As first-time homeowners with a septic system, we relied on them for honest, professional help. Instead, we got deception, disrespect, and potential property damage. They came out, inspected the system, and said the pumps were fine but we needed the pit pumped and 3 float valves replaced. We were quoted $600 for the valves and $385 for the pump. We agreed and scheduled service for May 22. When the technician arrived, he unexpectedly demanded an extra $40 in cash for a hose that was supposedly needed to reach the bottom. He said the office gets angry if he doesn't collect money on every visit. We were confused and told him we already had a formal quote. He became rude and walked away mid-conversation. Without our knowledge or consent, the technician shut off both the septic pump and the alarm system--disabling the two systems that are meant to protect our home from sewage overflow. He then quietly left the property without saying a word. We only found out what had happened because the second company we hired confirmed it: * The pump was manually shut off. * The alarm was disabled. * Our system was left at risk of dangerous overflow. * No work had been done on the valves. When we called the office to report this, a woman named Debbie hung up on us. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. This wasn't a misunderstanding--it was willful negligence. GFS left our system compromised and our home at risk. We are filing a complaint with the Virginia Department of Health. If you value your home, your safety, and basic human decency, stay far away from GFS.

I called Great Falls and they were able to come out same day. The technician, Mauricio Apolinares immediately diagnosed the problem as a blockage between the tank and the house. While the tank was fairly full he doubted that was what was causing the back up. He dug out the inlet access port and sure enough, the baffle that empties into the tank was completely clogged. Have property in Great Cacapon, WV and was looking to get a well installed. As I always do,…read moreattempted to get two estimates. One of these estimates was via Mark from B.W. Smith Well Drilling. Mark showed up on time and was very thorough in walking my property and going over options. The other contractor stood me up two times! Keep in mind, I drive 3 hours to meet people. Once we got the permit in hand, I scheduled the drilling with Chris. He was up front and told me the lead time, which ended up being less then two weeks. On the day of the installation, Mark and Chris showed up exactly when they said' they be there! The were both very down to earth and professional while walking the property and analyzing how to setup their rigs. During the installation, I talked to Chris and Mark and explained to them that I never got to watch a well being drilled. The guys were very accommodating, they stopped work and would explain to me what they were doing, the challenges, etc. Mark even took time to explain when he uses certain supplies and how the other contractors will use cheaper supplies to pad their profits. At the end of the day, the guys knocked this 180' well installation out of the park! It couldn't have went any better and I couldn't have had two nicer guys. But, I'm kind of glad it took three calls before I reached someone at B&B Appliance Repair. It wasn't an emergency, but had it been, they would have been out there the next morning. Instead, the owner coordinated with my tenant, and the stove was fixed in a timely manner. The bill was sent via text to me which allowed me to stay home and tend to other matters instead of driving 60 miles to Winchester. I own a duplex which means I have double the number of appliances. I know who to call next time one needs repairing. And I'll bet anything, I'll have to call just one time.

It took them no time to find the problem. They had to order the part and said it should be in by Thursday, and they would call that morning (today) with an ETA. True to their word a call came in early, and we were told between 11-1. Once again, they came in the time quoted. They talked with my husband for a while and discussed the type of issue we were having, saying it was not the first time they had to replace that same part in a Maytag. My husband was very satisfied with them. Rest assured if we have any future appliance problems, they will be the people we call.
