Really careless medical group yet very expensive! Be prepared to wait super long time before you even get seen.

All of that fear and anxiety went away with just one visit to Heath Texas medical group. From the kind and welcoming receptionists to nurse practitioner Stephanie Munoz. The experience was amazing! Stephanie is kind, caring, and from the moment she walked in and introduced herself I felt like family. We talked about every concern I had in depth and she took every concern I had very seriously. From sending the referrals that I needed to typing up the clinical notes that I needed for Medications, she covered all of the bases. Please please please take the leap, don't be afraid to put your health first. Come see Miss Stephanie Munoz and her amazing team at Health Texas Medical Group ASAP. You will not regret it! You are not just a number, you're a human being who deserves to be in the best of health. Thank you for reading!

They have consistently provided superb service and follow-through, so I recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a PCP. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I missed an appointment due to an emergency, called them beforehand to let them know, and they said it would be enough since it was an emergency. Called to reschedule, they said I never called so I'd have to pay. Asked them to check their system, they didn't find evidence of my call. I called back to reschedule again, the said they found the notes in their system, but I'd have to appeal formally. I asked them what proof was needed, and they said I'd just have to make the claim that I had emergency surgery. So I asked what's the difference between now and then, since I had already done that and what would constitute as proof to waive the fee. They couldn't really answer, transferred me to billing and billing said they couldn't do anything, I'd have to talk to the practice. I asked billing to get on the call with me and the practice, and they said they would, but they did a simple transfer instead. When I finally agreed to pay and appeal later, they didn't have the appointment I needed. One big circus, wasting everyone's time, over 25 dollars.

I really like NP Ellis and I liked being able to get my blood work done in office. However, the front desk staff were rude and unorganized. They tried to charge me for someone else's appointment while checking out when I'd already paid, and were pushing their paperwork towards me. I figured this was just a bad day for them or maybe they were very busy. A few months later as an established patient I needed an appointment due to an injury. I'm not kidding when I say I spent over an hour trying to get ahold of anyone from the office. There is no way to make an appointment online, their website says to text them during business hours but they don't reply. I left messages, I stayed on hold... I will say when I finally got to speak with someone she was super friendly and helpful (I believe her name was Carla) and she set me up with NP Greene as Ellis was booked. I absolutely love NP Greene! She really listened to me, had a reasonable approach to my problem, and even sent medications to my pharmacy to help with my issue. I felt like she tackled every avenue and was very thorough. So naturally I'd love to see her again. Had a cold about 3 weeks ago and thought I'd try to get in to see her, called the office, texted, never heard back. Now I'm trying to make my annual appointment, and can't get anyone to answer. I leave a message, they say they'll call back, they don't. Seriously, what kind of office is this?!? If I were a provider working here I'd be pretty mad that my patients were being ignored and unable to even schedule an appointment with me. I am going to continue to try to book an appointment to see NP Greene because I really did appreciate her care, but the scheduling department is in desperate need of an overhaul.

When we arrived they made him wait in the car because he has "covid symptoms". 1) not everything is COVID related ..I hate when that is the answer to everything. 2) When a patient tells you they have been fainting, WHY would you send them back to the car, wouldn't you want to take them right away???? We were seen by Dr. de Sequera. During the exam, he heard people singing 'Happy birthday' to a patient. He then chooses to open the door in attempt to join in. How unprofessional is that? He literally had my dad on the exam table. This place has terrible customer service! My dad is terribly dehydrated and they sent him home without giving him an IV. He fell during one of his blackouts and cut his eye, they didn't even check for a concussion. On top that that..they didn't explore his stomach pains any further and ruled it food poising. Additionally, we got a second opinion and it turns out that he did In fact need an IV and an exam of his head! You're better off self medicating than getting the attention you need at this location.

