I was really impressed and would recommend these apartments to anyone looking to move to the area but not ready to purchase a home yet.

I won't get on my soapbox about that, but Stillwater is one of the few apartments that will take any breed. That was the first positive for me. The staff are super nice and very accommodating for changes that occurred during our build process. They love animals and there are two fenced dog areas for dogs to be let off leash. The complex is clean and I felt very safe walking my dog at night. The location is great for military families as Camp LeJeune is only 3 miles away, Wilmington is about an hour and Jacksonville is about 45 minutes. We had trouble with our air conditioning working and maintenance was there to fix it within 15 minutes. The apartment was clean when we moved in. They have a nice big pool and a small playground for young children. I would definitely recommend staying here.

First, they are incredibly empathetic towards military families. My husband and I were able to sign a short-term lease (6 months) with no hassle whatsoever. They were also extremely flexible with our move-in date, which changed probably a dozen times before we actually were able to move in because of my husband's hectic schedule. Second, they are advocates for the tenants and will do what they can to support us. We are the first tenants to have a furnished apartment. Julie and Amanda worked with us AND the furniture rental company to ensure a smooth move, fair pricing, and a fair contract. I only had to contact the furniture rental company once myself to ask a few questions. Third, they are just plain NICE. I have read so many horror stories about apartments and landlords near Jacksonville, and I can say with confidence that Stillwater is a dream compared to those other places. Amanda was extremely thorough when reviewing the lease with my husband and I and made sure that we understood every contract and agreement that we signed upon move in. Now that we are here, the positive attitude, hospitality, and sincerity continues. Everyone is very friendly. And finally, the leasing office plans community "events" about once per month. One month, tenants were invited to a complimentary breakfast in the clubhouse one Saturday morning. This month, there will be a cook out with live music and a few local vendors selling fun things like funnel cakes and popcorn. The apartments themselves are very nice. Stillwater was built very recently, and we are the first tenants to live in our one bedroom apartment. Our one bedroom includes a living room, kitchen, laundry room (in unit laundry YAY!), bathroom, bedroom, and balcony with storage space. There is a 24-hour fitness center with a complete dumbell set, bench, treadmills, stationary bike, elliptical, and various weight machines. There is also a small play area for children. The clubhouse has a business center with complimentary WIFI, free Starbucks coffee, and sometimes even some treats. There is a resort style pool with 2 grill areas and plenty of deck chairs. There is also a small "playground" for children in the "courtyard' of the complex. Parking is ample and garage space is available. The location is fantastic. The complex is located minutes away from Camp LeJeune's back gate, and Sneads Ferry is just far enough away to escape the craziness of Western Boulevard. There is a Hess gas station, Dollar General, and Post Office right down the road. Sneads Ferry Library, Food Lion, CVS, and a few restaurants are within the general vicinity. The Top Sail Beach is about 10 minutes away (driving). In short, Stillwater at Southbridge is one of the best you'll get if you are looking for a place to live near Camp LeJeune, Jacksonville, or in the Sneads Ferry area. The staff is incredible when it comes to service, friendliness, and hospitality. It is a great value for all of the amenities and peace of mind that comes with living here. Neighbors are respectful and quiet, for the most part. I am definitely enjoying my stay here, and wish that other apartment complexes would take advice from these guys. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Since this was our 1st rental outside of a family home on DE shore, we were very surprised by the upcharges (sheets & towels not included in the quoted weekly rental rate) and non-disclosure on what you don't get with your rental - No beach towels at a beach house! Really!!! 1st call into management office with our list of items needed resulted in drop off of kitchen towels. 2nd call resulted in trash and recycle bins emptied. (They were both overflowing when we arrived - not good) Items never corrected - replacement of 2 broken lounge chairs (9 adults were present, 4 loungers total) and light bulbs in master bathroom never replaced. Next time I'm going to ask for room measurements, as the house was much smaller than we expected by the photos. And ask what you have to provide on your own; ie, trash bags, dishwasher soap and TP if you use a lot. I would have preferred to have an agent meet us on the property so our issues could have been immediately addressed rather that making frequent calls to the office. Until the next time . . .

