Dr. Shiu is a magic lady! I fell on the ice while learning to skate. Landed on my right hip and could barely move and only made it home because i had a LOT of help After an hour, the pain was shooting from the back of my waist, down to my butt. I saw Karen in January for a chronic neck issue. Unlike other chiropractors I have worked with in the past, she actually sat down with me and got a full history, and didn't jump right into adjusting. I was a bit scared of adjusting, so she worked out perfectly, because she didn't even adjust me until several sessions in, and when she did the relief was instant! Many of the sessions were dedicated to properly showing me exercise technique so that I could avoid injury when I worked out alone, and she kept me accountable for my home exercises.
