They've changed their service style recently to a counter service. You order at the counter, but they'll bring it to your table. If you want the full plate, you can 'upgrade' to beans, rice & roasted veggies for $3 more. The pork was plentiful and the sauce added a nice sweet (with a touch of) heat to the meat. The fries were golden & crispy. And forgo the ketchup - use the Dr. Bill's Savory Sauce on the table. I don't know where they got it, but it's delicious. It is definitely a no frills type place, but that's fine by me. PV can use a good dose of no frills places.

We almost missed out on arguably one of the best parts of our wedding because I didn't want to have to call. Thankfully, they were serving up their creations in person and we went to check them out. From the first contact, Carrie and the team were amazing! Friendly, responsive, creative. They were serving Pastrami Pretzel Bun Sandwiches at the event we attended and when they asked for a menu, we insisted on having those. Otherwise, we were open. Well Oiled sent us an amazing menu and we agreed! Between two COVID reschedules that they worked with us on, we were able to try more of their food during their drop off meals season and my husband used them to cater a work event. The feedback we got from our guests was phenomenal. Food was excellent and everyone is still talking about the charcuterie board that they put together! The team made sure to be flexible with some food allergies in our party and we even got to take home some leftovers. Their entire staff was incredible and friendly. Yes, I'm talking about eating at the food truck called On the Fly. Calling it a food truck is in this number, I'm not sure what you would call. It is fabulous. Now let's start off with the negatives, parking is not as easy as it is for most lunch places, but it's really not that bad if you know what you're doing. There are plenty of slots on the street before you get to the restaurant, and if you called ahead and are just picking up then you can park in the reserve lot, where On the Fly is located. Now these spaces are reserved for lawyers going to the courthouse, which is nearby. So you can't park there here all day, but if you're just stopping in for lunch or if you've called ahead or just picking up takeout, then you should be fine. If you're in someone's spot, the first place to look is the restaurant, so just know you may have to move fairly quickly. For me, I like to call in advance, place my order, and then Park in one of the spaces. Then I pick up my food and go and I'm only there for five minutes. Now that that's all out of the way, let's talk about some of the best food that you will have in Jaxonville. On the Fly sauce - I think this is made by a team of leprechauns they keep in the back of the food truck. Because it comes out so fresh, so delicious, and if they sold it by the gallon, I would be numero Uno in buying it. Blue chips - a great starter chips and blue cheese, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Firecracker Sesame seared Tuna - another solid performer, it has some kick to it, although the tuna is always perfectly cooked. Sweet and spicy quesadilla - oh my God, this dishes as close to heaven as I think I will ever get to. I really liked how they were willing to sit down with me and discuss flavors of the accompanying drinks combined with the food as well as helping to find several healthy options. Our evening was well attended by over 70 guests and the staff of three kept the food refreshed and appropriately heated as well as offering service for busing tables and answering questions of guests.