First year: 8203 fifth Avenue, Topsail Island, NC The first year the property was unclean. And I don't mean it was dusty. It was downright dirty. The carpets were beyond filthy, so much that we all wore shoes inside the entire week. The mattresses were likely 20 years old. Fridge was dirty. Dishes were in cabinets dirty. Sinks and toilets horrible. Bad bad bad. We decided to try again. Because things happen. 2021: Second year: 1218 N. Shore drive, surf city, NC This year we paid a substantial sum to stay in a beach front property. What a mistake. It was worse than the first year. The air conditioning never got lower than 75 degrees. It was like sleeping in a personal pocket of hell. The smell! Let me tell you about the horrific smell!! It was like a punch in the face of cat urine each and every day. First thing you smelled when you walked in. Barf. It took us a full day to clean the home to have a livable smell. The hot water pressure in the kitchen sink and second shower was non-existent. Dripped from faucets. Maddening. Washing machine smelled like a teenage boy's personal locker room. The light cover in room 2 was missing. Exposed wiring. Light in room 3 did not work at all. Fan in second bath did not work. Refrigerator was filthy upon arrival. Gate to beach from back porch needed the muscles of two men to open and close. Outdoor "shower" was a short hose, hooked to absolutely nothing. Bathroom 2 looked like a prison bathroom, complete with a chipping tub. Turning on the water was like trying to solve a rubix cube. And then trying to turn it off was a lot of fun also. It was not a usable bathroom whatsoever. Bathroom 1 had enough mold on the shower curtain to cure polio. Phone did not work. When we contacted the company we were told they came into the joke to check for these issues. No one came. This was a lie. Reported to BBB to attempt a fair resolution. We were ignored by the company when they text and we responded w the above noted issues and voicing our displeasure with the proposed "resolution." We were offered a "generous" refund of 7% of our stay complete with a 5% discount for our next stay DURING OFF SEASON. HORRIBLE. RUN. RUN FAST. RUN FAR.

We stayed at Sunny Delight from 8/1-8/8/2026. We have been coming to Topsail Island for 15 years,…read moreand we were highly disappointed with our experience for the first time with Coastline Realty. Upon entry we were extremely disappointed to find many cardboard beer boxes & trash in the foyer left from the previous renters with dirt & sand in the entry way. The carpeted stairs were covered in sand & dirt, clearly no vacuuming had been completed. The kitchen counters & table had not been wiped down at all, there were food particles everywhere and visible glasses rings on the table. The kitchen floor had not been swept. The dining rooms chairs had sand, dirt & crumbs encrusted on them. The living room rug was dirty, the edges under the couch were filthy with sand and dirt & visible food like whole pretzels and crackers, again clearly noting not even a basic sweeping or vacuuming was performed. We found sand, dirt and crumbs on the mattress pads of 3 bedrooms and all of the furniture had not been wiped down in quite a long time. It was obvious even the bare minimum cleaning occurred in the bedrooms either. There were no hand towels for the kitchen which typically comes with linens. The house had lots of water damage spots on walls. Many of the walls were grimy and dirty. Unfortunately, cleanliness was the least of the concerns. The 3rd floor AC was not working at all, leaving the room 85 degrees when we arrived, it was stifling! The home has multiple serious safety issues. All levels of the deck & stairs have multiple nails sticking up and not flush with the wood. There are multiple spindles that are missing and broken/loose as well as stairs with missing floorboard pieces. With small children with us this was a substantial hazard that without our constant vigilance could have ended in horribly. The walkway out to the beach also has loose and missing boards as well and the drop off to the beach was so steep we often had to step onto the dunes to get down, which is a big issue for beach preservation. The pool railing to walk into the pool was loose and moved as you grabbed it for guidance. The gate to the pool area was hanging with one screw and could not be secured leaving the pool area open to potential accidents. The filter was not running due to the pool not being filled water enough water to safely run the filter. The last step from the deck to the pool is completely broken off, not even present. The filter was not changed in the hot tub for more than 30 according to the display on the hot tub. Knives handles are broken and chipped. There is a cockroach problem, with many being found on ALL levels of the house. We have seen these outside the property or even on the first floor of the homes previously , but to see them present on all the floors including the third floor was disturbing. There is a severe leak in the sliding door in the living room. The door is clearly not sealed properly and the frame is damaged and cracked with visible long term water damaged. In the rain, a significant amount of water came in through this crack. Water was all over the rug and floor causing a potential fall hazard. This water was also leaking into the light switch on the wall, which would be another serious hazard. It has clearly been an issue for a long time, which also means there is likely mold within the walls, potentially a health concern if this is black mold or at the very least an aggravate for someone with allergies. When we planned this trip to honor my late husbands wishes to visit Topsail together and spend time as a family. We did not expect to be met with such a disappointing experience and have to spend some much of our precious family time dealing with issues. If you are looking to rent this property, I would ask for updated pictures/videos of the safety concerns, because we were horrified that this property is being rented in the state it was in. After I spoke with Bud, who is the broker for Coastline Realty and explained that the cleaning issues(albeit being pretty disgusting) were the least of our concerns, he assured me that the property was safe to be rented and I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT IT IS NOT, these issues are clearly not being taken seriously. I had requested that our family be compensated for the horrible conditions of the home and was assured that at the very least I would be credited the cleaning fee back. As of today, 8/17 I have still not received that credit after being told at least 4 times it would be taken care of. Renters beware, not only is the house in very poor condition for being an $11,000/ week rental(which is not even considered peak season) the realty company themselves provide very poor support and communication for serious issues and concerns. I also posted a review on the Coastline Realty page for "Sunny Delight" but it has not been posted and I doubt future renters will ever seen it!!

