Once I got connected with a carrier, my car made it across the country in under a week from Maryland to California with no issues. I'm a meticulous person and I made a largish purchase for a car so I even checked the carrier that he found for me, and they had sufficient miles logged and insurance on file, all of which gave me an extra peace of mind. He accomplished all of this while giving me a reasonable/competitive deal. I'm recommending him to my friend who might also be buying a car across the country in the bear future

Big mistake. Here's what happened: -I place order, am charged more than agreed on. -I try to cancel, I should be allowed to do this per the terms. By the way, this is only a few hours later, and I am placing the order a month in advance. -Henry takes that personally, and yells at me over the phone, makes it strangely personal?? -Threatens to steal my car (put a lien on it) just because I asked to cancel. -Once I threaten to call my bank, he says he'll refund me in an attempt to prevent me from calling my bank (over the phone he was very scared of me calling my bank). He does not refund me. -I call my bank and the person assures me I have an extremely strong case for being refunded. He practically begged me to not file a chargeback with my bank. Begged. If you've been scammed by him, I highly recommend calling your bank. Though, after writing this review, he will probably change that behavior because he is a highly manipulative person. Every single time I pointed out that he is scamming people or doing something wrong, he played the victim. Classic DARVO manipulation behavior. Henry belongs in a Netflix crime documentary. Shawn used to run this company, and did a good job, that's why you see all the five star reviews. He left, and ever since, Henry has been scamming people out of their money and using Chatgpt to seem more reasonable in the reviews. Please see the attached screenshots to get a sense of what he's actually like once you pay your hard earned money. Just look at the RECENT reviews, which are mostly one star. If you have been scammed by Henry, I would recommend (and I cannot emphasize this enough), CALL YOUR BANK. I have also filed a complaint with the FTC and my attorney general, and you can too. I am preparing a legal fight as I am a law student and that would be simple for me to do, but not everyone can afford such a thing.

With Patriot, communication was stellar throughout. After I submitted a quote request online, I received an email back within 24 hours with a very reasonable quote. I had a couple of questions and the rep (Allison) was great. She even suggested putting some extra information in the notes about where to do the pick-up and drop-off (something that was completely messed up by the other company). On the day of the pickup, the driver texted me to let me know exactly when he would be there (the other company messed that up too). We talked about the best place to do the pickup and he went to the place that I suggested (the other company insisted on an illegal and dangerous location even though I told them there was a safer and legal spot just around the corner). I asked the Patriot driver to give me his best estimate on the drop off date because I needed to book a flight. He told me he would text me after picking up the other the cars. And he did!!! He arrived on the date he said he would. He texted me about where he thought he could do the drop off and I was able to suggest a better location within walking distance of my house. In short, they did everything they promised, with excellent communication throughout. I will never use anyone else.

At my previous apartment, we stayed for a while to make sure everything was going smoothly before driving to our new place. When we left, the crew appeared to have already moved the majority of our belongings out. It took us about 40 minutes to drive to the new apartment, plus another 20 minutes to get settled and make sure our cat was safe. An hour after we had left, I received a call saying they had just finished loading the truck and were only then heading to our new apartment. Given how much had already been completed before we left, that timeline didn't make sense to me and left me questioning how efficiently the remaining work was being done. Another frustrating part of the experience was that, at both the pickup and delivery locations, the movers repeatedly asked me where they should park the moving truck. I don't drive commercial moving trucks, and I hired professionals because I expected them to know how to handle those logistics. I was also told that if they received a parking ticket, I would be responsible for paying it, which I found unreasonable. Once they arrived at the new apartment, the pace continued to feel unnecessarily slow. There were multiple trips carrying only one or two small items at a time. Eventually, my partner and I started helping unload our own belongings because we wanted to get the move finished. We also noticed several bathroom breaks throughout the job, which only added to the feeling that the process was taking much longer than necessary. The final interaction left a bad impression as well. I fully intended to leave a tip for good service, but before I even had the chance, one of the movers repeatedly asked for cash after I had already explained that I didn't have any. Being pressured for a tip at the end of an already disappointing experience felt unprofessional. Moving is already stressful, and I hired professionals hoping to make the day easier. Instead, I left feeling that the job took much longer than it should have, communication was poor, and the overall experience did not justify the cost. I can't recommend this company based on my experience.

