when the moving day came, I should of known that this was going to be a very bad experience! They were suppose to show up at 11am but didn't get to our house until 5pm!! Guess what time they left......almost 4am!!! When you have kids waiting to go to bed, that is ridiculolus!! Not to mention they didn't request any backup help until it was 12:30am! Mind you we only had a 1049sq ft condo! Fast forward to today...Going on 10 weeks now and still no furniture!!!! Hasn't even left California!!! When we were stated 7-21 days over the phone when we were looking at different moving companies. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!! Then they tell you "Oh that's 7-21 business days" When that time frame came and went they told us it could take 45 days to get our stuff. OH NO...45 business days!!! So that brings us to current time. We were GUARENTEED delivery date no later then Sept 27th! Again they broke their contract and was now told the 30th of Sept! Can you guess what they offered us for our compensation.....$30 off a day it is past the contract date. After spending almost $12k to move our stuff from California to Oahu, they had the balls to offer $30 off per day going over the contract date! Please if you read this review...go with another company!! Stay far away from this place as possible. Wish we did! We moved from Maui, Hawaii to Scottsdale, Arizona. I was very hesitant to use Prime Moving because of very negative comments on Yelp. I talked to Leo about this issue. He acknowledged that there had been some problems in the past, but they felt confident that those issues had been addressed. I am very grateful that I chose Prime Moving. There was not one aspect of the move that was not handled professionally. All communication, text, email, phone, etc., for coordination of the move, were timely and complete. The movers themselves on both sides of the Pacific were excellent. They were courteous, timely, and answered any questions that we had. The price of the move was very reasonable and there were no "hidden" fees anywhere. Both Leo and Daniel were great to work with. They addressed any concerns that we had. I would not hesitate to use Prime Moving again. A lesson here is not to believe all reviews written on Yelp. Investigate for yourself before making a decision on a business. read more

While the actual pick up was fine (the men were nice enough), the customer service on from the company was terrible. They were not honest about delivery timelines, which from a professional moving company, you would expect. There's a reason it's one of the cheapest moving companies out there. I was moving on down the East Coast from NYC, and the dispatcher originally said 3-10 days, when my load was picked up that turned into 7-10 days, and when I called back a week after the pick up, it was 10 or more business days. The time was not a big deal, but had they told me how long it was actually going to take, I would have planned accordingly. read more

Wow, what can I say. I've done many many moves through the military, but this was by far my most stressful one. Despite being promised a large crew of people who'd come move me, I ended up with just 2 people to move me. While the actual movers were nice, they were completely overwhelmed. So overwhelmed that they ended up leaving my household items in the middle of 34th st unattended which lead to someone running off with 2 of my suitcases. Luckily the contents were dumped on 35th street after he figured out the black market for class A army uniforms doesn't really exist. Let's just see if my household items actually get delivered intact and/or on time. Well the household goods did arrive, albeit many things damaged, but at least arrived on time. The crew was pleasant enough, that's why they get the one star. read more

These guys - formerly Hawaiian Movers who combined with Prime movers, moved my apartment items from Massachusetts to Honolulu, HI last July 15th. 1st, they delayed my shipment in NJ instead of sending it directly to California for ocean shipping. I called to find out where my items were located 2 weeks after pick-up to find out that it was not shipped from NJ. Then, once shipped to LA, it sat at the port from Aug. 8th until Sept. 21st before it was put into a container and shipped to HI. I was constantly calling these folks (Nichole in HI. and Erika in NJ) to get updates since they would not call me. Once I received the shipment on Sept. 29th, they said that their 45 days claim of delivery was counting only weekdays and not pick-up and delivery days (7 days a week). They offered me $50 not to write any reviews on the internet, which I refused. My items were delivered and I was missing 1 box of goods and had damage to a bookcase top shelf, 2 dresser footings and a stereo cabinet footing. Make sure you take pictures of all boxed contents for your insurance claim. Also, make sure you account for the $1,000 deductible. After 8 months (claims are supposed to be resolved after 3 months) the CSI claims company wants to offer me $18.00 for the lost box ($.060/lb on an average of 30 lb./box since they didn't weigh each box prior to shipping) and no money for the damaged furniture stating that based upon the construction materials there is no expectation that it was build to withstand shipping assembled. The furniture was wrapped and packed by the Prime Movers but it appears that that fact is of no consequence also. THEY'LL TAKE YOUR MONEY QUICKLY BUT GOOD LUCK GETTING YOUR ITEMS IN 1 PIECE, IF AT ALL AND FORGET BEING ON TIME. read more

I have done many moves as well, and this is one of the worst ones. Despite pack date being confirmed many times, crew did not show up on the date confirmed. Company's excuse was to the effect of "it's summer and we're busy." The required delivery date was July 26. In July 26, we were told that "due to circumstances", our household goods will be delivered on July 27. On that date, nothing came... Today isn't looking promising either. My shipment arrived and the single most expensive piece of it is missing: an original artwork painting. I paid thousands of dollars to move my household belongings from Hawaii to Arizona and this company "lost" my painting. When I reported the missing painting I was outsourced to a third party company to "file a claim" with no hope of my painting being recovered. I was also told by Prime Hawaiian Movers employee Nicole to drive to Long Beach, California all the way from Arizona to pick up my car at Matson on a day that Matson was closed! I had to pay hundreds of dollars to stay in California an extra day. I wish I could give zero stars, this entire experience has been absolutely awful. read more