The next day the realty company calls and states the owner doesn't allow the A/C to be set below 73. 73 seriously? Then when I said this was my unit for a week to live as I please the Realty agent threatened to have us evicted. There was nothing in the rental agreement about this 73 degree temperature nonsense and the threat to evict us really put a stink on our vacation. What the agent threatened is complete utter nonsense because we were not violating the rental contract and were not damaging the property. It is extremely frustrating to have a vacation you have been looking forward to all year ruined by day 3.

Because we back up to marshland, "our dreams" included the construction of a massive retaining wall to account for the roughly 10' drop off from our back porch. Additionally, we selected a massive saltwater pool complete with upgraded cool decking on top of concrete and a custom fence. Lots of moving parts, certainly... And our pool company handled every single one of them -- literally no detail was missed. Special shout out to Jason Anderson with Coastal Land Worx for installing the pool and building our massive retaining wall! They partner with Premier Pools to truly create the Dream Team! And although we went (slightly) over budget, it's only because we chose to expand the project midway through...and our wonderful team accepted the challenge without hesitation. Again...go with this team. The process of pool installation is a massive and sometimes frustrating undertaking -- that's part of the deal, and you should know that going in. But if you choose to go for it....go with Premier Pools and Jason Anderson. You'll be exceptionally happy that you did.

Called a week later and the refund check had still not been mailed. Sleezy slimy firm and I'm letting the NC Real Estate Commision deal with them. After researching hundreds of homes that fit our preferences, I selected my rental online, (Shipwatch I Stonetouch 1784-4). Having been used to a beach home we wanted as much privacy as we could get. When I phoned the realtor to reserve the townhome I specifically asked if it was an end unit and was assured it was as I was told a second time I called before making a deposit. I was so angry and upset to arrive after an eleven hour drive to find out it wasn't an end unit at all. I immediately phoned the agency and told them I was told I was getting an end unit in the complex; they apologized and said there must have been a misunderstanding. I told her no, that their reservationist obviously didn't know the properties or didn't care. That was a huge disappointment and another disappointment was when we entered the townhome and seen how poorly the unit was maintained. All of the walls in this condo are in need of serious repair and painting. There were patch spots all over the place and the time wasn't taken to paint over the patches. It was as if they just didn't care. You could tell there was water damage, the ceiling above the kitchen table was peeling and cracking. The private bathroom on the third floor was in deplorable condition. The tub was above the kitchen floor and the reason for the water damage on the ceiling. When you were in the shower it creaked and made noises. We were scared to death to use the tub for fear it would fall through the ceiling. There was no furniture on the top deck and both screen doors to either deck did not work. Also there was supposed to be a grill, no grill was to be found and we had to change our plans for July 4th due to this. I have never encountered a unit in such a shabby and poorly maintained condition before. The unit was not what it was represented to be. I have rented several different homes over the years from different agencies and have never had a problem, UNTIL THIS YEAR! I realize there isn't much they could do about lying about which unit we were renting but they should be ashamed and embarrassed to list this place as a rental unit. I will never rent from Century 21 Action again and I will make sure that no one else I know rents from this realtor either!