Jeremiah's communication heading into the move was excellent and Mike and his team arrived right in the window they said they would. As soon as I gave them the rundown of the place, they wasted ZERO time and got straight to work - all the way until the last item was carried into the new place. Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. Not to mention it was also a really hot day and they powered through it without a single complaint. My wife and I have said several times that we don't know how we would've done it without Mission Movers. I know exactly who I'm hiring for any of my future moves. 10/10 experience! PS: don't forget to tip your movers!!! These guys weren't expecting it and they were so grateful - it only made me wish I had more to give.

I ended up having to drop the car off 3 weeks earlier than expected and it was not a problem. When I dropped off the car, Alex and Alan were super assertive in explaining how the car would be stored. I also ended up picking up the car earlier than expected and they had my car ready within the hour and I got to keep the car cover and battery tender I bought for next time. I also liked the fact that Stephanie kept my contract open in the event I needed to bring the car back, she was so accommodating. I will ABSOLUTELY be using this service again !!!

A customer service-oriented organization where timely, friendly, proactive service is the norm enhances business growth. Customer loyalty is always impacted when organizations employ the right service professionals to represent them. Your service professionals are the face of your business. Every position in every business should exist to help the company serve customers better. A company that continually commits to providing outstanding customer service will stand out above its competitors. And, regarding a shipping transport company, ShipACarDirect ranks #1 as having the customer as the center focus. I only review companies that give either terrible service or outstanding service. Of course, every company's service should be good. That's what we pay for. My experience with ShipACarDirect has been exemplary. I'm writing this review for this company not only for myself, but for all the other customers that feel the same way but was too busy to write a review. My son is a travel nurse, and we have been shipping his car to various states for years. Before using ShipAcarDirect, my experience with other transport companies has been horrific. Most companies would lure you in with low bids, then reach out to you with a dollar amount twice the estimated amount they quote. There were too many hand-offs, hiccups, and bottlenecks in those systems. And just lousy customer service. They lure you in at the beginning of the sale and then take off after they get the deal. This has not been my experience with ShipACarDirect. This company "walks" their "talk" and puts the customer first. They don't underbid. Their pricing is "right on" and not much different than what they quote you. They don't leave you hanging once you commit. They educate you every step of the way. If you are looking for ok service, try the other companies. If you are looking for a trustworthy company with excellent customer service, you can stop looking. ShipACarDirect is #1. This company "walks" their "talk" and puts the customer first. They don't underbid. I have not experienced other companies that can match their service. While ShipACarDirect is a great company, one of my main reason for remaining loyal to this company is the outstanding service I receive every time from Jennifer, my ShipACarDirect contact. Jennifer is absolutely amazing. She's friendly, courteous, and highly intuitive. Jennifer was always there for me when I had questions or concerns and needed some advice. She tuned right into my needs. She handled everything she could for me rather than handing me off to someone else. And she never conveyed that "it's not my job" attitude. She's excellent at multi-tasking as I'm sure she had a lot of customers simultaneously. But she always treated me like I was her only customer. I used safe direct shipping and had Rodney as a broker. He was very polite and got me a "reliable" truck that was leaving the next day. The driver owned his own truck . His name is Eric Gonzalez and his company's name is Mega Auto Transporters, Long Island, NEW York {usdot 2032947 VIN- 640735} Eric met on the street outside my hotel. It was very quick. He got my van to NY on time...but he broke the gas belt by attaching the straps from his truck to the van. The paint was scratched off when he removed it off the truck-one long deep scratch-but my car is old-so I didn't care. I didn't notice the belt hanging down until 2 days later. When he dropped off the car it was on the side of the Long Island Expressway at rush hour. He said he couldn't come down my block-but he never tried. I now realize he did this so no one else could see what he had done to the van. The van was the bottom last car. I guess from rock and things being kicked up from the trucks wheels- or maybe the van was too big for him to safely place on the truck the glass over the back lights were chipped, many dents and dings on both sides of the van. I asked the Driver Eric Gonzalez to just pay for the gas belt to be repaired. He said he would , he gave me his word and said when he got back to Long Island he would call me. He never did. I have called and texted him many time. He