Like some of the other reviews caution, you will spend a good amount of time in the waiting room.  I told myself that this was because Dr. Wiesenthal really takes her time with each patient.  I looked forward to my time with the attentive doctor. My time with the attentive doctor went like this: Me: Describes a symptom I am experiencing. Her: Hands me a business card referring me to another doctor. Me: Describes a symptom I am experiencing. Her: Hands me a business card referring me to another doctor Over. And over.   I left with 6 business cards, no discussion on what might be going on with me,  no clarification or insight into my symptoms,  disappointment, and a ton of questions.  One thing that Dr. Weisenthal did offer to me was a printout of the manifestation of one of my symptoms. But she never gave it to me. As I was checking out, she walked out of the back room and I said "Excuse me" in an effort to ask her about it. Her retort: "You'll have to schedule another appointment  of you want to ask me any other questions." As you would imagine, I have never felt more devalued, ignored, degraded, and looked down on.  If that is the sort of treatment that you're looking for in a physician, give Dr.  Wiesenthal a try.   If that's not what you're looking for, stay far, far away.

I found her, I found the right Doctor but unfortunately not. First time she run some tests as a general routine, the second time we went we waited long time in the room more like 45 minutes,( we got there on time for our appointment )and she showed up for just 15 minutes total, our appointment was at the same time for me and my husband, (as per our request), but in 15 minutes, just 15 minutes for two people with different questions and health concerns???, ( not enough time for either of us) she left us with the assistant for further questions. That same day I did a follow up tests results consult visit to not to waste time TRYING TO GET A HOLD OF SOMEBODY ON THE PHONE FOR MY NEXT VISIT, to my surprise the tests results took a month and a half to come in, ( very weird and too long for simple routine tests) and to my other surprise one of the assistants called me to give me the tests results of my husband and my self, the wording of this person lets say she is not a doctor to deliver news, was awful, we got really scared of what she told us, she said it very alarming and harsh, and when I got scared I ask to talk to Dr. Wiesenthal, but she said I've had to make an appointment for it, I asked her more questions about my husband and myself results and she said that Dr. Wiesenthal asked her to call us and give us the results, that's it !!! THAT'S IT???? and that she could not answer any other questions, apparently Dr. Wiesenthal was too busy to deliver such delicate news, needless to say Iwas saying ok i still have my follow up appointment with her on Friday, which I had to cancel because I had a back prodecure that same day, so I called them to let them know and reschedule, TO MY SURPRISE !! I WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT RESCHEDULE ME AND HUBBY UNTIL I PAY MY OUTSTANDING BALANCE OF 220 USD EACH!!! I was whaaaaaat! My health insurance should covered that, so I called my health insurance and they've told me that the doctor wrote the wrong code word, that she only had to change a word in it and they will cover everything, since then and after 4 weeks I've have been trying to get a hold on the phone with any human at the office but answer machine is all I've got, my hubby went to the office personally, and the receptionist said that Dr Wiesenthal is in charge of the charges and money and that she will return our inquiry, STILL WAITING ... ALMOST 5 WEEKS AND COUNTING, WAITING FOR THE DOCTOR TO CONTACT ME. Of course, I've been billed for the total amount to my home but nobody including Dr. Wiesenthal seems to care tu return any of my multiple phone calls, also in the mean time I needed to see her for new concerning symptoms about my health, BUT APPARENTLY IF I DONT PAY WHICH I'HAVE BEEN TRYING, SEVERAL TIMES, SHE IS NEGLECTING ME AS A PATIENT. LAST TIME I'VE CHECK DOCTORS TAKE CARE OF PATIENTS FIRST NOT ABOUT MONEY FIRST... I f you need proper care, I suggest go to another doctor, I don't know who gave the "Most Compassionate award" to Dr. Wiesenthal, but for sure they should review their standards to extend such an AWARD, or at least talk to some patients before giving it away. Hope this helps !!!

Unfortunately, my longtime primary care physician of many years was among those affected, and I was reassigned to a pool of seven different doctors. After my appeal to remain with my physician was denied, I decided to give the new system a chance. However, when I called to schedule an appointment with one of the assigned providers, I was told the earliest available appointment was December 2. If the purpose of this reorganization was to improve patient access and care, my experience has been the exact opposite. I even reached out to a patient advocate hoping someone would recognize the impact this has on long-term patients, but I was simply told that patients are free to seek care elsewhere. It is disappointing to see patient-provider relationships that have been built over many years dismissed so easily. Continuity of care matters, and telling loyal patients to find healthcare elsewhere is not the level of service I expected from an organization that claims to prioritize its patients. Shame on Gonzaba Medical Group for handling this transition in a way that leaves long-time patients feeling unheard and undervalued.
