Where the locals linger, hotel staff recommended burger & whitefish. Ordered both of each. Very tasty above average bar food up a coupla notches. Ordered coleslaw w/fish and it helped moisten it up. Xlnt chippage. Reasonable prices. Two thumbs up!

Staying at a hotel near by, this was the only place to get dinner without having to drive another 20 miles. Ordered Broccoli Cheese Soup - needs some work, but edible and a Pasty which was very good. I finished it at the hotel and actually wished I had another one! No ice at the hotel, so I got bottled water to go.

Enjoyed our stop at Shirley's Cove. Whitefish sandwich and Beef Pastie, Youper tradition.

Hungry/thirsty and north of the bridge? Try this local place. Friendly waitress who also cooked our lunch. Pasties are authentic and the whitefish sandwich fried and tasty. Oberon makes a perfect compliment.

This is a great UP bar. The whitefish is fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is a nice mix of locals and tourists.

This place is so close to the local fishing dock that the whitefish could not possibly be any fresher.

After a long day on the island trying to decide and find a good place to have our dinner . Stopped to check the menu they had outside & people ( clients)who came from inside told us how pleased they were with the food they had .So , we stepped in and we were impressed how clean and beautiful was inside . I ordered a ribeye and my husband had ribs with mashed potatoes& vegetables . EVERYTHING was delicious! P.S -Waiting for our food I start reading the reviews on Yelp and seeing so many bad reviews I start being anxious . Well , we were very happy with our food! Regarding the service /waitress we realized they were young people from Europe a bit quite ,maybe because of the language barrier and culture but very nice and polite & hard working people. Definitely we will return to this restaurant

We waited about 5-10 minutes while she took a long, involved take-out order. After she hung up, she never made eye contact with us and didn't say she would be right back. She left and we stood there being ignored by the other hostess for about five more minutes before we finally left.

Some dishes were on a salty side, but overall amazing meal. The service was great. We had Cassie on the first night and Jamie on the second night. They're both wonderful even though it's super packed. I got a lot of local tips. The place was nice and cute. It's somewhat small inside, but outside seating was better anyway (of course the view!). We had more than positive experiences here both at RoamInn and Tracey's. We will definitely be back.

Shout out to Eve, our server, who was awesome. She stopped by a few times during our meal to check on us and offered some great suggestions on the food, drinks, and potential fun activities during our stay. The food was fantastic. I had fish and chips and my wife had the potato chip whitefish. Both were incredible. We each had a drink. My wife had a glass of wine and I got the coffee old fashioned. Let me tell you, that old fashioned, you've got to get it. It was like eating a bite of Cherry pie with a sip of good coffee. Tracey's is hands down THE dinner spot in Munising. Don't miss out on it.

The sunset would have been gorgeous from the dining room too, but it's something special to sit outside here and watch the sun go down over the lake. We had a very friendly waitress, but she had not been trained well for a higher end restaurant. For example, she stood next to me and asked me to pass her my husband's glass for a water refill when there was a space next to him where she should have filled it without interrupting our meal. She cleared two of our plates and asked if we were ready for dessert, leaving all the other dirty dishes on the table. She rarely checked back, and I never got a water refill and needed one. She was very sweet and tried, but I believe it was a training issue because bussers were doing things like tossing drinks into the grass right in front of customers, which is not something you'd ever expect to see in a restaurant at this price point. Regardless, the food was excellent. I recommend their roasted root vegetables, salmon, scallops, and chicken dishes. I thought the Greek meatballs were ok (the tomatoes and balsamic reduction were scrumptious), but my daughter thought they were awesome. The only other thing I'd change besides more training for wait staff is the women's bathroom. There's hardly room to sit down without your knees hitting the door--that is, the stall WITH a door, because one of the the stalls has a curtain instead of a door. This is bizarre for a restaurant that seems to consider itself upscale. Regardless of the drawbacks, the food and ambiance are worthy of a visit and I recommend the Sunset Restaurant at the Lodge.