always said he would do the right thing. In the beginning of September he promised me that he would mail me a check-he didn't. He did ask me for my bank account number and other information so he could "deposit" it in my account. Of course I didn't give him my information. I have told Rodney about what happened but he said it was out of is hands. I did use him as a broker but I think he should have some responsibility for what happened. Just so everyone knows= I was asking for 1/2 of what the repairs cost. I got a discount of 50 % and was sharing that with the driver. My request for the repairs was 75.00 dollars and Eric Gonzalez would not even pay that . It has been 2 months and I am no longer asking for the money that was due me. Instead I am writing about it. My name is Suzanne I give Safe direct shipping One star for not doing anything about the condition of the van. The star is for Rodney's polite demeanor. I give Eric Gonzalez' Mega Auto Transporters no stanching. I paid 1,400 dollars to Eric and I got a badly beaten car.************************************************************************************ After I wrote the above I was alerted of the note posted by the endanger of safe direct shipping. The day afterI received a phone call from Rodney and he refunded 100 dollars of his fee. The manager Michael said that safe direct is insured up to 500 dollars. I didn't believe it until the money was in my account. SO I have to retract what I wrote about safe direct shipping -I give them 5 stars for not only accepting their portion of responsibility but by backing it up with the dollar. They also said that they would no longer do business with Eric Gonzalez [mega auto transport] I would use safe direct shipping again because they could have just blown me off-but they didn't they stood behind their word. I needed to ship both of my cars across the country, from Virginia to California. Though it may look like a bunch of automated emails from John or the Service Department at first, they're surprisingly not. They're only automated if they were stated in the email as such, other than that they reply at a fairly fast rate (within one business day, maybe faster). Phone calls may be confusing at first (quite a few representatives you can reach individually, which is actually nice) and some can be hard to reach from time to time, just my experience, can't say for the others. Read the FAQ and watch the videos in detail, especially if you're on a time crunch! The video stated you may only need a week notice, but same as moving companies, I believe it's peak season so the carrier was not assigned to me 1 business day later from my preferred pick up date, and cars were picked up 3 business days later than I preferred (my earliest preferred date of course..). Shipping two cars at the same time from one customer cross country may be another complication added to the equation causing the slight delay. I suggest giving them a minimum of two-week notice if you would your car to be picked up on time. My roommates took care of the cars after I flew out of the state. Reading the FAQ and such in detail, mine fell in the category which is not exactly "door-to-door" pick up and delivery due to certain restrictions with the semi assigned in my neighborhoods. So the drop-off and pick ups were within 5 miles of where your residences are. Anything comes up with that talk to a representative and they'll coordinate them. Just keep those in mind. Other than that, they didn't charge my service fees until a carrier was assigned and everything went smoothly except that I was rushing for time. So because of that, I was initially a bit upset that the carriers were assigned one business day later than my preferred pick up date, and didn't show up 3 business days later than the preferred pick up date, but the carrier they worked with (ETA Inc. was assigned to me) was awesome, driver was very communicative and vehicles were delivered safely and 5 days early! I really didn't know what to expect when I called Ship A Car Direct, but I got Paul. He calmly and confidently explained the pricing to me. He put me at ease (but without BS'ing), and that gave me the confidence I needed to proceed. Within a day we'd found me a shipper, I paid, and got the process rolling. Now this is important to note: We did everything ELECTRONICALLY. As it very well SHOULD be in the year 2013 Anno freakin' Domini!! See, throughout this relocation, I've had some other companies wanting me to f*ck around with paper signatures and other pre-digital-age BS. But Paul and I conducted business the way civilized people do: with phone calls, email, digital signatures, and electronic payments. So back to the experience... I was apprehensive about the level of communication I was getting, and expressed as much to Paul. He emailed me back regularly (usually within 3 hours) to assure me that things will be OK. Eventually I heard that the driver (also named Paul, cue Twilight Zone music...) eventually contacted my friend (who would hand the car over) and was working with her to get my car loaded. Then the day before my vehicle was to arrive, Paul (the driver) also contacted me to give me an update. Then 3 hours ahead, he did so again. My car arrived about an hour late, but well within the given window. It was in good condition (albeit dirty and a bit muddy but hey... cross-country transportation, AMIRITE?). So yeah... I was anxious about the level of communication at first, but eventually I got the assurance and phone calls I needed. By the way, about the company name... do the drivers really pick up and ship the car DIRECT? I doubt it. I am pretty sure that if they needed to make a detour (to pick up more cars) they would... and I would actually encourage it, assuming it doesn't make delivery of MY car late. I have to be honest and say that I was extremely concerned to ship my brand new VW Beetle Convertible (super cute) from Washington State to Florida. After reading extensive reviews on so many websites about cars being damaged, trucks breaking down, delivery dates not respected, and pretty much "you take a chance when shipping your car" I was hesitant and actually considered driving from Seattle Washington to Miami Florida (pure insanity). Then I spoke with Paul from Ship a Car Direct, I watched the videos online and read the extensive reviews from very happy customers. What impressed me the most about Paul was his level of professionalism and attention to detail and actually Paul's best quality is that he answers his telephone when one calls (not my experience with other companies). I had many questions and I think one day I called him three times and he answered all three times within a couple of rings and he knew exactly who I was and answered the questions professionally and effectively. It was because of Paul that I decided to send my new car across the country in an open carrier. My car arrived without any damage, clean inside (but dirty from the trip on the outside), and with the exact miles that it had when I dropped it off in Seattle. The drivers were professional, over communicated with me almost daily from the time that they left Washington. Two days before the actual arrival of the car, I received frequent texts from the driver informing me where they were and how long it was going to take to arrive in my home. My car arrived at 6am as promised and it was handled with such care and professionalism. I have to say that I was extremely content with the service and would call Paul again to help me find the best carrier out there. New To The Auto Transport Experience: This is a real review. I was not asked to write this review, but was motivated to do so by the quality of auto transport service I recently experienced. Having never used an auto transportation service, I really didn't know what to expect. After hours of looking for quality transport options available, I ended up choosing Ship A Car Direct to arrange the shipment for our 2004 Honda Civic from the Sacramento area to Dallas. The car was picked up near my home on Thursday (2/8/24). The transportation was completed this past Tuesday (2/13/24). Ship A Car Direct gave me a fair quote from the beginning. They weren't the cheapest, but the companies offering the cheapest didn't have great reviews. I quickly learned when I began the process that no company can promise a perfect delivery to every customer. This prompted me to further read reviews and see how companies handled transports that ended up having problems. I followed some low rated reviews of Ship A Car Direct and monitored the customer's interaction with the company from the beginning through resolution. This is what caused me to go with Ship A Car Direct. At the end of the reviews, the company showed a commitment to resolve problems and arrive at solutions that customers were satisfied with. On the logistics side of this transportation, everything was handled as presented to me. Car pickup was within the date range that I was initially told and the same for the car's arrival date. No price adjustments were requested at any time. The company they contracted my transportation with was local to my area and were available for communication throughout the process. The driver contacted my son a day before arrival and established a pickup time and location. My son said the pickup was seamless on his end of the transportation. Excellent service!! We needed to have our Toyota Tundra out in NY for work purposes. Since the truck already had 316k+ miles on it - and since we live in WA state - we decided it'd be best to ship the truck rather than drive it. My husband booked with a transport company who ultimately didn't show up. At this point, I checked with the BBB and found out that the non-trustworthy company was not affiliated - so we ended all contracts with them and called Ship A Car Direct (which appeared to have excellent ratings and which was given the highest rating by the BBB). Ship A Car Direct did everything the other company didn't do: 1). They answered their phones; 2). they were polite and courteous; 3). they explained to me how the car-shipping/contracting system worked and gave me a time/cost estimate based on that system; 4). they were by no means pushy or aggressive - to the contrary, they gave me information, gave me their contact info, and told me to think it over; 5). when I ultimately called them back to say that I was interested in going with their company, they stayed in constant, friendly contact with me. The truck arrived at its NY destination without any troubles. Payments were made by cashier's check at the time of truck pick up, and the driver was an ultimate professional. Best of all: Ship a Car Direct's final cost was LESS than that of any of the other non-BBB affiliated companies my husband had looked at previously. I ABSOLUTELY recommend this company. In an arena where customers feel vulnerable because they don't know who they're letting transport their vehicle (especially since they can't get a hold of any customer service agents), SACD quells fears. They're honest, direct, friendly, timely - and, like I said, they come in under others' costs. Being a first-time buyer of a vehicle off the Internet, I chose Ship A Car Direct because of their highly positive reviews and for their obvious expertise in the vehicle-shipping industry. Ship A Car Direct will thoroughly inform you and fully support you throughout the process. This does not mean that you are entirely uninvolved, because it is useful and appropriate for you to be in direct contact with the carrier dispatcher and the transport driver from prior to pickup through to delivery, so having direct contact numbers for voice & text messaging with them is important. Request a copy of Ship A Car Direct's contract with the carrier, and be aware of how large the truck & trailer will be, just in case your neighborhood streets make access to your home difficult for the driver. If your purchase is like mine, based upon photos and phone calls, have your salesperson provide two additional contact names, just in case an emergency causes the primary and secondary contacts to be unavailable to the transport driver, which did occur in my case. Request to receive the pre-loading inspection photos and report that the driver completes at the pickup location, and upon delivery, have the driver point out where all the pictured scratches or scuffs exist on the vehicle. My driver was extraordinarily observant and documented very subtle issues that I would not have immediately recognized. I paid extra for my vehicle to travel in an enclosed transport, and after being carefully unloaded by the driver and his assistant, my vehicle was entirely clean and damage-free. Consider tipping your driver if everything goes well, as it did in my case. Overall, Ship A Car Direct is a great agency for first-timers who benefit from their educational and supportive approach, which turns myself and others into repeat customers. read more

This was not the first time I've used Ship a Car Direct. Last year I bought a car in Los Angeles and had it shipped to me in NYC and SACD was the company that the seller (Radical Auto) recommended. Matt at SACD did a FANTASTIC job and the enclosed carrier was great. My family just had a need to ship another car from FL to VA and I called Matt at SACD directly this time and again, this process was seamless. They found an open carrier for me within a couple days and sent this car straight to my mother in VA. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the carrier delivered a few hours later than they said and couldn't fit on her street. She had to go out and meet him about a half-mile away. Not a big deal, really, but not "perfect." (But what is?) Anyway, I do some "Yelping" and have found it helpful... BUT I was looking at all these reviews here of SACD and most seem really negative and nasty. That is very surprising to me as I've now used this company twice and they have been excellent both times. There are some angry people out there and I know when things go wrong with a furniture/car move, a meal... if one doesn't like the ending of a movie... they love to use Yelp as a weapon. But it made me curious to see if my experience with this company was the exception, and when I went to the other online review spots for SACD, they were overwhelmingly positive. So I'm not sure if Yelp weighs things to the negative or what. It seems like all these angry people write A LOT of words so maybe Yelp just posts the longest reviews. If that's the case, this one should get posted. We'll see... But again, both of my experiences with SACD (and Matt and the whole team there) have been terrific. I needed to ship my vehicle from AZ to VA so I searched online for companies who ship cars. That alone was a huge job...there were so many to choose from. I located a website that gives multiple quotes so I entered my shipping information and immediately afterwards I was bombarded with calls/emails from different companies. It was overwhelming! So, I decided to look at customer reviews to narrow down my search. Ship a Car Direct was one of three companies I selected. I called each one however, I got a good vibe from Ship a Car Direct. I looked at the companies website the user video(s) were very helpful and the company information overall was good. I was impressed that the owner actually responded to the customer reviews (yelp.com) and even if the review was unfavorable he did not make excuses or was not on the defense but instead offered a resolve. Impressive! After choosing I worked with Jason...he was fantastic! He took me through the process and told me what to expect. Jason returned my calls and responded to my emails in a timely fashion. I found him to be professional. He assigned me a carrier (Mario's Express which was equally wonderful). The carriers owner and the driver both came to pick the car up on a Monday. The car was to be delivered on Saturday however, the driver managed to deliver the car that Friday afternoon even with inclement weather up and down the east coast! This was my first time shipping a vehicle and for me the process was as easy as 123...done! Thank you, Ship a Car Direct and Mario's Express for the great service!! I decided to contact Ship a Car Direct after the 1st company I chose had not booked the shipment after 5 days. They likely quoted too low of a price and could not sell the load. Ship a Car Direct was $150 more, so I was paying more than most of the quotes I had previously received. Jennifer confirmed my order and had it booked in 3 hours. I was not only shocked but grateful. My car was being shipped from a dealership in OH to my home in MN, so every day it sat had me more concerned. After calling the driver, I learned he was close by. It was loaded and on the way 3 hours later. Everyone was very helpful ... until it was delivered and the rocker panel was scratched from the boots of the delivery driver. My sister made a note of it on the BOL, since I was not home at the time. Since that time I had been contacted by Maricel about the shipment via email. I was asked about the delivery, so I told them I was trying to determine how the scratches occurred. Unfortunately wires got crossed and there was a mix up on their end, so I never heard back. UPDATE: After seeing the review on Yelp, the owner, Michael contacted me within hours, apologized for the confusion and refunded the deposit. More important, he wanted to finish to process, including getting that claim started with the transport company. That really shows their commitment to customer service and making his company thrive. Kudos Michael! The quality control agent, Maricel, also called me directly and apologized for the mix up. Mistakes happen, but more importantly, they made good on it. A rarity in today's world. Definitely will be using Ship a Car Direct again in the future. read more

My car was recently (Sept 2014) shipped cross country from CA to NY by Ship a car direct. This was my first time shipping a car. As many others, I had my doubts and worries from hearing and reading the bad experiences many people had. I did some research and found Ship a car direct had some of the best reviews and they were also rated very highly on the BBB which is not common for most of the other shipping companies. From start to finish the process was very easy. I requested a quote online and Emily was the broker that responded with a fair price. She was very patient and knowledgeable. She explained the whole process and even sent out many videos that helped alleviate some concerns. When I became anxious and needed more information, Emily was there to help again. Shipping my car occurred exactly as they described without any issues. Once my carrier was selected, he contacted me and gave me notice on when he would pick up my car. He showed up exactly on time. My car was shipped extremely fast, and only took 6 days to arrive in NY without any issues. Again the carrier called me to inform me prior to his arrival and was delivered on time without problem. Emily was a great throughout the entire process and checked up on me in case I had questions. I will definitely use Ship a car direct again in the future. For those that are still anxious about shipping a car. Dont be. Ship a car direct is honest, fair, fast, and reliable. Dont be fooled by other companies that quote you an extremely low rate that is most likely fake. I had a really great experience with this company, the rep Emily that i worked with exclusively was extremely nice and helpful. She always answered my phone calls in an extremely timely manner and was nothing but nice during the entire process. I had reservations about shipping my car cross country, (CA to GA) but was moving and didn't have any other choice because i didn't want to drive across country in the winter. I researched for many months prior to my move and this company came really highly reviewed. I really liked the fact that they did not require a up front deposit like some other places I had spoken with. I watched all of the FAQ videos that were on their website and they really helped a lot. The carrier Jeff, (Allen transport) that they assigned me with was super nice and always answered my calls the whole time that my vehicle was in transport.He was very accommodating and courteous which isn't what I was expecting at all. I actually received my car a day or two sooner than I thought I would which was awesome since the car did not get picked up before I left. The delay in picking up my car was the only inconvenience with the entire process but I understand that because I was shipping right at Christmas time not all carriers were picking up around this time. All in all the process took about a week and a half or so. The price I paid for my move was extremely reasonable I believe, I got quotes from about 5 companies and even though Ship a car direct was not the cheapest quote I feel coupled with the customer service and peace of mind I got a great deal. I recently shipped my 2023 Mazda CX-5 from Beaverton, OR to Irving, TX using Ship A Car Direct, and overall had a very positive experience. My original quote was $1,200 with a 5-day pickup window. When no carrier accepted within that timeframe, the team clearly explained market conditions and suggested a small adjustment. After increasing the price to $1,300, a carrier was assigned and my vehicle was picked up and delivered safely within a reasonable timeframe, which I appreciated given my tight schedule. I especially want to recognize **Lottie** for her professionalism, responsiveness, and empathy throughout the process. She stayed proactive and worked closely with dispatch to secure a carrier without pushing unreasonable pricing. I also appreciate her supervisor/manager, who took my concerns seriously and handled them professionally. The assigned carrier was **Scania Transportation (Seattle-based)**. This was the first time that I shipped a car coast to coast so I was very apprehensive on the whole process. I had requested quotes from other carriers and websites and was bombarded by a lot of spam for quotes that were what I thought too low or too high. For those carriers that had what I thought was a "fair" quote, the negative reviews I read just did give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. At my wits end, I contacted Ship-A-Car-Direct via e-mail for an online quote and was pleased when I was called by Matt after normal business hours. Matt was originally from the same city in Virginia where the car was being shipped to, and I immediate felt comfortable working with him. I felt that their price was in line with what it should cost, and I was impressed with their Better Business Bureau rating along with their damage free delivery promise. I was in no real rush to get the car shipped and told Matt to make it happen after getting all the details from. The next morning he had arranged for a carrier to pick up the car that day, I made the online broker payment, and 5 days later, my car was delivered, damage free! I couldn't ask for an easier experience and I am very happy with the level of service I received. I would be remiss if I also didn't say that Cypress Auto Shippers from Anaheim, CA was the carrier and they did a great job in transporting and arranging delivery. All-in-all a great team to work with and it couldn't of been easier. I would definitely recommend Ship-A-Car-Direct and I plan on using them when I finish my '68 Camaro restoration. After a terrible experience with e-zmovers to ship my furniture from Michigan to Massachusetts, I dreaded interactions with moving / shipping companies. I contacted ship a car direct after some more unpleasant interactions with vehicle shipping companies. My experience with ship a car direct was very easy and pleasant (to my surprise). I interacted with Eric to get a quote and a mover for shipping my car from Michigan to Massachusetts. I had provided a really tight window for Ship a Car Direct and I was very happy with their approach in answering all questions and being open about any fees associated with the move. I really appreciate their prompt follow up about the condition of the vehicle at the time of pick up and delivery. Ship a Car Direct assigned my move to UZ Transport. The driver was easier than Ship a Car Direct to work with! ;) He called me one day before the pick up to check with me about a pick up location and he actually agreed to meet my friend at a parking lot that was convenient for my friend without creating a scene (because the car is RWD with summer tires and cannot be driven much in snow). A friend of mine, who did not have much experience with a MT was going to meet the driver at the time of delivery. The driver came to a location that was just 0.2 miles away from my apartment to make it easy for my friend to drive the car without stalling!! I have shipped my car three times now, relocating for my husband's job...two of which were cross-country and one several states away. I must say that this was the BEST experience yet! I had a truly positive experience with Ship-A-Car Direct from start to finish! I dealt with Matt, who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was readily available to answer questions and set me at ease throughout the entire process. I was provided with a reasonable quote, which was lower than competitors' i researched. I was also provided with videos via email to explain the shipping process and answered many more questions I had. It is very stressful to ship your vehicle--to put it in a stranger's hands, allow them to drive away with it, and just hope that it shows up without any damage. I am usually faced with a great deal of anxiety over it, but while using Ship-A-Car Direct and their 100% damage coverage with no questions asked policy, I felt completely at ease. The transport company I was assigned to, Ace Auto Trans, Inc. was tremendous as well. They contacted me initially to make sure I had their contact information and to review pickup/delivery dates. They contacted me frequently throughout the shipping process to let me know what was going on and where the driver was at the time. I was constantly kept in the loop, which helped me feel confident and comfortable. If I ever have to ship my car again, I would call Ship-A-Car Direct without hesitation! Everything went as I was told. Ask for Kosta. I would use them again. Small glitch in getting short notice on the pick-up time for the car, but the driver and I worked out an acceptable time and everything went well overall. Car was delivered exactly when promised in the early morning three days later and in perfect condition. Ship a Car provided short, informative videos on their web site on every question I had and some I didn't know I had. Shipped the car from Tampa FL to Philly PA for $495 net of a rebate in January 2017. Prices vary based on time of the year, but this was a good time to ship north, because tourists are shipping cars south for the winter and drivers don't want to return north empty. Price would have been higher in the spring. Had six other quotes from $325 to $635, but their price seemed fair and reasonable. I read reviews on transportreviews.com where some companies provide low quotes, then raise them when carriers won't take the job. I didn't want to get into a bidding war and just wanted to pay a fair price. Their original quote was $495, which was $300 for the driver and $195 for them, net of a rebate at the end, but they settled the deal for $350 for the driver after a few days with no takers and they took the extra $50 difference paid to the driver from their side. So, my net cost remained at $495 after the rebate even though the driver was paid more than they estimated. They didn't even try to make me pay more, which I appreciated a lot. I am a mother to a newborn and toddler. To anyone that couldn't guess, that means I don't have time to waste. I decided to ship my car last minute and began dreading what I thought would be a painful process. I was ready for scams, lies, and unmotivated customer service. I received none of those. Portia sent plenty of emails informing me of the process that would take place. She called every day to follow-up with me. When I finally decided to go with Ship a Car Direct it was later in the afternoon. Portia actually called me to let me know she was going home for the day but wanted to see if I submitted my request form before she left that way she could find a carrier for me. Not even an hour passed by and I received another call from Portia contacting me to let me know there was a carrier for my vehicle. She also emailed me with their information. The carrier, Cross Country Trucking LLC, called me prior to pick up. They asked if it was okay to come one day early and were flexible with my hours for that day. Also, I was told there was a 7-10 day time frame that my car would arrive to Florida. No. It actually arrived the following Monday at my sister's driveway. Only 4 days. They called my sister well ahead and gave her plenty of time to be ready for their arrival. Was it worth the money? Absolutely. The customer service was unbelievably good and you can tell everyone took pride in their work. I could not be more thankful in knowing that's one less stress prior to our move. This was my first time EVER having a car shipped that was purchased off EBay. I checked around like everybody else would to see what type of offers different places were giving. I came across Ship a car direct when I was browsing the net. What made lean toward Ship a car was the owner have posted videos on you tube and kinda put my mind at ease watching all the videos and also along with Jason a employee that works at Ship a car. I must have blown up his phone and email 50 times!! LOL. Jason also put my mind at ease and said that they would try their very best to get my car here without a hiccup ( which they did ) because they use an extensive protocol where each company they have dispatched goes through their check list. I was a little scarred that my baby ( Buick Grand National ) was not going to make it here in one piece. But, it did make it here in one piece and not a scratch, mark, or any other thing else wrong with it. Better yet, the driver you could not ask for a nicer person / company. The driver alone was VERY careful, meticulous, and overall very protective and professional!! I chose to have my car shipped in a covered transporter ( just a little more money but well worth it ) due to how nice the car was and also I didn't want anything messing up a perfect car. ( aka: weather, rocks, etc.. ) I would highly recommend Ship a Car Direct to anybody that wants a car shipped without any problems!! Very satisfied customer. read more

I scheduled vehicle transportation three weeks in advance. Before booking, they bombarded me with nonstop phone calls and texts. Once they had my business, the communication completely stopped. I initially spoke with a woman named Kay and stayed in contact with her daily--sometimes multiple times a day. After confirming everything and providing all required information, I was told I would receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. That never happened. No email, no call, no text. A week before the scheduled pickup, I started calling daily. Every time I was told that only Kay could help me because she was "handling my account" and that she would call me back. She never did. Today is Friday, 1/2/26, the very first day of my scheduled pickup window (1/2-1/4), and I still had zero contact from the company. When I called again, I got the same excuse--that Kay would call me back. I refused to wait and demanded to speak with a manager. After being put on hold, a man answered and immediately interrupted me, saying he didn't understand why I was on the line and that he was holding to speak with a manager because his car was scheduled for pickup today and nothing had been confirme. Apparently, my call had somehow been crossed. I had to call back again. I was finally transferred to a manager named Leiza, who admitted my information was in the system but no truck was available. She also stated that I was the fourth person she spoke with that day experiencing the same issue. That alone says everything. She told me she would "do her best" but didn't want to mislead me--and that if she did find a driver, it wouldn't be until next week, completely outside my scheduled window. This company is disorganized, unprofessional, and completely unreliable. They take your information, make promises, then disappear. If you value your time, money, or sanity-- STAY
